I'm an experienced and dedicated musician, having played with Orchestras and Chamber groups throughout my state. My lessons are focused on relaxation, and am as laid back or strict as the student needs. Whether you're a beginner or advanced, shooting to be a church player or a pro, I have taught students for that and am the teacher for you.

About Nicholas

This far he is a very knowledgeable and professional person. Unfortunately we found that my cello was lacking due to defects in build and so now I have to get a replacement which I am hoping does not hinder our lessons. He has been very helpful with getting me sites to get material and tools necessary for our sessions. Look forward to our next session and moving forward.

He is really good at helping you understand how to play the instrument in detailed but open ways. He is a font of information.

I came to Mark with utterly no background in the violin, wanting to start as an adult learner, and I can't imagine a better teacher than Mark. Mark is helping me gain crucial fundamentals while also learning fun pieces to strengthen those elements and encouraging me to select pieces, too.
I also like that he incorporates some music theory into his lessons.
Finally, I feel like becoming a violinist now, as an adult, isn't as crazy as I worried it might be since I have Mark to teach me.

Mark is a talented musician and worked very well with my son to help improve and fine tune his viola performance just before he heads off to college. Emphasis was placed on technique and musicality. A great experience ! At one point Marked picked up his electric violin and played a beautiful duet with my son that was amazing!

I have studied violin for 20+ years, and I love working with beginner students of all ages. While I was trained classically, I work professionally playing for Broadway musical theater, and was most recently The Fiddler in the Drama-Desk winning revival of The Fiddler on the Roof Off-Broadway. I have played a range of genres in my professional career, such as musical theater, bluegrass, and pop. For my young learners, I begin with the Violin Fun books and the Suzuki method, and incorporate music theory and scales into each lesson. No matter the age of my students, I keep lessons interesting by introducing students to a range of genres, and I always make sure to incorporate songs you've always wanted to learn!

About Lauren

I'm a Broadway performer in NYC, and have played such roles as the Fiddler in the hit off-Broadway revival of The Fiddler on the Roof, directed by Oscar and Tony award winner Joel Grey (2019 Drama Desk Winner Best Musical Revival) and Reza in the national tour of Once (Tony winner best musical). I

He started out with the basics, switched with him to current music when his interest was waning, and is now helping him get ready for orchestra next year. He is very clear in instruction, patient with my son (now 12), and takes an interest in the student to be sure they are both learning and enjoying their lessons. What Are the Best Violin Brands for Beginners?

When you’re first starting to look for a violin brand, it's important to find a compromise between affordability and good quality.
