Mark is a fantastic teacher. He is very patient and positive at all times. My teenage daughter and I both take lessons and he is very comfortable with our different learning styles and speeds. I particularly appreciate his focus on teaching from real songs. His attention to detail is great and I am always impressed that he is teaching us to listen and decode the chords, the strums and subtle little moments in the music. I highly recommend Mark - even for 50-something beginners like myself.

My approach to learning piano is simple, to demystify what goes on at the keyboard, as soon as possible. I want to break down the barriers for playing so that they are minimized or made nonexistent. I listen to the concerns of the student and offer advice on what needs work. We will create achievable goals together and play what we want to play, together. My specialties are pop music, jazz piano, and improvisation. Feel free to contact me with availability questions or to see if you/your student would be a good fit.

First lesson online with Steven. My 13 yo son was positive about his experience. They took the time to talk trombone & listen to Other artists trombone music. This approach was a natural and appropriate hook em’ for my son. Looking forward to the hands on playing and making music together in subsequent lessons.

I have known Tetsuya for many years now having gone to high school with him. It was incredibly inspiring to watch him not only perform, but also teach my brother trumpet as well. He was an incredibly patient and kind teacher and helped my brother improve not only on his technical skills and passion for music, but also his confidence in his abilities to play the instrument. He is a kind-hearted, compassionate and patient person and this translates into his music and his teaching.
Tomo
Tetsuya is not only a talented musician, as many people already know, but he is also an incredibly kind and patient teacher. He taught my son not only about technique and musicianship but also the love and fun that can be had through music. He knew the level that my son was at and guided him through his learning and this allowed my son to continuously improve. My son was incredibly luckily to have Tetsuya as his first teacher.
Jonas
Tetsuya was my teacher during 2014-2015 after I had not played the trumpet for a year. I was able to relearn basics and improve my breathing techniques significantly with his help. He is a patient teacher and uses a variety of different skills to maximise the lesson!

"I have been singing for 20 years and I have to say that she is the best singing teacher to this date. She is knowledgable and really knows her craft. She tell you what to look, hear and feel for when practicing and her videos help a lot. I have had 5 singing coaches in my life time but this one I'm actually learning from. She wants you to grow in the craft and her patience is unbelievable. Singing teachers need to learn from her to see how it should be done!"

"I have learned so much from Michelle! I never had any vocal training growing up and really only recently, as an adult, took up singing. Singing in front of people is one of my top three fears of all time and Michelle's positive teaching style is making it less of a fear with each lesson. She is understanding and firm with her instructions and always is looking for different ways of illustrating a concept.

I appreciate her flexibility with lesson times. I have changed my lesson schedule more times that i can count and Michelle is always accommodating. While i am new to the singing world, I had several singing instructors before finding Michelle and my growth under her instruction exceeds all the others combined.

If you are looking for a new instructor i highly recommend trying Michelle!"
