I've been teaching piano for over ten years, and my students have gone on to make piano a life-long hobby, play in recitals and at church, or just enjoy playing for friends and family. My objective as a music educator is to instill in students a lifelong passion for music. Within the first few lessons, you'll be able to play basic melodies and as time goes on you'll begin to play your favorite tunes comfortably. I love working with students of all ages and levels, and I can't wait to meet you!

About Caleb

A native of Raleigh, North Carolina, Caleb began playing piano at the age of 5. Throughout his childhood he took lessons in piano and voice. Caleb has a Bachelor of Music degree from Bob Jones University, Master of Music degree and Performer's Certificate from USC, where he studied under pianists M

Caleb is a great teacher! Very knowledgeable and accommodating of what I'd like to work on. In the first few weeks of working with him (starting from no piano experience), I was already playing pieces I loved and working on theory. And he's such a pleasure to work with :)

In my lessons I really listen to my students especially when it comes to the type of music that they want to learn. Many times they will bring ideas to me that they have heard or seen. I do insist on reading and using the music as a tool to improve on sight reading, rhythm and other basic studies of music. I try to make it enjoyable and fun and not a stressful experience.

About Kimberly

I began my love for the piano and music at age 9. It has been a huge part of my life ever since. I have a BA in Music Performance and have been teaching and performing for many years and love it! I teach students of all ages and levels which I thoroughly enjoy. I am open to all genres of mu

I have 18 years' worth of experience playing piano, and have played mostly classical and jazz piano during that time. I can teach beginning technique, sight reading, music theory, beginning and intermediate classical literature, as well as more advanced areas such as improvisation, chord voicings, etc. Most importantly, I work hard to ensure that my students are working toward success in their own personal goals.

I have been teaching piano to students of all ages and backgrounds for over 10 years. I am comfortable teaching in both classical/traditional and rock/pop/jazz styles, and most often help guide students in one direction or the other based on their skills and goals. Most students choose a learning path on the piano based on how much time they'd like to devote to practicing and if they'd like to learn to read traditional music notation. As a musician and teacher, I don't believe there is one 'correct' style of music learning. Not all talented musicians are conservatory trained and can sight read Bach - although it IS really fun to play Bach. For many students, the goal is simply to enjoy playing the instrument, to learn songs that they love and to have some ability to just sit down and play/improvise!

Within the first few lessons, you can expect to know basic chords and scales and simple reading fundamentals, and within a few months you should expect to have a few songs under ...

Music is a joy to hear, to sing, and to play. Of all the instruments to choose from, piano is a fantastic option. It's beautiful both as an incredible, rich solo instrument and accompaniment, blending with other instruments through chords or melody.

No matter your age, ability or taste in genre, you can learn to love playing. It brings Jane pleasure to help you along the way.

While theory is certainly an important part of music, Jane's aim is to get you up and running so you can play what you want to hear. As a student, your job will be to practice what you have learned, and most importantly, to have fun gaining competency as a musician.

"I have been taking lessons with Heather for almost 3 years and it has significantly improved my piano playing. I started as an adult learner and was stuck “in a groove” when I started lessons with Heather. She has helped me to learn more technical skills to play piano more efficiently and with more ease. She is extremely experienced and knowledgeable, so if you’re looking for the best, look no further. I have recommended her to my niece, sister-in-law, and mother-in-law. If you are looking for classical and/or hymns piano teacher, Heather is an excellent choice."

A lead sheet is a simple song arrangement that usually contains the melody line, lyrics and chord symbols. Sometimes. it may not even have a melody line and only lists the chords at the appropriate place to change them.
