She is amazing violinist and teacher. Best in Atlanta. She was trained by incredible violinists in Europe and I love her sense of humor. Don't settle for unqualified teachers, just listen to her recordings and read her qualifications. Four degrees... a doctorate etc.

If I were to say 15 years on the violin, that would be a shocking time. I did earn my Bachelor’s Degree in Music where I received most of my education in both violin and piano. In my perspective, the violin is such an intricate instrument and I am blessed to work with students in wanting to learn violin. It’s true where putting the hard work in violin takes you where you need to be. It does require Practice! I am willing to work with the student and help them grow in advancing this instrument. Let’s keep in touch!

Thomas is honestly an amazing musician and teacher. He was really patient with me. Despite having to deal with major timezone differences (as I live in Myanmar), he took the time to figure it out. Also, he helped me figure out the stuff it took me months to figure out. He also really knows what he's doing. I learned so much in that hour of practice. 10/10 would recommend him.

"Our son is taking violin lessons from Tigran. We absolutely love him. Tigran comes to our home every week and we have complete trust in him. He is extremely kind and patient and has an amazing teaching style. Our son has only had about 7 months of lessons and each month he has tremendous growth. He is 18 years old and has never had a violin lesson until now. He practices without us having to tell him and he looks forward each week to his lessons with Tigran----That speaks volumes about Tigran as a teacher. We highly recommend him as a teacher and a friend."

"To follow up, Jonathan is not only a very talented musician; but also takes his time with my daughter to help her understand, comprehend, and improve. The evening after our first lesson with Jonathan, she asked if she could play more (more often and longer) in lieu of chores - WOW! Never thought I'd hear that from my daughter; but Jonathan made the session enjoyable and encouraging to her. THANK YOU!!"

Tigran has helped me to pick up violin after a long hiatus.

"If you are looking for an excellent teacher that can help you develop both technique and musicality, I highly recommend Zhana.

I have had the privilege of studying with her for seven months as an adult beginner, and I have learned so much. I come out of every lesson feeling like I’ve made progress—even when I am unhappy with how I am playing, Zhana helps me understand a key thing that I need to do to play better. She is able to explain things so that you don’t just conceptually understand, but so that your body can understand too (for all those times that your brain knows what you need to do but your finger/wrist/arm/etc. won’t cooperate).

Because she has played as a professional performer, Zhana draws on her experience to guide you to bring musicality and emotion to whatever you’re playing… even if you’re still in the early Suzuki books like me. I’ve studied with many teachers in the past (in school and privately) for piano, clarinet and voice lessons, so I know that the ability to teach across this broad spectrum of skills is rare.

Zhana isn’t just a great teacher, she is also a wonderful person. I am moving out of the city for a year, but I fully intend to continue lessons with her when I return!"
