I've taught acting to children, teens, and adults in the US and abroad since 2005 and my students are working actors! About TOYA
I have taught acting to small children, teens, and adults in community, private, and collegiate settings. I taught acting at the legendary Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in New York City. I currently work professionally as an actor, singer, and TV and radio host. I've been fortunate enough to work in film, TV, theater, musical theater, hosting, commercials, improv, and voice-overs. I have been teaching and coaching actors for 20 years. My students work professionally on stage, TV and film. Within the first few lessons, you will understand how to create a character. Soon, you will have the skills to book a role. I specialize in method acting, but draw upon my experience at The Second City (improvisation) in Chicago and other training I have had. I love working with students of all ages and experience levels; I can't wait to meet you!

About Jeremy
Are you working on a part for a play or film and need assistance? If you are new to acting, I can teach you what it takes to be an actor and how to bring a character to life. Do you need to prepare for an audition? Do you want to learn about the business of acting? Script analysis? I can help.

I can help with your audition for performing arts high schools in NYC. My students have gotten into the schools of their choice.

If you have training or are a working actor, I can help take you to the next level.

I am a working actor, published playwright and award winning filmmaker. I graduated from the Lee Strasberg Theater Institute at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts where I majored in drama. Currently, I am faculty member at Lee Strasberg Theater Institute in New York. I teach Method Acting, Acting for Camera, Improvi
sation as well as other classes. My students, both at the Institute and from private coaching, have appeared in independent stage and film productions, TV shows, commercials and Hollywood films.

Acting is the art of bringing a character to life. I use the Lee Strasberg Method, my original exercises and a fun and serious demeanor to help actors express themselves as artists and gain the confidence and skills they need in order to book acting jobs.

My book, "The Young Actor's Handbook", is published by Applause Theatre and Cinema Books. "The Young Actor's Handbook" ignites the beginning actor's creative soul with acting exercises, acting theory, writing exercises and insight into what it means to be an actor. This is a pragmatic manual that guides and informs the young actor, beginning actor, novice acting teacher or anyone who wants to understand acting.

"Jeremy Kruse's book, "The Young Actor’s Handbook", leads the young actor on the correct path. Jeremy is an experienced acting teacher who has broken down acting in an academic way while nurturing the soul of the actor. He understands the emotional aspects of good acting. I commend Jeremy and believe he has accomplished quite a feat in writing "The Young Actors Handbook." - Vincent D'Onofrio

Having a background in film, I can give you the personal attention, acting techniques, and career guidance you need to reach your full potential as an actor.

About Michael
One-to-One Acting & Voice Lessons with a Concierge Approach.

With a background of over 12 years in classical vocal and acting practice, coupled with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Belmont University, I am uniquely positioned to train students of all ages, backgrounds, and genres.

Unlike most studios, my approach focuses on the true artist development—through a consultative, one-to-one methodology. Because I understand that each artist has a different set of goals and desires—each lesson is tailor-made to fit the needs of that student.

By developing closely-knit relationships with each of my students, I am able to execute bespoke plans that focus specifically on your needs and goals rather than a typical, "one size fits all" program

In 2015, I graduated from Belmont University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical The
atre.

In May of 2015, I signed on to the Daniel Hoff Agency in New York City. Shortly after, I began working for Disney Cruise Lines as a MainStage performer until this past September (2016).

My passion for the arts goes well beyond the stage & I'm actively pursuing a film career here in Atlanta, GA. I have taught voice & acting since 2013 - including many workshops & masterclasses in Houston, Nashville, & New York

It is my belief that finding & developing your inner artist, follows sincere passion for your craft. It is this very passion for which I'm driven to develop my students' voice & acting abilities as they continue to grow.

Honestly the BEST!! I was able to purchase 10 lessons with Michael as a birthday present. I love broadway singing and am self-taught. I had basically reached the end of what I could do myself, and these lessons were incredibly helpful. I had a major breakthrough and have never been happier with my voice. He is incredibly organized, professional, and friendly. It can be nerve racking singing in front of someone, but he makes you feel comfortable and enables you to have fun and look forward to your lessons. I wish I was able to continue my lessons with Michael. I would recommend him to everyone!! Seriously the best!

Teaching came to me through the recommendations of my own acting teachers. When I followed their advice I found that I could really connect and communicate with my students with the same clarity and communication that I had with other actors. I found that I could really assess and convey to them what they needed to really crystallize both their experience and delivery of a given character and/ or scene, and in such a way that they REALLY enjoy the process! Together we take them on a journey of enhanced self-discovery and delivery. My lifetime in the performing arts, close to 20 years of professional acting (on both coasts), years of intensive study with some of the true greats (Gary Austin, Dave Razowsky, Barbara Niven, Terry Schreiber, Wenndy Mackenzie, Jeffrey Sweet, Carol Fox Prescott, and others), and experience directing, casting, and producing in Los Angeles all inform the process we engage. I'm proud to say that many of my students have exclaimed that my class was the best, or ...

About Rob
I've been so blessed to have had game-changing acting teachers who really "got," affirmed, challenged, invigorated, and transformed me. They've helped me in so many ways in my career and life overall. I want you to have that, too! I LOVE THE PROCESS - AND YOU WILL, TOO! There is as much joy and discovery to be had in every acting moment as there is technical prowess to be honed, and in order to make the whole thing synergize both have to be involved and engaged. The truth is that you, as you are, have a great deal of it already covered, but you just may not know what you know and what you have. Discovering that is joyful and empowering, and the rest is a combination of learning how to perfect and wield what you already know and learning the tools and techinques you don't yet know. Then it's a matter of repeating and honing that with someo
ne who you can trust; a teacher who really gets you, your type(s), your joy, your own unique colors and qualities.

You also need a teacher and coach who knows the particulars and requirements the industry has and will expect of you. I've worked on the east coast, in Los Angeles, and other places around the country, on stage and on the big and small screens. I performed for years on the world renowned Groundlings stage under the direction of The Groundlings' founder Gary Austin, in his Improv Troupes. He literally gestated the original SNL yet openly referred to our group as "the best group of improvisational actors I've ever worked with in my entire career!" I still can't get over that one and probably never will. I also studied with Dave Razowsky, Michael Gellman, Jeffrey Sweet, Carol Fox Prescott, Wenndy Mackenzie, Terry Schreiber, Barbara Niven, John Strawbridge, and others. I found myself on many a stage out there while acting in films, etc., as well. Along the way I've also directed, produced, and cast feature films and shows, and of course taught. SO, let's get you on the track to real learning and growth. Also, as I put together other workshops and conferences with other teacher associates of mine - expert, renown actors and teachers from New York, Hollywood, and elsewhere - I'll keep you posted so you can not just go to but live in the next level. I look forward to it.

**NOTE: I'm now bi-coastal, dividing my time primarily between Los Angeles, CA and Baltimore, MD, but am also often in NYC and DC. So, wherever you are, if we're in geographical proximity to each other when you need a session, we'll meet up in person; and if not, no worries, we'll work together online right here in the online classroom! We'll just play it by ear. (I will also travel to any city where there are enough students interested in taking a class and offer an intensive workshop, and possibly also private coaching if time allows. We'll work out the details and pricing for those on a case-by-case basis, but please don't hesitate to contact me about such an event if you're interested in one. I'm happy to do these kinds of classes!)
