I have been working as a professional film composer since 2011, working on everything from 15-second commercials to feature-length pieces, ranging from rock to solo piano to full orchestral compositions. In our discussions, we will cover instrumentation, composing for video without pre-existing music, working with temp. tracks, co-creating with vision from the director, recording & syncing up your score to the multimedia at hand. The end goal is to sufficiently serve what's on the screen & support that through music, rather than detracting from the overall feel of the piece. This will be a quintessential cornerstone of our lessons. There are many ways to approach film scoring, being a very personally-invested medium, & my duty is to open as many doors & pathways to finding your unique voice as an aspiring film composer.

As a theatre actor, I've been in countless shows. Traveling for work to not only multiple countries but continents, I can say that one of the most important tools in my arsenal is the ability to keep my voice strong and clear.
As a voice teacher, I teach both speaking and singing voice. For singing voice please check out my other classes.
Learn to project safely without losing your voice. This is particularly important during longer rehearsal periods and runs of a show. If you aren't there yet, start building up your technique now! I also can work with you on diction and American pronunciation, this may particularly helpful for those with an accent or who tend to under-pronounce their words. We will go over the actual way we make different sounds using our lips, teeth, and tongue as well as exercises to improve diction.

Sacha is extremely devoted as a teacher and have a lot of patience.
I highly recommend her
She did a very detailed warm up preparing me for the choreography and made sure that my posture was correct but gave me the freedom to explore my own movement , we also did some improvisation to prepare me for my future auditions as it an essential part of the auditions process.
I cannot wait to train under her guidance again.

I have over 15 years of experience teaching young people, which started at The Shakespeare Theatre Company in Washington, DC. Children have a natural sense of play that every good actor should use in their technique. My approach is to focus that sense of play into performance. Lessons will build on each student's experience level, abilities, and personal goals.
