About Mark T
I have been playing since I was 4 years old and have been loving every minute of it. I have been fortunate to play and tour with many groups here in the US and in Europe. Over the years I have really enjoyed passing on my knowledge and love of music making to others. I would be honored if you gave me the opportunity to help your or your family achieve their musical dreams.

*** Lesson Details ***
First and foremost I am very laid back and that helps my students relax into the process of making great music. Expect your first lesson to be about getting to know each other and getting a firm idea of what your expectations are.

Everyone learns at a different pace and has changing interests. Within the framework of moving you towards your musical goals I create custom goals and lessons for my students.

What does that mean? Well, y
ou can pick out some of your own music, customize the way you practice, decide when you want to move forward with more challenging music and many other things.

I do expect my students to learn several pieces of music at a time and perform so you can share your music. That's what it is all about after all!

*** Studio Equipment ***
Music room with seating for parents.

*** Travel Equipment ***
None, all students require an instrument to practice on.

*** Specialties ***
Electric violin
Classical solo
Orchestral audition prep

We have had a very positive experience with Mark Williams. My son has been taking lessons for over a year and progressing nicely. Mark works hard to keep him interested and makes sure that he continues to enjoy learning. Exactly what we were looking for.

Fantastic Teacher!

Mark Williams's violin teaching is very experienced and professional. He helped prepare my daughter for her county orchestra audition, and she made it! My daughter enjoys the pieces assigned, and his constructive feedback has allowed her to fix bowing technique and other problems. Each lesson is focused on improving and learning new and old skills. His teaching has made my daughter a better violinist! The schedule is also flexible to fit all my daughter's activities. If you are looking for an excellent violin teacher, Mark Williams is the one!

About Wes
I studied classical guitar and composition at Asbury College and later more in depth guitar studies rock, jazz, and classical at the Atlanta Institute of Music. I have been teaching steadily for the past ten years as well as spending my time with various other musical projects such as leading worship for my church, performing for various parties and weddings, and composing and recording music for a short film. I use my experience and broad understanding of music to inform the way that I teach, so that my students have a robust experience of all aspects of music.

*** Lesson Details ***
I have a lesson plan that I follow for beginning students to get them through the basics. As a teacher I am laid back, and positive, but always try to give the student a clear reflection of how they are progressing. I find that some students thrive with
a lot of structure and others prefer a looser approach and I am quite comfortable teaching both ways. If the student maintains a consistent practice regimen, they should be able to play songs from the radio within 3 or 4 months.

*** Studio Equipment ***
Lessons in the living room with an amp, keyboard, computer, desk, parents can sit on couch in a separate room

*** Travel Equipment ***
I expect my student to provide their instrument (including amp if necessary) and any instructional materials required.

*** Specialties ***
I have had a lot of experience teaching beginning and intermediate students with method books, and have used them to teach reading, theory, technique, and repertoire. Most often, I take a slightly looser approach which I feel allows me to mold my teaching to fit the individual student's needs

We went over a lot of stuff. Im a cellist who has had bass lessons but was getting difficult for the simple reason that it wasnt methodical in any way. My goel is to transition to upright and Wes has enough musical knowledge to prepare toward that goel.

Wes's enthusiasm for the guitar is contagious. I am thrilled with my son's progress and level of continued interest. Thank you Wes!

Carey is personable and professional. My son's technique and ability improved dramatically in the first year with Carey for private instruction. She is very easy to work with, both for my son and for me. She has helped him with his music for marching band, for concert band, to get ready for auditions, etc. Could not be happier with our choice of instructor!

Jimmie arrived on-time and ready to start. He dove right into getting to know my son and started teaching him on bells and learning rhythm since that`s what my son will be expected to know for his first year of band in the fall.
He was very good at connecting with my son and easily had him enjoying the lesson.
You can tell Jimmie has a passion for teaching children and his face lit up talking about it. He heaped praise on my sons accomplishments and my son said he truly enjoyed the lesson and can`t wait for next week.
I`d highly recommend him to teach your child. I don`t think you`d find someone else with the same passion for children. So glad I made the decision to hire Jimmie and look forward to many years of him being involved in developing my son into a awesome musician.
Thank you Jimmie!

About Joseph
Joseph has been passionate about music since the age of 8 when he started playing the piano in church, and ever since music has been a prominent part of his life. Since school, he was involved with bands where he played the piano, keyboards and developed his interest in song writing, production and sound designing. He has several published newspaper articles to his accolade. All of these experiences motivated and inspired him to seek a career in music. Joseph went on to complete his training in classical piano and achieved an ATCL degree (Trinity college London) in Piano.
Presently, Joseph has over 10 years of experience in teaching music privately as well as in a classroom environment. He has taught in two private IB schools as a ‘Music Teacher’ and 'Director of Music' where he taught elementary, middle and high school. He taught music
al analysis, performance and composition components. He offered lessons in piano and music technology as an after school activity. He has attended several workshops to ensure his personal growth as an educator and is also an accredited teacher for IGCSE Music.
His lessons are tailor-made with individual student(s) in mind. His method of teaching allows students to establish their personal learning goals and objectives. He selects a repertoire for students based on their skill level. He creates a curriculum which helps them achieve their goals whether it be learning to read music, playing by ear, or simply learning to play their favorite covers. He likes to start out with a basic curriculum and adjusts it according to how quickly the student absorbs, understands and applies the information.

I am a professional pianist, violinist and keyboard player for decades and have performed and recorded in classical, jazz, rock, popular, and sacred settings. i bring this variety of performing experience to my teaching.
I have been teaching private violin and piano students for over 30 years. I also was a college instructor in Music and Audio Production for 16 years and am very familiar with current Music and Audio technology. I try to use this as much as I can in my private teaching. I am currently a substitute teacher in the Gwinnett County Schools
I have Master's and Bachelor's degree's in Music from the Indiana University School of Music(One of the country's top rated music schools. Go Hoosiers!). I also have a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bowling Green State University where I studied English, Violin Performance, and Jour
nalism I also studied violin performance at the Oberlin Conservatory.
I am currently a member of the National Association for Music Education (NAfME) and the Georgia Music Education Association (GMEA) and encourage my students to participate in these events. I also compose music and am a member of the American Composer' Forum.
In my teaching I take a student/learning centered approach in which the student learning through activity is central to the lesson. With young students I supplement standard method books with a variety of extra classical, popular, movie, and gaming themes. I have also acquired a number of fun worksheets, games, and music education software which help the students with music theory.
With adults I always try to help them with music in which they are interested. Because my Music Majors were in jazz studies I also teach improvisation, theory, and composition to students who are interested in it.
In my experience students learn best when the lessons enjoyable and fun. I expect all students to make progress on their instruments, but I always try to create a relaxed but productive atmosphere tailored to each student's particular abilities and interests
