About Jimmy

I have over 30 years experience as a professional guitar instructor and have been actively teaching lessons in Henry County, GA as well as Clayton County, GA. And have branched out to teach online as well. I had actually started teaching friends as a teenager since 1976 where I grew up in N.Y. and those friends still play guitar to this day, a couple have become professional musicians. I started teaching guitar professional in 1983. Over the years I've had the pleasure of teaching hundreds of students at every skill level.

I teach several styles of playing: Rock, Jazz, Blues, Country, Funk, Rhythm & Lead guitar playing, Classical guitar and Fingerstyle playing. I teach on electric & acoustic guitar.

I have one basic philosophy in my approach to teaching: get the student to fall in love with the guitar so it becomes a life-long pass

ion. As an instructor, I endeavor to make guitar lessons fun, practical and productive!!! Whether you're a beginner, intermediate, advanced or even at the professional level, I can help you advance your playing skills.

Pick up that guitar that has been sitting in your closet or rent one from the store- learning to play the guitar is fun and easy with the methods that I use. Learn to read notes and chords at your own pace!

About Shannon

Music is my passion, my hobby, my career and my gift. I have been performing since age 7 and teaching for the last 25 years. I have a bachelor's and master's degree in music and love to share my knowledge and experience with all ages and aptitudes - even special needs. My approach to teaching is fun but serious, laid-back but encouraging, demanding but forgiving. I teach students how to be disciplined with their practice and how to make the most of their limited time.

*** Lesson Details ***
I can help you achieve your goals! For those who want a well-rounded music education, I include music theory (note and rhythm reading), technique, ear training, improvisation and performance practice in my curriculum using a variety of methods. I enjoy working with adults interested in picking up their instrument after a number of years. P

erhaps you are someone interested in pursuing an ability to play a certain style - pop, jazz, hymns, oldies, classics, or certain artists. I customize our lessons to match your objectives.
My students have an opportunity to perform publicly several times a year which encourages practice and also builds confidence. After a few lessons, I can provide an idea of where a student will be in 3-6 months. You can always expect to find me prepared with fun ideas for our lesson. I have a grand piano as well as several keyboards to add variety and fun to our lessons.

*** Studio Equipment ***
home-grand piano in living room seating for parents
church- digital piano and seating for parents

*** Travel Equipment ***
I would bring my own violin to demonstrate but would expect students to have their own instrument.

*** Specialties ***
For piano, I use Faber & Faber, Alfred, Bastien and Music for Little Mozarts. I include sight reading books, rhythm workbooks, improv studies, and later scales and arpeggios. For violin I have created my own hybrid using traditional methods and Suzuki.

*** Lesson Details ***
I strive to give my students the resources they need to reach their own personal goals they have set for themselves. My students can expect laid back, but extremely productive lessons. I want to find out what best suits each student and what style of music they like and tea

ch from that. The more passionate you are about something the greater the impact will be. You will learn basic techniques that will help you build the foundation to jumpstart a musical career. If you want to be the next Led Zeppelin I will get you on the road to rock and roll; if you want to be the next Mark Hall then I will help you become the next great worship leader. Whatever your goals may be as a student, throughout a series of lessons and practice at home, I will help you easily obtain and surpass your goals as a musician.

*** Studio Equipment ***
Music Store with seating for parents

*** Specialties ***
I make sure students not only learn to play, but understand basic theory behind what they are playing. I show them how to play songs they wish to learn and how to perform them if they wish. I generally follow classic rock and pop styles, though can do others.

Private Acoustic Guitar Teacher

I have performed on and taught acoustic guitar for nearly 20 years.

I know hundreds of songs so I can always find songs which make beginners into players quickly.

I love soloing. I have several unique techniques I share with more advanced students to enable them to become stronger guitar players and overall musicians.

About David

I grew up in Birmingham, AL, Boston, MA, and Cleveland, OH, and was classically trained on violin in all three cities by members of their respective orchestras. I began studying theory in 7th grade at The Alabama School of Fine Arts. I continued theory lessons while in Boston at the New England Conservatory of Music. I attended Summer music programs at Apple Hill (New Hampshire) and Sewanee (Tennessee) and have extensive experience in orchestra, quartet, and chamber group environments.

Upon graduating Emory university in 1992 I played professionally in Destin, FL as a bassist, guitarist, violinist, and vocalist. I performed as bassist and backing vocalist with "Salty Dog" for nearly a decade. I am the co-founder of the Destin, FL band "Beach Mice." We perform for several weddings, corporate events, and benefits every year. Beach

Mice is also popular on the festival circuit on the Emerald Coast.

I relocated to Atlanta in November of 2013, and currently perform weddings, and at various restaurants and events in the Atlanta area.

I have taught individuals and group lessons on violin, bass, and guitar since 1997 and for several consecutive years at Playground Music in Fort Walton Beach.

I have several videos available on YouTube, and a website which is easily located through a simple Google search.

I look forward to meeting you and helping you fulfill your musical goals and ambitions. Happy Playing - Cheers! dp

About Justice

Hi, I am Justice

I love to help with all of the basics and then go from there with whatever specific genre or technique each student might be interested in!

About Wes

Hey guys! My name is Wes and over the last 6-7 years I've absolutely fallen in love with music. It's amazing to me to see that music affects every single human, no matter what specific genre they might prefer. And to be able to pick up and instrument and join in on it is such an incredible experience. I started by showing a few of my friends how to play some guitar back in 2013 and I've been teaching guitar and piano lessons ever since.
