I can teach all styles and levels of l playing but I feel like I am especially great at teaching beginners. In my classes at Roswell High School I teach 3 classes of 20+ beginners at once. So I am really effective. I know exactly what beginners need to gain confidence and the ability to take their guitar playing to the next level. If you are not a beginner have no fear...I have been playing 28 years and have plenty of experience in many styles to help you meet your goals whatever they may be.

Hey there! I'm a multi-instrumentalist with a strong foundation in Guitar, Bass, and Drums.

My lessons are curated behind a few things:
-the understanding of music theory (scales, chord progressions, rhythmic structure, song composition etc.)
-student's requests to learn specific songs and creating original song
-having FUN!

Because in my experience, you're not learning if you're not enjoying what you're doing.

After 6 years, of playing drums, I began my time as a guitar player. I grew as a guitar player tremendously fast because of my understanding and practice of rhythm. I began as an acoustic/folk guitarist, progressed into a blues/funk guitarist, and now play mainly jazz and neo-soul. I also am accustomed to teach many other genres. I now write, produce, and perform my own music and stream online.

When you take lessons with me you can expect that the lessons will increase your music theory knowledge, finger/hand dexterity, rhythm, ear training, performance ...

About Kevin

I am a Multi-Instrumentalist who teaches Guitar, Drums, Bass, Music Production, Audio Engineering, Cinematography, Photography, and Video Editing. My instrumental experience includes 13 years of live performance, recording and songwriting. I focus my lessons around the understanding of music the

We are three lessons in so far with Kevin. He is working with my 15 year old on his electric guitar skills. So far, he has evaluated my son's skills, worked on bar chords, a couple of songs, and they changed the strings on the guitar. My son is enjoying the lessons and is very responsive to Kevin's teaching style. We are early in the lessons, but I am pleased with the overall progress.

"After years of working on my scales and feeling like I still didn't know my way around the guitar, Tom was able to explain how to play scales vertically in both major and minor keys in just one lesson. No one before him had been able to explain it in such a way for it to finally click for me. Since then, I feel like my shredding skills have improved 10 fold and I have fallen even more in love with playing and jamming along to my favorite songs. Tom is patient, kind, calm, and an incredibly skilled guitarist that anyone would be lucky to learn from!"

The answer actually depends upon a few basic criteria: 1. What is your budget for a guitar? 2. What is your commitment level to learning to play? 3. Do yo …
