A Better Way to Learn
Teaches Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced
Teaching since 2012
I teach all techniques of oil painting, from painting fast and loose to the style of the old masters'. I work with my students to identify their painting goals (I teach all levels and do not require any prior artistic experience!) and create a custom lesson plan to help develop their painting skillset. I teach the very basics of how to mix paints all the way to more complex portfolio reviews and critiques of painting concepts. I believe anyone can learn to paint when given the right tools! Let's get painting.
I am a professional artist and musician in Chattanooga, TN! I have been teaching art and music for six years in California and Tennessee. I have been painting since I was big enough to hold a paintbrush and playing the harp for over 15 years. I have a degree from Stanford University in Art Practice
I've been obsessed with oil painting, and every kind of 2D visual art, for as long as I can remember, but I never really believed in myself to do it until I worked with Tori.
My drawing, painting, and even my 3D work progressed more, and more quickly, working with Tori than they had in years
Thank you Tori!!!!

I have practiced and studied calligraphy since 1991. I taught beginning to intermediate pointed pen script at the International Association of Master Penman annual convention in Louisville in 2017. My experience includes teaching at Sycamore Adult Education and the Greater Cincinnati Calligraphers Guild. I enjoy teaching and have a wealth of information and tips to pass on. Nothing beats having an experienced instructor to guide your hand in this beautiful art. Each letter has a secret and I can't keep a secret.
I am a retired police officer with 4 grandchildren. I grew up in Cincinnati, worked in military intelligence in the US Army for three years, earned a black belt in karate and my pilot's license. I love to read and make art! If a police officer can learn calligraphy, so can you :) All it takes is y

The first thing - and honestly, when it boils down to it, only thing - you need to learn is how to see. An artist needs to look first and then respond, and I can really show you what this means. Drawing is seeing. Drawing is the first step.
I am a recent college graduate with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. My main areas of concentration are drawing and painting, but I am also trained in printmaking, photography, sculpture, etc. Being an artist means being a lot of things. You are not someone with just a hobby; you are an engineer, mathemati

I like to explore the realms of graphic design with an open mind. Creation on the computer is a newish playground that everyone with any interest should be able to play in.
I grew up learning the piano, guitar, and other instruments throughout my childhood. Now I've taken my focus and put it into playing live electronic music in a band called KAIPORA. After college, and working for a couple years, I bought an RV, remodeled it, and traveled around making music for 2

Engaging one-on-one tutoring that doesn't waste any time getting into the content that will improve your photos. I use visuals aids (and a whole lotta hand talk, lol) to help make these lessons comfortable and easy to understand. Together we go over the foundation of each of the lesson concepts then discuss how to start applying those concepts for results today.
If you'd like to show me your work and discuss something specific that you're struggling with (blurry images, weird colors, crooked lines, etc ), be prepared to show me the "raw" (unedited) version of your picture and what your camera settings were.
Can't wait to meet you :)
