Finding your real voice, free vocalizing, harmony, blending, improve usable range, the mixed voice. The first steps to mastering vocal freedom are the building blocks for vocal success. Whether the student is a child or an adult, with little or no training, it is my goal to make singing an enjoyable and freeing experience. Singing with complete vocal freedom and confidence can seem very elusive. Surprisingly, it's not as elusive as one might think! The steps to vocal freedom are within reach and most students experience a measure of freedom within the first lessons. Using a systematic method incorporating learning technique and songs the student loves to sing makes learning more fun and gives the student a greater appreciation of music as a whole while encouraging a passion for music that lasts a lifetime.
About Cosima
My main subject is voice but I also teach acoustic guitar, ukulele and songwriting for the student who desires to develop their own style and create their own songs. Not only is it fun but the music education that comes with it is highly valuable for future musicians. (guitar and ukulele rentals a

"I can't sing." That's something I hear from a lot of people when they find out that I'm a singer. My response: EVERYONE can sing. That's why I teach singing with three easy basic concepts: Breathe, Imagine, and Trust. Breath is the foundation of singing on which all other elements of healthy technique are based (vowel, enunciation, phrasing, etc.). Imagine is all about learning what's possible with your instrument, and Trust is what allows your body to make your Imagination a Reality. Whether you want to sing in your living room or in front of thousands of people, I'll work with you to make sure you have the technique and the confidence to do so.

Over the past 12 years, we've given over 3,000,000 lessons to happy customers around the world.

After overcoming my fear of singing in front of a crowd, I decided to join the worship team at my youth group. With this decision I also got the privilege of taking vocal lessons with Cosima. She immediately makes the environment comfortable and reassures the student that no one is perfect and mistakes happen to the best of us.
I cannot count how many times I have compared myself to other singers, and Cosima is always there to remind me that the voice I have is more than enough.
Cosima also establishes a friendship with each of her students. She came to my first big performance at my high school talent show, which was something that I will never forget because it showed me how much she cares.
Her instruction is easy to understand and always beneficial to the student. Yes, I even tackled those high notes that I would normally not even attempt.
I recommend Cosima to anyone who is not only looking for a vocal teacher, but for someone also looking for someone who wants to see you succeed and will be there for you every step of the way. I cannot thank Cosima enough because she has helped me become the more improved tenor I am today."

Yesterday, April 30th, would have been the 96th birthday of the late Robert Shaw, famed conductor and founder of his namesake Chorale and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, most notably. Shaw won 14 Grammy awards and 4 ASCAP awards throughout his career, and is best known for helping turn choral conducting into a true art and setting forth the standards of excellence that are still in place today. While many conductors see vocal warm-up exercises as just that - warm-ups - Shaw saw it as precio …
