Piano Lessons in Omaha. Amazing Teachers.

In my lessons, we will cover technique, scales, and repertoire. I do emphasize basic theory to help students better understand the music and learn pieces more quickly. While working on these aspects of piano, I also try to make lessons fun and engaging so that the music has depth and a natural flow rather than mechanical approach that tends to make music dry and robotic.

I'm an experienced piano teacher for over 13 years that's looking to work with eager students of all experience levels from ages 5 & up! I structure my lessons so students learn what they want to learn, while also building a strong foundation in what they need to know to be successful.

In my lessons, we work around a student's specific goals favorite songs/ genres in order to determine our path. I teach basic music theory and note-reading while helping my students play the songs they enjoy. I prepare my students for both music enjoyment as well as performance if that's their intended goal.

I have my Bachelor's in Music Education, and I am pursuing my Master of Music, major in music education, full-time. I have a thriving small private lessons studio entirely online. I teach beginner and early intermediate piano (about the first 2-3 years of study).

I teach both classical, theater, pop and rock music. I can also teach the blues. I like any genre of music, so I feel confident that I can assist a student in learning whatever song they like.

I grew up being trained classically, and although I value the skills I learned from classical training, I realized that I did miss out on the other aspect of learning piano skills. Those skills include improvisation, creativity, song-writing, and much more! I purposefully incorporate more than just sheet music reading while also trying to make reading music more accessible and relatable. Each student also has different individual goals with piano playing that I think are of utmost importance in the way I teach.
