That along with a study of the fundamentals of trombone technique will get us started. Then we'll add the kind of songs that you like to play, and other great trombone literature.

My mission is to provide a positive musical experience for all students. For some this includes rigorous preparation for an audition of some kind, for others it may be an introduction to music fundamentals to foster better listening skills and greater artistic appreciation. All students will be challenged to improve their listening, timing, and technique. All students will learn to play songs that they love.
Students get a minimum of one lesson per week. I am not able to schedule lessons every other week.
Recommendations for best results: 1. Make a three-month commitment to weekly lessons. 2. Practice at least three times a week, for a minimum of 15 minutes each time. This formula virtually guarantees results. Bring your instrument, music books, and a binder with sheet protectors ☺
*Scheduling policies: No Cancellations. If the student is unable to attend a lesson as scheduled I will use the time to email a video lesson to the student. Other alternatives: online lesson, reschedule, add time to next lesson (based on availability). Students may put lessons on hold up to once per quarter with at least one week notice.
To continue weekly lessons, students must maintain at least 90% attendance or the time slot may be forfeited.
Jordan was born and raised in the El Centro, California where he began playing the alto sax in the elementary band program. At the age of 12, he began his study of guitar and drums, performing in several rock and ska bands around his home town and San Diego. At age 14, is where he found his love for brass instruments when he took up the trombone. While in high school he became a soloist with the Imperial Valley College Jazz Orchestra, under the direction of former Basie trumpeter Jimmy Cannon. That lead Jordan to accept the Constance Weldon Music Scholarship to attend the University of Miami in Coral Gables, FL.
While performing in South Florida Jordan appeared with major acts including 10,000 Maniacs, and appeared on the Spanish television show "Calle Ocho." He also gained invaluable experience teaching in Miami public schools. His first teaching assignment was at Hialeah-Miami Lakes Senior High School where he directed 3 beginning bands, Concert Band, Wind Ensemble, and their highly decorated Jazz Band. Later Jordan moved into the elementary setting, teaching vocal and instrumental music for grades K-5 at Cypress Elementary.
In 2007, Jordan returned to California to pursue a music career in San Diego. He can be seen performing all over San Diego, Orange, and LA Counties in styles ranging from rock, jazz, funk, blues, hip-hop, Latin, and more. He performs primarily on trombone, piano, and guitar, but is known to pick up percussion, harmonica, and other wind instruments as well. In 2011, Tori Roze & The Hot Mess were nominated for a San Diego Music Award in the category of "Best Blues Artist" after the release of their first album "From The Hip." They released their second album "Turbulence" last December, and are heard regularly on local San Diego radio. This album has also been nominated for Best Pop album for the 2013 San Diego Music Awards. In 2013, Jordan completed his Master of Music degree in Jazz Studies from San Diego State University.
On stage, Jordan is a talented and versatile performer. He is known for his trombone sound and improvisational ability, as well as his positive relationship with his fellow musicians. In lessons, Jordan is energetic and creative.

I have been teaching private lessons for close to 10 years and have been an active performer for even longer, playing in all different types of groups, from rock bands and jazz groups to orchestras and brass bands. I studied music at Frostburg State University (Bachelors) and the Peabody Conservatory (Masters). I can teach just about any age and skill level and cover anything you are interested in learning; whether its a certain style, genre, technique or song.

My name is Ethan. I'm a trombone player and teacher in the Madison WI area. I received a Bachelors degree in Music Education from Missouri State University and a Master of Music Performance - Trombone at University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Zachary Al-Radiedeh is an avid performer and educator currently residing in the Greater Atlanta area. His eclectic career in music began when he chose the euphonium in fifth grade, mistakenly thinking it was a French horn. Since then, Zachary has become an active performer on many other instruments, including trombone, tuba, voice, and bass, and his performance idioms have ranged from classical to punk to folk fusion. His diverse career has led him to performances in a wide range of noteworthy venues, including Strathmore Music Center, the 9:30 Club, and Mile High Stadium. Zachary holds a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Towson University. He is currently pursuing a Master's of Music in Music Performance and Pedagogy at the University of Georgia, where he studies with acclaimed teacher David Zerkel. Notably, Zachary has st
udied euphonium with Matthew Shipes Seth Horner and James Hicks, and trombone with Natalie Mannix. He has performed under the baton of several esteemed conductors and composers, including Jason Fettig, Johan de Meij, and Timothy Holtan.
Outside of concert-style performance, Zachary has built a reputation as a sought-after educator and consultant in the world of marching music. As a marching member himself, he joined the Troopers Drum & Bugle Corps for two national tours in 2015 and 2016, was a member of the Cadets2 Drum & Bugle Corps in 2014, and was a featured soloist with the Towson University Marching Band in 2015. Zachary has taken these experiences in top level ensembles and applied them as an active and engaging instructor for marching ensembles in the Baltimore area and beyond, including the Towson University Marching Band, Pioneer Drum & Bugle Corps, and the Urbana High School Marching Band.
Zachary's professional affiliations include membership in Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, Tau Beta Sigma, the Maryland Music Educator's Association, and the National Association for Music Education. In 2018, Zachary was a recipient of two prestigious honors at Towson University: winner of the University Concerto Competition and Second Prize in the Peggy Gordon Friedmann Music Competition. He currently performs on Willson 2950TA euphonium, a Conn 24H trombone, and a Besson 994-2 tuba.
Zachary has been a fantastic instructor for my son who is new to the trumpet and has never taken lessons before. Zachary is a very encouraging teacher, and he communicates very well regarding scheduling. He has also kept lessons fresh and interesting for my fifth grader, sometimes bringing different instruments and teaching tools that keep my son engaged. Highly recommended!

