I have been playing guitar since I was 14, and have been performing and teaching for over 20 years.
I studied jazz guitar, composition, and theory at the Mannes Conservatory in NYC, NY., and also with several private teachers.
I teach many styles, including rock, pop, blues, folk, and jazz.
(I do NOT play classical or flamenco.)
I tailor my lessons to meet the interests and learning styles of my students. I teach playing by ear, music reading, tablature, and theory. I enjoy teaching students of all ages - children, teens, and adults.
I make lessons fun for young children, by including some musical games and activities. With teens and adults, I have the students choose the songs and styles they wish to work on, and go from there.
About Linda
I have been teaching music (guitar, bass guitar, keyboard, banjo, mandolin, ukulele, recorder, music theory, and classes for toddlers, preschoolers, school-aged children, and adults) for over 20 years. I am also a band/show director at the School of Rock! In addition to teaching music, I also tut

I've been a writing, recording, performing and touring artist for 21 years now. I play in a national band and also do singer/songwriter solo work.
All of it came from learning how to play the guitar. I firmly believe that anybody can learn this, if they want to put in the work and effort. I guess the saying is: ''you don't work music, you play it, but it takes work to learn to play it''. Anyways, I've gathered a lot of experience over the years and still learning everyday. I really enjoy the teaching aspect of music and to make those musical connections with people. I think Keith Richards said it best when asked about the best part of being a musician,: ''you pass it on''. I will stand by that. Looking forward to meeting you!
About Lars
My name is Lars and I am looking forward to teaching you guitar. I've been teaching guitar for 7 years. I believe that anybody can learn to play well, if they work hard, stick with it and have a passion for it. Because I did. It took a lot of work for me and did not come easy. It's never easy, nor

Over the past 12 years, we've given over 3,000,000 lessons to happy customers around the world.

I started taking guitar lessons from Glenn almost a year ago. It turned into much more than that. I was wanting to expand my abilities and "play list" in preparation for performing in my daughter's wedding ceremony which was June 29, 2013. After my time with Glenn I became a better guitar player, a better singer, and he encouraged me and helped me write a beautiful song for my daughter - someting I never thought I would do - so I am now a composer. Playing a song I wrote in my daughter's wedding was a life event for me and something myself and my family will cherish forever. It has been an awesome experience and I can never thank Glenn enough!!!"

I have been extremely pleased with my lessons and my progress thus far. Our lessons are a nice mix of learning songs and techniques and always emphasizing what I want to be learning. Considering I'm 39 and years out of school, this is important for me.
David has also been a remarkable teacher for my 8 year old son. Both my wife and I are very happy with the instruction we have received. Yes, David is slightly more expensive than some others here, but you get what you pay for! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him for anyone looking for lessons."
