J's assisted me with my public speaking tremendously. I am not an actor at all but I struggle with speaking on camera and in front of people and J used strategies from stage performance principles and applied them. I went from stuttering and stumbling over words to speaking with clarity and confidence. I look forward to continuously work with him.

J is awesome. The class is tailored to the student to help with what student wants to learn. What you get out the class is based on the effort you put in. I started the classes not knowing anything and just wanted to see what I could do if anything and now I am confidently going to each session looking forward to seeing how far I can take it.

Because the class is designed for the individual student, I got to work with a monologue from a video game and learn how to break down the monologue, create character for the monologue (which was a challenge and a half to distant myself from the actual character) and learn to believe that my created character is real and how I can show that with my acting. In doing I decided to use an accent, and J gave me resources and tips to find that voice.

Speaking on my experience, if you are beginning like me this is the perfect man for the job. As long as you put in the work, he will help you, guide you and push you to challenge yourself when it is needed!

Evelyn is a wonderful instructor! She is insightful with many years experience under her belt and she is passionate about acting. It’s great to have her support as I go into acting for opera at the collegiate level. I enjoy working with her and I highly recommend her!

Evelyn is one of the BEST directors I have worked for as an actor. Her level of care for actors was amazing! Throughout the process she helped guide and encourage the actors to bring out the best in themselves. She has a gift for acting and as a director she can relate to actors and understand what they are going through in a production. Thank you for Evelyn for everything!!

I for sure found Coach Alicia to be a knowledgeable actor, skilled as a teacher and more precisely as a voice-over coach. What takes Coach Alicia to another level is her personality, she’s engaging and warm even when telling you nope, that wasn’t it, your delivery wasn’t authentic or true to the character or the script. I became comfortable with her fairly quickly. She made our voice-over sessions feel like we were physically in the same space and not having class online. I so loved our improv time during our sessions and it’s so vital in voiceover work. I had a great time coach, thanks for helping me grow even further and for helping me discover where my weakness are so I can improve upon them and eventually eliminate them altogether.

Alicia is a wonderful person beside she is very professional in her work. She puts all of her heart in her work. I find her the best in acting coaching, voice acting, accent coach and great therapist. She helped me with managing my time. She is a very supportive person and basically mangling my mind. And I am looking forward to work with her in a long period.

Alicia helped me upgrade my online videos to make them more dynamic by providing me tools to enhance my performance and meet my audience's needs. She's a wise, inspiring person and teacher and I recommend her for anyone who wants to improve their performance and feel more empowered in themselves!

So, what is improv? Improvisation, or improv, is a form of live theatre in which the plot, characters and dialogue of a game, scene or story are made up in the moment. Often improvisers will take a suggestion from the audience, or or draw on some other source of inspiration to get started.

Improvisation, in my opinion, is one of the most important talents that an actor can acquire. I feel that it is essential in method acting and, as a theatre performer who understands that anything can happen on stage in front of a live audience, it is a tool of survival. Improv can also unlock our ability to be natural and, in turn, more believable.

Last but not least, an actor who has mastered the art of improv will be more confident and less nervous on stage.

About Tina

A recent transplant from Los Angeles, California; I have been singing professionally for more than forty years as well as having leading roles in local theatre productions. I have also been assistant director, musical director, choreographer, costumer and writer for many productions from West Side
