Experienced musician of over 20 years, specializing in sharing Fine Arts with the beginner/intermediate flute student! All ages welcome. Lessons are customized and catered to the needs/goals of each student. I will help you build a solid foundation of music theory and technique while tailoring to your personal tastes and needs/goals. Not only will you be playing songs in no time, but you will be building a strong foundation of note reading, music theory, ear training, sight reading, technique, and more. Let's get started! I studied Flute in college and have taught lessons on on it over the last 10 years.

As a professional flutist who is also a professional violinist (and a violinist who is also a flutist), you will receive a unique approach. In addition to using traditional flute method books and standard classical repertoire, I incorporate unique concepts from the string player's approach to their instrument to illustrate breathing and tonal concepts for the flutist.

You will receive a custom designed curriculum to address your specific needs, technical issues and musical goals.

My students excel in everything they do because of the techniques we learn that incorporate skills to strengthen learning in subjects including: math, science, languages, reading, writing, creativity and many more life long skills. I challenge my students and encourage them to have fun most of all in pursuing their passions for music.

Ten minutes will usually be warmups, tuning, exercises to strengthen breath support and tone. The remainder of the lesson will be spent working on repertoire

I have a Bachelors Degree in Music Education and Flute Performance. I can teach students who are just beginning as well as students who are well into high school. I structure my lessons so students learn what they want to learn, while also building a strong fundamental skills.
