I began teaching private music lessons in 2011 while I was studying Jazz Studies and Music Business in college where I was also trained on flute. I have worked with a wide age range of students, I have trained adults and students as young as five. I have high standards and a good attention to detail. I will teach you a strong foundation of fundamental practices that will develop proper posture and technique for both classical music and jazz. I will also teach you a strong foundation of music theory so you will be prepared to learn and/or write music of your choosing.

About Andrew

I have almost 20 years experience with saxophone. I started young and traveled as a student performing in competitions all over the country. I have done every type of music competition and studied in college where I received scholarships.

Simply put, Andrew is the best. His genuine love and passion for all-things music was obvious the first day we met him. He is great with kids. He is flexible yet reliable. We love the fact that he tailors his lessons, homework, and incentives to the needs and interests of each individual student. We are confident that we could not find a better guitar instructor for our daughter.

Paul 's positive attitude and excitement for making music is a major factor in a good instructor. His encouragement and wanting you to learn makes the lessons challenging. If you listen to his expert musical advise, practice what he teaches, you will see a vast improvement in your playing ability and understanding of music. He is patient and has a good temperament that makes learning fun. I know I have challenged him with my rhythm issues but I have progressed to a level in a short time that I am confident in playing with others and enjoy making music. Thanks Paul!

Excellent first lesson! I’m so excited to continue my lessons with Paul!
Dennis
I'll get right to the point. Paul's personality made it extremely easy for me not only to be comfortable but to feel really appreciated. I was fearful that Paul may feel like, "oh great another person who THINKS he has something but can't sing a lick!" I experienced the exact opposite. Within 15 minutes he located what has been my most frustrating issue. I felt like I was already ahead of the game and we hadn't even started yet! Paul has the rare balance of a sense of humor and still following an agenda to meet my goal. Thanks to Paul I really feel like I can, and WILL reach all my goals. AND enjoy the journey to them!! Can't wait for the next lesson!

We highly recommend Dean for Sax lessons. For the past two years, Dean has been giving weekly lessons to my 13 year old son. Dean is kind, patient, reliable and developed a great rapport with my son. He also successfully prepared my son for his LaGuardia audition (high school for performing arts). Thanks to Dean’s efforts my son was admitted to this prestigious program.

"Yuki is the best sax teacher that I could imagine lives on this planet (by the way I’m one of his students.) It’s been maybe 5-6 weeks and I know him like my neighbor! Every time I see him I get better and better! Besides that he’s one of the nicest people I have ever met. I’m positive all of his other students are 100% satisfied with his lessons and will stay with him until they are better than he is. In the end he is a very positive sax teacher and his main priority is to satisfy your child with their skills and performance. I know that I’m satisfied and hopefully you will be too!"

"An Awesome Teacher

Yuki is a wonderful teacher. This is the first time I have ever had a private lesson and I am so glad and grateful that I found him. He is also a very professional and skillful saxophone teacher. Especially if you are trying out for Jazz Band, Region Band, etc., Yuki will give you a great deal of help, from his experiences to his skill. He knows all kinds of ways to break something apart and show you the most easy and clear way to understand it. From a parent and a student, I highly recommend Yuki as your saxophone teacher for anyone who's interested in saxophone and wants to get better at it!"
