Lessons with me are like playing a video game that trains you to be good at music. Every exercise we do will generate a score, and you can practice between lessons in order to “beat your high score” during the next one. I've had tons of young students achieve college level proficiency across multiple domains, and can promise you that you will see a huge increase in your technique, music theory, and fretboard knowledge in a very short period of time using my simple and fun program.

Beyond that, one of my favorite things to do with my students is to teach them the concepts and techniques at the core of their favorite music and use that knowledge to help them write their own original songs.

Ask me anything!

I started taking guitar lessons from Morgan June of 2021. When I started I had a basic grasp of the guitar. After 4 months of lessons with Morgan my playing became exponentially better. He was able to explain how everything works together in a fun and exciting way to where I always looked forward to my next lesson. I would recommend Morgan to anyone no matter what their music skill is!

Morgan has tremendously helped my guitar skills through weekly progress tracking. He is very easy to learn from and is a fun guy to jam with! Overall great instructor.

I have always wanted to learn to play the piano but just never took the time to find a teacher. I tried self study and watching videos but it just wasn’t doing the trick. I’ve been getting lessons from Morgan for a while now and it has been AWESOME! He’s super passionate about music so any questions you ask gets him even more excited to teach! I went from not knowing ANYTHING about playing piano to being able to play a song that I have always wanted to learn to play! Morgan is able to integrate learning foundational piano playing with playing your favorite songs. I would HIGHLY recommend Morgan if you want to learn to play piano!

Alex has inspired my son to love playing music for the rest of his life. I can't think of a more wonderful gift. His technique in teaching allowed my son to enjoy learning guitar by playing songs he wanted to play. This made him want to practice just for the fun of it! Alex taught my son from the time he was 9 years old until he was 15. The easy going, positive attitude Alex exudes encouraged my son along his journey and made a strong bond and connection between the two of them. I wholeheartedly encourage anyone who would like to learn to play guitar to sign up for lessons with Alex!

Steve took the time to listen to my concerns and desires and catered to my skills making the lesson both informative to my learning and exciting by showing me I COULD play a song. I think Steve has a knack for this and it will benefit me in my aspirations to play in front of other players."

"My 11 year old son has been taking guitar lessons from Grant for at least 6 months. We liked Grant's teaching style so much that we enrolled our 9 year old son for lessons as well. Grant keeps the lessons fun and interesting by choosing songs that they already enjoy to learn, while teaching fundamentals at the same time. He is patient when they may be having an "off" day, and he is extremely encouraging and positive in every single interaction. My boys think he's fun, and they've learned a lot from him."

"Recently, I joined an 18 piece jazz band as their guitarist before realizing I was in way over my head. The speed and complexity of the chord changes were bit too much for me even though I have been playing at home for some 40 years and now I'm in my 50s. Freaking out and not wanting to be a quitter, I decided to ask for the best jazz guitar instructor in Seattle so that I could learn whatever I could in two months (our first gig.) I was told that Ahmad would be a great match for me. I sent him an email and received a response the same evening with the days and times that he could fit me into his schedule. What a relief, I thought, and began to relax.

Sitting down with Ahmad, I realized how much I didn't know about music theory and the guitar fret board and decided to begin lessons twice per week. It's been just over a month now I cannot believe how much sense music theory and the guitar fret board makes to me right now. Ahmad has really laid it out a good foundation so that I can see how everything fits together like never before. Ahmad not only understands jazz guitar, but he also knows how to teach according to the way a person learns. Recently, the stress of playing with a big jazz band has gone away.

After talking with several other students of Ahmad who were waiting for their lessons to begin, I learned that he was a really great instructor for all sorts of guitar lessons. And everyone seemed very pleased. I've have been to other guitar instructors in the past and I will highly rate Ahmad for jazz guitar, a solid 5 stars."
