Book NowThe piano is a big instrument to become friends with, and it's worth every minute of practice that one can invest. I make every effort to make learning fun, and I include music games that bring the aha moments that help motivate my students on to the next level of reading and technique. I am patient, supportive with my students, and my low key approach sets them at ease so it's easier to learn and retain. I have taught piano students of all ages for 8 years, and thoroughly enjoyed each one age group. I"m looking forward to meeting you and teaching you how to play the wonderful piano!!
About Debbie
I have been playing since I was a young child. I became interested in piano when my mother took lessons and I sat on the bench while she practiced. When she slid off the bench I slid on and just played what she had been working on so diligently. This began my playing by ear, which went into taking

Book NowI aim to focus on the fundamental aspects of solid horn playing no matter the age or skill level of the student. I have a very diverse experience to draw from in my own life and generally want to pass on the love of this instrument to anyone else who might want it. I am happy to continue to work on anything already being practiced or assign exercises and pieces I think will be helpful to grow the student’s understanding of music and flexibility and musicality on the horn.
About Brianna
I am a freelance horn player and teacher based in the Boston, MA area. I began playing the horn at the age of 8, and decided I wanted to pursue a career as a professional horn player in college. I completed my undergraduate degree at Boston University, where I studied with Eric Ruske. I then went o

For the beginner we start learning immediately, by choosing what guitar and why. The different methods of sitting with the guitar, as well as standing. We then go over tuning your instrument, these things make us more familiar with the instrument. We then learn new songs by playing either chords (harmony) or melodic lines, (melodies or scales). The beginner will also learn to use "proper technique" which includes playing on fingertips, thumb placement for the fretting hand and other approaches. The picking hand techniques include and are not limited to finger picking, or the use of the plectrum.
For intermediate player it's all about theory and practice. This level of student will learn scale and chordal theory, and apply them to existing songs as well as learning the new songs with the theory in mind. More advanced picking techniques and the ability to know when to use what picking approach when reading the the rhythm figures on the staff. Knowledge of song composition is ...

- I also take lessons from him- I've got a music background but had no previous experience with the guitar before and Mr Mandel was able to adapt his teaching style to accommodate that nicely.
-I highly recommend him!

Book NowThere are many ways to learn and get better at flute. Together we will find the way that works best for you. I have designed a plan in which you can choose step by step. You will have 3 options for each goal a) Tradicional school b) Actvice learning c) combining both.
You will improve your playing , learn your favorite pieces, and share them with your friends and family in no time.
With the traditional approach we will follow Taffanel et Gaubert method to get familiar with the notes, music reading, scales, arpeggios and sound, and we will apply all this to repertoire that we will chose according to your level and preferences.
With the Active Learning approach we will first develop the senses and skills we need to play the flute, and use alternative ways to get familiar with solfege, then we will Apply those to the repertoire. (i.e breathing exercises, games with making the sound in bottles, doing excercises to learning the notes.)
We can also combine both methods to get ...
