Bachelor of Science, Physics from Boston College
Teaches High School, College
Physics lessons with me are unique because I have an extensive background in physics, which allows me to explain concepts in both abstract and concrete ways to match the needs of the student. In the year since I graduated from Boston College with a degree in physics and moved to Florida, I have tutored 2 students in college level physics and 1 high school AP physics student. Teaching physics is a challenge because the content is not concrete or straightforward. The questions are vague, abstract, and often puzzles for the student to solve. Therefore tutoring physics is not about showing the students equations or step by step processes because even for 2 problems of the same type, the steps will not be the same; rather, is about teaching the students how to think abstractly in order to accomplish these tasks themselves, rather than dissect each question for them. My lessons may involve some silence, head scratching, and erasing at times when I am pushing the students to think for ...
"It's not about learning, it's about understanding." Hi! My name is Emily and I am 23 years old. I am originally from Massachusetts, where I earned my degree in physics at Boston College before moving to central Florida in August 2017. I took off with just what I could fit in my car and drove from

BA in Actuarial science from Baruch College
My name is Mena. I have a strong background in math with a degree in Actuarial science and have been tutoring the SAT, ACT, Algebra 1&2, and Geometry for over four years. I have extensive knowledge of the testing strategies needed to make the exam fun and easy. I work with students to find areas that need strengthening then work patiently with them to hone their skills. Successful test preparation is largely about demystifying the test through time spent learning the correct approach which I have years of experience doing, with that confidence students can achieve any score they set their minds to.
There is a SPECIAL PRICE if you buy the whole course including all study materials.

I am Russian speaking native with a Moscow pronunciation which is considered as a standard, model pronunciation in Russia. During my extensive music education in Moscow and Leningrad I got the degrees of a Musicologist and Music Editor and Lecturer side by side with my Piano degree which shows that my skills in Russian language were professionally trained. I had a long time experience when helping people of different countries in Europe how to learn and improve their Russian. I continue helping American people in this. I hope you will enjoy a lot of wit and creativity when learning Russian with me.
I hold a Master's degree in Piano Pedagogy and Music Theory and History. I established my own teaching method that is based on European classical teaching tradition. I am familiar with most of the American piano teaching methods and use their achievements in my teaching widely. Personally, I am
I cannot recommend Anna enough. Her dedication and patience is unparalleled and she cares so deeply for her students. She is methodical, attentive, thoughtful, and is an absolute hidden gem of a teacher. Anna opened a world of music to me and I don’t think I can ever truly express how much that means to me. Not only am I a better musician because of her, but I’m also a better person. Her attention to detail and passion have challenged the way that I approach work and hobbies beyond just music.
Anna is particularly skilled as an educator. Beyond simply giving information for students to practice or memorize, she helps them apply the concepts to real musical pieces, guiding them along the way. Her calm but advanced method of teaching helps students advance quickly through musical concepts.
Over the past eleven years, I have spent literally hundreds of hours with Anna honing my craft. If anyone has seen the extent of her talent as a teacher, I’d like to think it’s me.
Five stars out of five stars. Always.

With thirteen years experience teaching/tutoring math to students in grades 6-12, my greatest strength is recognizing the continuity and connections of mathematics through the grade levels. This experience allows me to capitalize on the particular math strengths of my students in order to maximize potential as well as uncover the root causes of math confusion, repair and rebuild foundational skills, and challenge students with higher-level thinking questions which promotes further investigation and sparks new curiosities.
Give me a chance to put my thirteen years of math teaching/tutoring experience to some good use. I guarantee that after just a couple of minutes of our lesson, your self-confidence in math will be increased and you will want to continue learning at a pace that maximizes your potential. I specialize

I've observed her in the Writing Center on a number of occasions, and she always does a great job navigating the difficult balance between helping students directly, and creating a path for them to work through questions on their own. She is direct, but supportive. She also is very perceptive of students' anxiety levels - many are kids who tend to stress about college and grades often - and how to change her tone, or comment with a personal anecdote, when what the student needs most is a moment to laugh or calm down.
Andrea's best skill in my opinion is teaching her tutees to adjust their priorities based on a deadline. She consults students whose papers are due in a couple of hours, and others who have a whole week left, and without being preachy gets across realistic expectations of what can be done within the timeframe."
