From Contemporary Christian Music all the way to Heavy Metal and everything in between, I equip my students with not only the necessary skills to proficiently play most genres, but with the confidence to excel both on the stage and in the studio. With years of professional touring and recording as the guitarist of a Christian Worship band and employment as the worship leader at several different churches, I'm your guy when it comes to all things church-related. But hey, if that's not your thing, don't look away just yet as I also have 15 years of heavy metal/rock and roll experience as well as a deep love for the pop-punk and folk genres (with much experimental dabbling in the areas of blues, jazz and bluegrass). Whether you're a beginner who's still trying to get those tough barre chords down, an intermediate player who's looking to shred the neck even faster, or someone who's never even touched a guitar, I encourage you to take a step of boldness and let me help you become the best ...

About Eli

When I was a child I begged my parents to buy me a guitar, and as I grew up, year after year, I eagerly watched as each of my siblings (I have 7) received their very own "axe" on Christmases and birthdays. I waited and waited...but mine never came. Even my younger siblings got theirs before I did.

About Mikayla

My name is Mikayla and I have been playing guitar and piano for 9 years. When I first got started playing music, I was desperate for someone to sit down and teach me what I needed to know. I've been a writing, recording, performing and touring artist for 21 years now. I play in a national band and also do singer/songwriter solo work.
All of it came from learning how to play the guitar. I firmly believe that anybody can learn this, if they want to put in the work and effort. I guess the saying is: ''you don't work music, you play it, but it takes work to learn to play it''. Anyways, I've gathered a lot of experience over the years and still learning everyday. I really enjoy the teaching aspect of music and to make those musical connections with people. I think Keith Richards said it best when asked about the best part of being a musician,: ''you pass it on''. I will stand by that. Looking forward to meeting you!

About Lars

My name is Lars and I am looking forward to teaching you guitar. I've been teaching guitar for 7 years. I believe that anybody can learn to play well, if they work hard, stick with it and have a passion for it. Because I did. It took a lot of work for me and did not come easy. It's never easy, nor

Lars had bern a wonderful teacher to my two daughters. While I am a Swedish speaker myself, I have found it challenging to keep up with teaching my children the language (much to my dismay). Lars is very patient and encouraging in his teaching approach. He is fun and easy going and my girls look forward to their lessons. Learning Swedish with Lars has been a great experience!

The word “regal” is hidden in his name...coincidence? I think not. I’ve been learning guitar with Lars for about 4 months now and it has been liberating! Lars is a prophet. Patient, boisterous and professional to work with. He meets me where I’m at and our lessons are steered naturally. Lars energizes every lesson with his exuberant personality! The ride never ends! If I were rich, I would take daily lessons with Lars. I was referred to Lars by another magical musician friend, who once said, “Nagel teaches like the demon spawn of Albert Einstein. He’s easy on the eyes, his songs will make you cry, and if HE can’t teach you you’re dead inside. Nagel is Bill AND Ted.” -D.G. I couldn’t agree more!

Lars is a wonderful teacher. He is very patient and teaches guitar with great enthusiasm. I really enjoyed playing music with him and was able to learn so many new techniques and songs from him.

I deeply care about each and every one of my students. I believe in the power of learning an instrument in someone's development as a part of their education and providing meaning in their lives. I tailor the lesson to each student's needs and interests. There are so many ways to conceptualize music and theory and I am dedicated to making sure each student has a strong foundation that works for them. I am interested in making the student a better musician, not just a guitarist, so hopefully they will one day be able to teach someone else.

About Abigail

Hi guys! My name is Abigail and I've been playing Classical guitar since 2007. I specialize in Classical and fingerstyle acoustic guitar. I love music and am currently in my Senior year studying Classical guitar performance at University of Denver. I am interested in the music of Classical Spain an

I do not teach guitar for readers or cover artists. If you want to learn how to find your own style and build on what is unique and valuable in what you play, I can help you.

I typically can't offer much to an already advanced player as they've already acquired and embedded habits I will train less experienced players to either avoid or incorporate from a creative rather than copy-cat methodology.

Students will be taught "Expressive Practicing", a technique emphasizing skills earned through inspired playing. This is a highly individualized method based on the students instinctive capabilities such as having an natural "ear". Fundamentals are taught as applied through a run-before-you-walk set of exercises and structured improvisation techniques.

About Richard

I can't wait to work with you! I am passionate about the subjects I teach, and find nothing can compare to seeing a student "get it", so they may too enjoy the passion that comes from learning and doing something they love. Everything I teach I've learned most completely by doing as a Profession

Richard is so patient and knowledgeable. I am very happy with our lessons. Because of my background with classical guitar he wondered if the fact that he doesn't read music and I am renewing my mind back into it would not be a good teaching set-up. Not at all. I now have an electric guitar and the five years spent playing classical, now fifteen years ago, did not give me a good foundation for understanding music theory unfortunately. I have a genre I had already picked out fingerstyle electric and now with some thinking my way through the basics I did have I still need to learn just basic strumming etc. I understand what he is referring to in music so we still speak in the same key. Also and lastly my daughter has a severe seizure/dementia disorder that is very unpredictable and our caregiver's mom just passed away so there will be times when I just can't do a week/day. He has been very understanding. I am smiling from my soul because music is my healing path for difficult stuff I couldn't pay any doctor/therapist to even call me back for. Thank you so much for your assistance. Sincerely Teresa

"This guy can help you be the guitarist you have always wanted to be, especially if you are just starting. He’s one of the most intuitive players I’ve ever heard and he is an amazing teacher. AND, he’s a riot.

Guitarists who tour with famous acts are the best of the best.
This doesn’t mean they can actually teach. In this case, Corey spent years touring with Motown and rock artists and built a large following of loyal students as well.

From all his years of playing, Corey developed a killer teaching method. And it works. His students learn to have a really good time with their music. He uses his outrageous sense of humor to make you feel comfortable and empowered, at every session.

It’s cool to learn from a 20 year old. There is also a lot to be said for learning from guys who have been playing a long time.

I am a music teacher (keyboard) as well. If you want a great experience learning to play guitar, Corey is your guy. You will have SO much fun!

How do I know this? I used to tour with him and I’ve known him for many years. If you get to study with Corey, you’ll be glad you did.

The Black Keys' drummer Patrick Carney told Rolling Stone magazine recently that Nickelback is killing off the rock genre.  Agree?  Disagree? But first, you'll need some important tools.  Take a look at this great list from …

The Loog Guitar Revolution: Guitar Lessons for Kids Will Never be the Same

As a music educator and performer, I’m always interested in learning about new products and tools that can help students succeed.  When I discovered the Loog Guitar, a 3-string interchangeable guitar designed with children in mind, I immediately took notice. I was excited to find out more about the Loog because I took guitar lessons when I was 8 years old, and it proved to be easier said than done. The guitar was added to the list of instruments that were uncomfortable for my tiny hands (w …
