I have had the joy of coaching many students throughout the years. I love helping others grow their singing skills and increase their confidence and creativity! Many of my students have gone onto pursue music careers and/or being selected for singing roles in productions. I teach all genres of music and my goal is to make you shine!

While I now primarily sing classical repertoire, my roots are in Musical Theatre. My passion for singing grew from a love of Broadway and I have many years of experience performing in and assisting with musicals. My goal is for all of my singers to have a foundation of healthy vocal technique, which I build from my knowledge of classical voice. This allows for a deeper understanding of how the voice functions and leads to an overall stronger sound.

With training and teaching experience in acting, dance, and Alexander Technique, I can provide helpful tools not only for vocal technique, but also for character development, stage presence, and interpretation. When singing Broadway repertoire, it is especially important for all of these elements to come together as one in performance. I would love to help you discover your voice and work on this repertoire together!

The techniques that I employ will allow the singer more ease of vocal production and therefore an enhanced quality of sound. This leads to an Improvement in both tone and pitch.

I have a Bachelor's Degree in Vocal Performance and over 5 years of teaching music and voice. I teach and enjoy all levels and genres of music, but especially classical, musical theater, pop, and Disney music. My classes always emphasize developing a strong and confident foundation of technique that will help you to have fun and easily sing whatever genres you choose. I also specialize in audition and acting tips!

As a voice instructor with over 20 years experience in the private studio, college environment, church ministry, high school chorus master teacher, and as a free-lance performer, I understand that each student requires tools and techniques unique to their needs to grow and improve. Focusing on the basics of breath control, efficient support, and healthy vocal production, my gift of hearing and assessing each student's strengths and weaknesses allows me to create lessons catered to each singer's specific needs.

With a Master of Music in vocal performance from Peabody Conservatory of the Johns Hopkins University, an appreciation of various styles of music, and my personal investment in each individual singer, I am able to successfully share my knowledge of the vocal instrument and my love of music with my students.
