Master in most physics concepts. Can identify student shortfalls and address them through the subject fundamentals approach and by tying in real world applications for easier grasp of material.

About Daniel
I'm a graduate of UCLA School of Engineering with a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering. I have a passion for explaining how the physical world works through math and physics along with 10 years of tutoring experience in those subjects, test prep, and mentorship programs. The teaching strategy I believe in emphasizes subject fundamentals, a powerful and necessary tool for higher problem solving. This strategy has proven effective regardless of the student's educational background or mental ability. Besides being knowledgeable, I am motivating, caring, and patient in guiding your student to academic success!

Executive Functioning is a separate realm that tutoring can assist in. It deals with cognitive processes including organization, time management, and study skills. Much of the difficulty students face in academic subjects can be attribute
d to the lack of executive functioning. They either cannot keep up with the pace and workload that advanced courses demand or haven't figured out the best way to study for themselves. I am able to assess a student's shortcomings and formulate a plan for higher achievement.

Daniel helped me with GRE math. We worked on problem solving, numeric entry and quantitative comparisons, all areas I really struggled with. I needed to raise my score by a few points, and I'm confident that Daniel's sessions will allow me to achieve that when I take my test next. Sessions were extremely useful and efficient. He used an online whiteboard, along with Skype, so that I had an easy to see breakdown of all of the problems. Not only did he help with problems, but he also gave me multiple resources to use in the future when studying for the GRE (e.g. great websites, formulas, etc.) I recommend him to everyone who needs help in math!

I obtained my Master's Degree in Physics the summer after my Bachelor's; you want someone who has TAed physics classes and obtained a graduate degree in it at your side to make sure you master the class and your studies.

I'm also prepared for teaching! I have TAed multiple physics classes in college and taught over two dozen students in the past year alone! I know how people learn and am fully equipped to help you master physics.

Shoot me a message to determine what the best game plan is for your individual needs. I work with students through material, practice problems, test/quiz prep, teach supplemental lectures from unclear lectures in class, and write practice materials for my students! Let me help you master this topic to meet your goals.

About Alex
Teaching is what I do! I have TAed multiple classes and taught dozens of students. I teach piano and other music concepts, as well as STEM fields in school. I only teach concepts that I'm completely fluent in, however, so you always get the absolute best instruction possible!

I have been playing piano for over 12 years. I retrained from scratch in the Taubman Technique a few years ago and play with ease and effortless musicality! I have taught tons of students how to play the instrument, incorporating these concepts into their playing as well.

I also tutor in STEM topics, including all math, physics, chemistry, and others. I have tutored over 2 dozen students and helped many achieve great results. I have a Master's degree in applied physics, graduated Magna cum Laude, and am fully prepared to help you master your math/science class

Schedule a lesson with me! See yourself improve from someone who knows how people think and understands the topics enough to impart the same onto you!

Alex is extremely passionate when it comes to teaching piano. He breaks down music theory in a way that you can understand, allowing you to take that knowledge to learning pieces all by yourself.

As a Civil Engineer, I have had a good share of Physics classes. Construction is unimaginable without this knowledge! I can help you out in grasping the importance of this subject and how it is key to so many things in our surroundings.

About Pedro
I am a Civil Engineer specialized in Earthquake Engineering, but have diversified my background throughout the years (I am an avid student myself!). My teaching experience includes working as a professor at my university back at home and tutoring high school students- mainly in mathematics and physics. I have also taught Spanish to foreigners in my country. Before obtaining my degree, I worked as a computer technician and have always maintained this as a side-job and hobby. So I can also help you out if you wish to learn more about computers!

Anthony is a thorough professional and devoted tutor. My teenage daughter, who is homeschooling and takes 1 or 2 intensive courses at a time, was able to swiftly move through the geometry material with the excellent instruction and guidance of Anthony as her teacher.

I have referred several students to Anthony in subjects ranging from AP Physics to ACT prep. He is highly skilled in the subjects he teaches. Just as importantly he is very empathic, and kids enjoy working with him. He is kind with them while still being able to keep them focused and on track.

Let us be honest here - we all have fallen behind in studies at some point in our lives. We are human after all! That, however, does not mean we cannot get back on track. All it takes is a bit of consistency; but when you have an opportunity to learn in a more informal environment with help of someone who is not much older than you, you get that extra personal connection that may help you navigate through the material easier and show that after all, learning can be enjoyable if done correctly.

Though I am a third-year college student majoring in Physics, my experience already includes tutoring peers and younger K-12 students since junior year of High School. I also have had experience tutoring math and physics to kids diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, so yes, I can explain things REALLY well. I also have experience incorporating material learned into a practical application, so when your nihilism takes over and you ask yourself about why you have to know this, I will have an ...

About Alexander
Hey there!

I have to America from Russia over six years ago. I lived in quite a few places and have seen quite a few things for my young age! Back in high school, I always loved the "nerdy" subjects and anything that was related to them. I even was a member of the high school robotics club where my friends and I have competed in the First Tech Challenge several years in a row and even won a couple of medals.

But I also was on my high school swim team and water polo team. In 2015 I even participated in the Junior Olympics representing Rose Bowl Aquatic Center Water Polo Club located in Pasadena, CA. For those of you who don't know, water polo is a lot like a mix of soccer and drowning - always fun but can get intense very fast!

When I moved to Maryland with my family, I had to stop playing water polo because it was not so common
here to have a high school team. I kept swimming and playing volleyball instead which really made my days more enjoyable and helped me find new friends in a new place.

I went to Montgomery College upon graduating from Walter Johnson High School and dedicated my first two years toward studying Psychology and Brain Sciences and later was accepted to UC Berkeley. I was so ready to go back to California but changed my mind last minute and transferred to the University of Maryland College Park instead where my interest in Psychology magically turned into a Mechanical Engineering major.

There were always a lot of things that interested me in life and this is not even a third of them - that is why there was so much fluctuation in my commitments. But whenever I cared about something, I gave it my 100% and I hope that I can inspire you to do the same!
