I recognize that every student is unique in the way they take in new information and progress it within their playing/singing, so I do my best to successfully tailor each lesson to each student’s individual needs. Within my prior teaching experience, I have learned that acknowledging accomplishments and student progress is a great motivator, and I am sure to highlight student strengths while still strategizing what steps need to be taken in order to further their improvement and success. Every student has different goals, and it is my job to guide them along the path to achieving them.

About Claudia

I graduated with a MM in Viola Performance from the University of Georgia in May 2019, and a BM in Viola Performance from the Peabody Institute of Johns Hopkins University in May 2017. I am currently a graduate assistant within the Hugh Hodgson School of Music at the University of Georgia pursuing

Kelly is a very friendly, skillful and patient teacher. I was very nervous to take my first flute lesson as an adult. However Kelly being a professional, she eased any nervousness that I had and gave me the confidence that I needed. I have learned so much and I cannot recommend her enough! I love playing the flute thanks to Kelly. She is the best!

Kelly is not only a fantastic teacher but is also an exceptionally talented flutist. She whole-heartedly is passionate about excelling in her own life which translates to high expectations for her students while maintaining a light-hearted learning environment, mirrored by her optimistic personality. She understands the inner mechanisms of teaching flute to people of any ages due to her excellent education and her extreme intelligence. I would sincerely recommend her to a flutist of any age or ability.

Zachary has been a fantastic instructor for my son who is new to the trumpet and has never taken lessons before. Zachary is a very encouraging teacher, and he communicates very well regarding scheduling. He has also kept lessons fresh and interesting for my fifth grader, sometimes bringing different instruments and teaching tools that keep my son engaged. Highly recommended!

Zac taught me how to properly perform an aria in front of a whole lot of important people that I was stressed about. He gave me some excellent pointers on how to work with a pianist. His knowledge of music and his experience in performance has certainly shaped the way I perceive my own performances ever since that lesson.

Perry takes the time to explain flamenco and related styles deeply and thoroughly. He also provides detailed micro-scale feedback on hand/arm placement, orientation, range and which muscle groups to engage. But more than the technical, he has an awesome vibe and makes learning guitar quite an enjoyable experience.

About Carolyn

"I feel Grace is a great teacher for my eight year old daughter. This is my daughters first time playing an instrument. Grace is so patient and respectful to my daughter. Grace is teaching us a little at a time which I believe is a good pace for us. I have had to learn as well so I can assist my daughter in her practice at home. This part I didn't expect but Grace offers guidance. I feel through Graces lessons she not only is learning how to play the violin but learning self discipline and respect."

"Serena was FANTASTIC. I did a week of hour-long singing lessons with her to learn a very difficult song to sing in front of a crowd. Before the lessons, I had no singing experience (and practically sounded like I was tone deaf -- every time I tried karaoke, the sound booth would turn my microphone down so everyone didn't leave the bar). After 5 lessons with Serena, my singing was miraculously not only tolerable, but actually impressed everyone who heard it. Serena also gave me the confidence to get through the song without panicking from nervousness. I highly recommend her."

Sean and I hit it off instantly and the things I wanted to get better at (finger picking, hammer(s) on and off, picking the notes within chords, etc.) Sean was completely versed in! Long story short... I couldn't be happier with Sean as a teacher and as a person he's totally cool as well! I recommend Sean unequivocally and if you want to start to play guitar or even get better as I do, Sean is your guy, no doubt about it!!!"

3 Crucial Tools to Help You Learn Guitar

The Black Keys' drummer Patrick Carney told Rolling Stone magazine recently that Nickelback is killing off the rock genre.  Agree?  Disagree? There will always be rivalries in the music industry, but whomever you side with, one thing is for certain: they all started out as complete beginners at one point.  So if you're just a beginner now, it will be up to you to determine who you'll want to end up like. But first, you'll need some important tools.  Take a look at this great list from …
