This album is a tribute and memorial to an amazing journey I had traveling and living in Europe for 3 years.
After I graduated from my undergraduate degree, I realized that in order to better my skills as a musician and become the guitar teacher I wanted to be I had to travel abroad. I moved to Seville, Spain where for three years I studied the art of classical and flamenco guitar.
I studied with a international known Spanish guitarist named Francisco Bernier at the Conservatory in Seville. During this time I was also teaching English as a second language to high school and middle school students. From traveling and spending so much time in Europe, I also developed and studied my love of languages and I became fluent in Spanish and Italian.
The experienced was an experience of a lifetime and I made many friends working and living abroad that to this day, I still keep in contact with.
If you are interested in having lessons with me, please contact me and we can begin learning the art of making beautiful music or learning the beautiful languages of the Mediterranean! "Hasta pronto!" "A presto!" and "Speak to you soon!"

About Karen C.
CloseI was born and raised in Rome and move to the U.S. to pursue my dream. I provide customized lessons based on the student's specific need. I believe immersion is the best way to learn a language (that is how I learned English), therefore I try to minimize English interactions during the lessons. I also give practical exercises for the students to do between lessons. Unless specifically requested by the students, my lessons are typically not grammar-heavy but are more focused on useful Italian conversations to help the students become comfortable speaking and understanding.
About Karen
I provide lessons to people of all ages determined to learn or improve Italian. Each lesson is customized based on the specific needs of each student and the goals they are ready to achieve.
~Parlare é la chiave per imparare~
Cancellation or reschedule policy: If you need to cancel or reschedule a lesson, I will be happy to do so but would require 24 hours notice prior to your scheduled lesson time.

Hello!
I am Italian and since January I am living in Texas. My goal is to help whoever needs support to learn Italian.
As a teacher I have always taught art and theatre to elementary kids.
Here in Texas I would like to bring my knowledge of Italian focusing on the structure of the language itself and on the slang.
As homework I will recommend Italian movies to watch, Italian music to listen to and books to read, depending on the student's level.

I am Italian and since January 2016 I am living in Texas. My goal is to help whoever needs support to learn Italian.
As a teacher I have always taught art and theatre to elementary kids.
Here in Texas I would like to bring my knowledge of Italian focusing on the structure of the language itself and on the slang, in order to be ready to face a real Italian environment.
I speak Italian, English, Spanish and I am now learning French.
I truly believe in the power of a language and in its most "informal" way to be spoken, therefore conversations are going to be a big part of our sessions.
As homework I will recommend Italian movies to watch, Italian music to listen to and books to read, depending on the student's level.
I can travel to students or meet them online.
Feel free to contact me to get more details!

Ciao! Sono Lorena! I am a native Italian speaker. I am from Treviso, a beautiful town located near Venice. I would like to help you learn this beautiful language in a fun way. Tell me your goals and I can tailor the class according to them. Maybe you want to learn some basic words to get around Italy for an upcoming holiday or perhaps you study it years ago and you would like to improve it. Maybe you want to learn some words and phrases to impress your date. Or perhaps you like a particular Italian song and you would like to understand the meaning and learn how to sing it!
About Lorena
My background is in foreign languages and I love traveling and meeting new people. I studied English and French in Italy before spending two years in England working and studying to perfectionate English where I also learned conversational Spanish.
Once in the USA I started working in the information technology field for a company that had a branch in Italy. I had to assist, translate and teach different materials in Italian and I also did some freelancing tutoring.
I have three children and I also speak and teach Italian to them only. It has been fun to see them being comfortable in speaking Italian when we go to Italy. I try to travel to Italy at least once a year.
My other passion is cooking and baking. I was lucky that I grow up with both my parents
I also have a love for fashion! Growing up in Italy means being surrounded by beauty everywhere.. the marvelous architecture and art, the language and music, the beautiful landscapes, the fruits of nature and the fashion! I believe because of this most Italians develop a sense of style. When I moved here I realized how much harder was to find unique clothes and accessories so I enjoy the challenge to put together outfits with what I have available.

Her birth place. Lorena will share simple, healthy recipes you will use for a lifetime. I learned so much from her and I'm already a glorified chef. Her signature dishes with all the Venetian secrets can be revealed in her kitchen or yours. She's a very good listener and will adapt to what your family likes to eat. I will continue my lessons after the New Year... wanting to pare wine with the food . Another hidden talent .thank you Lorena
