I believe that everyone has the ability to discover the full potential of their voice. We will focus on exercises that will prioritize and preserve the health of your voice through core training, breath exercises and vowel placement.Let’s build you a healthy instrument so you can enjoy singing as much as I do!

As someone who is comfortable with a variety of musical genres, and techniques, the first thing I want to do with any student is to identify their goals, desires, and ability, and then tailor fit a technique to best compliment those assets. After singing opera professionally for over 11 years, I truly feel that a fundamental approach to singing through "24 Italian Songs and Arias", American/English Art Song, Golden-Age Musical Theater, and Vaccai exercises are the perfect training grounds for the establishment of a healthy, and sustainable vocal technique. For intermediate, and advanced students I aim to incorporate French, and German Art Song, in addition to arias/songs from composers such as Mozart, Handel, Donizetti, Rossini, Bellini, Bernstein, Sondheim, and Gershwin to expand upon various techniques. Unlike some teachers, though, I feel that there is no single-way to teach singing, and I positively love to experiment with a wide variety of vocal, and breathing exercises to ...

Singing is one of the most joyful activities you can do! Anyone can learn to sing.
I love teaching others to sing and perform, and I've been doing so for over 20 years - through private lessons, music theater workshops, music schools and choruses. I work with students where they are at and help them to build a solid technique that works for them.

I approach my teaching by finding every singer's true and honest voice, and then exploring ways to make that voice as free and beautiful as possible. In the course of our lessons I will utilize techniques to explore breath control, resonance, range and freedom of not only the voice, but the body's ability to express while performing.
Every person that is capable of speech is capable of singing beautifully, and I fully embrace that mantra as a teacher. With that approach, I teach a wide variety of styles, ranging from Music Theater to classically informed Operatic Singing. Let's make some music!

It is always exciting when a vocal student is ready to start studying his or her first operatic aria! One of the best things about being a classical singer is knowing you have so many great years ahead of you. After all, you’re considered in your prime in your 40s. That being said, realize that the voice you have now and the repertoire you’ll first study will be very, very different from what you sing later on in your career. It’s absolutely crucial that you sing repertoire that is …
