I teach acoustic and electronic drums for all levels

About Ryan
Hey There! My name is Ryan B. I play and teach guitar, bass and drums, and piano and would love to teach you or help you improve your abilities! I have been playing all four instruments for 25 years, and I have a personal, laid-back style that helps connect with each student.

I have been with TakeLessons for over four years now, and am truly blessed to have worked with so many great students.I will teach you what YOU want to play, regardless of style or genre you like in music. I design my lessons around YOU, and what YOU want to learn!

Let's talk guitar! Guitar is the ultimate inst
rument to learn! It is versatile and portable and you can learn quickly, regardless of your favorite style. I teach acoustic and electric guitar. I cover basics, such as chords, scales and solo work. I cover a wide range of artists such as: The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran. Regardless of your favorite band or style, I can help you accomplish your goals!

Piano is one of the most important instruments to learn, especially for children. The benefits are endless. For piano, I teach beginner through intermediate students. Piano is a popular choice because it has a very friendly layout with the keyboard. I use a proven 6 level method to take you from Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star to Ode to Joy! I cover how to read sheet music and cover a wide variety of musical styles!

Do you like the deep, powerful sound of the bass guitar? Well, I cover that too! The bass is a FUN instrument that is very friendly to learn. If you ever want to join a band, the bass is essential instrument, because it goes well with the drums. I cover a wide range of styles from blues, funk, rock and jazz! Go for it!

As a kid did you set up pots and pans or pillows and hit them with spoons like I did? Well, then the drums may be for you! You can learn drums with a pair of sticks! Drums are a total BLAST to play, and if you are not one who wishes to read sheet music, then the drums are perfect for you! I cover a TON of different styles, and if you have a favorite drummer, you can learn to play like him or her relatively quickly!

Need academic help? Well I can help with that too! I tutor in most subjects, including: Math, Science, Reading, Writing Skills and ACT and SAT prep

Here is a breakdown of specific areas of subjects I teach and tutor with:

Math: Pre-Algebra, Algebra I and II, Geometry
Science: Biology, Chemistry and Physics
Reading: Comprehension, Analysis, Annotation and general reading improvement methods

We will approach developing skills on the drums in two categories, sticking techniques and grooves. Each lessons we will go over sticking patterns and learn a groove that corresponds with the sticking. Grooves will cover various genres like Rock, R&B/Neo Soul, Gospel, Jazz, Latin - Jazz.

About Quamon
I've been playing saxophone for over 20 years and hold a degree in music performance. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of traveling and performing as a professional along with being recognized for various awards for my improvisational and compositional skills. I've released 5 CD's of my own which showcase a lot of my original music. One of my targets in helping students is to help bring out what they already have inside their soul. I had great teachers that helped me to better express what I was hearing and imagining inside, and I want to pour into my students out of the abundance
of what I've received from my teachers in addition to my own personal experience in the area of music.

*** Lesson Details ***
I like to start out by breaking down how I look at music from the stand point of it having two sides, a technical side & a conceptual side.

The technical side deals with all of the mechanical things needed for one to have together to get around on the instrument first like, sound production, tone quality, scales, arpeggios, etc.

The Concept side deals with what music the student came up listening to from the stand point of what genre, what artists, what songs, etc. Then, I'll need to know what are the goals that are desired to be accomplished based on what the student projects conceptually by way of the artists that they like.

Then in future lessons we can break down the details on how to actually get to the desire goal of the student.

I've been teaching beginner/intermediate skill levels for drums for the past few years now and enjoy every moment of it. Within the first few lessons you will be playing your first drum beat. I specialize in fundamentals, playing by ear and progressing students into an advance state.

About Chad
Hello everyone my name is Chad, I've been playing drums for 27 years, I'm self taught and can play by ear. Starting out is frustrating and personally, I wish I would have had someone to teach me in the beginning. I've only been teaching for a few years now, but it has been a great experience and I want to continue to grow as a teacher. I'm happy to teach at my studio In Haltom City or at your location provided its within 25 miles of Haltom City or Benbrook where I reside. I've had the pleasure to play in various rock, classic rock and blues bands in multiple venues over the years. I specialize
in teaching beginner/intermediate skill levels and look forward to hearing from you soon.
