Gesture, Expression and Experiment are my tools. I combination with an education in materials and the willingness to keep playing we end up confidently creating image. It is impossible to get anything done in an hour so try to find a way to book a longer time. Materials are somewhat included as I always have things but do contribute with art supplies, paper, found things. It's not necessary to spend a lot of money at the art supply store, just keep your eyes open at garage sales, etc and your store of materials will accumulate.

For six grade levels, I had handwriting as an official school subject. I was expected to print Roman letters correctly, write cursive script at the correct angle and form, and incorporate my own unique style into proper penmanship. I also learned how to hold the writing implement the correct way so as not to strain the hand or fingers and maintain a steady flow of writing. I later took calligraphy as an art course during one year of high school. I have helped elementary school and middle school students practice and improve their handwriting, manuscript and cursive, and I can assist adults as well.

"Margot is a great instructor and a born teacher. She immediately connects with each student. She asks everyone’s name and then remembers it, which is quite impressive with a large group.
She can teach to all levels of ‘artistic’ ability. She offers assistance and guidance so the finished product truly belongs to the student.
I have been to two of Margot’s classes. I have zero artistic ability, yet I left with a card (Valentine and Mother’s Day), that I was proud to share."