Zac taught me how to properly perform an aria in front of a whole lot of important people that I was stressed about. He gave me some excellent pointers on how to work with a pianist. His knowledge of music and his experience in performance has certainly shaped the way I perceive my own performances ever since that lesson.
Music is a journey. As my student, you will learn more than just the fundamentals of trombone playing and music reading. My goal is to give you the musical skills and knowledge that will put you on the road to becoming a true musician able to perform with confidence in any style or situation.
I have been serving the young people of my community for the last 36+ years as an elementary school music teacher. I graduated from Cal State University Fullerton with a BA in Music Education and a K-12 teaching credential in music. I have taught a wide range of music classes including general music, choir, piano, orchestra and band. My classroom experience includes early childhood (K-5th grade), english learners and special needs students.
I enjoy working with students who have had limited musical knowledge or experience. I love bringing them to a level of proficiency where they can be confident performers on their chosen instrument. Some of my students have continued their music education through college and others have brought their love of music into their careers as adults.

ividuals. So I tailor and fit my music instruction to the unique aptitudes and needs of each child. I have been a musician for 29yrs. with Alto Sax being my Primary Instrument. Being a Woodwind player I also play Flute, Clarinet, Trumpet, Trombone, Baritone, Tuba, and Percussion. I have performed in many large/medium/small venues with many Bands and Ensembles throughout my career. I have also, been a Georgia Certified Teacher, member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity, and member of the Music Educators National Conference for 14yrs. Most recently as an educator in Clayton County I performed with other musicians at a County production of "The Wiz".
I have lead others and taught them before ever having my own classroom as a leader in High School and College. It has greatly pleased me that my students have had many accomplishments in many groups. These vary from various Honors Bands, the Atlanta Youth Symphony Orchestra, and many High Valued Scholarships. I ecourage regular practice for all my students to review and refine their musicianship overall. I am always looking for new and exciting opportunities to teach those who are interested. Currently I am working in Clayton County Schools as the Director of Bands at Forest Park Middle School. Our group has been rated Excellent and Superior over since I have taken over.

ds. Initially (and throughout) I place a high value on performance fundamentals. I start with a focus on proper posture and breathing. Once this can be executed I breakdown the nomenclature of the student's instrument, how to put it together and break it down. Next the focus becomes proper grip for mallets/sticks and embouchure placement for winds. Students then begin to develop a proper "buzz" and "coo" and "roll" for their selected instrument as they work on basic notes for some time. Eventually this playing short 3 note songs and then 5 note songs etc. Progress for mastery is constantly checked.
In my classroom transdisciplinary is innate to my teach style. I teach all skills in my class using many methods including but, not limited to the following: Clapping, singing, stomping, writing, modeling, syllables (math), one-on-one Beginning players usually start with a short Assessment of their knowledge of music. We will spend a lot of time thorughout their experience on Tone, Intonation, Technique, Range, and Style using various styles. Mr. Little is an absolute blessing for our son. He really takes the time to get to know our Braydens strengths and weaknesses which allow him to be an amazing instructor. He’s so kind and just always makes him feel special.
Experience teaching for 2 years. I work very hard to make sure the student is having fun. I have been playing professorially for a few years also. I enjoy helping students be the best versions of themselves. I will work with the students breathing and buzzing to make sure they are getting the best possible tone from their instrument.
I will be attending ISU to study music therapy I currently attend FAU and study trombone performance I have performed with the all state band 2015-2018 I have also performed with the all district band 2015-2018 I have attended solo and ensemble district and state level and only getting superiors. My sophomore year I received an award for my musicianship at my high school's award ceremony. My senior year I earned an award for my musicianship at my school's band banquet. For FAU I have performed with the commencement band I was also principal trombone in the Florida youth orchestra. I have been principle player of with wind ensemble band in my high school. I have worked with them to make sure music sounds good. teaching them rhythms and improving intonation. My passion is working smart and hard to teach kids and young adults how to be the
best versions of themselves. While being a good musician is important, it is also important to constantly improve discipline and maturity.
