Experienced Piano teacher since 2012: I am available to teach eager students of all experience levels and ages! I structure my lessons so students learn what they want to learn, while also building a strong foundation in their piano skills. I specialize in classical, gentle, and theatrical music. I typically use the Faber Piano Adventures series for beginning and some intermediate students, however I will choose a curriculum that fits the student. I supplement the series with works by classical composers or music theme songs from TV shows, Disney movies, or Broadway shows. I also have the following tools available to use during lessons: pianos, sheet music, and more.

Gabriel has been teaching my son Riser (age 7 now) for over 2 years now. We feel so blessed! My son progressed so quickly. Gabriel is patient, engaging and has a gift for helping kids grow their piano skills week by week. I love that he's also created "recitals" for his students to play for people! We recently switched from in home lessons to doing them through FaceTime, and it's almost like having Gabe in our home with us.

Sean used to teach me keyboard and music theory and I’ve become not only a better musician, but a more well versed musician because of him. He has a very unique perspective and manages to bridge and connect concepts in such a way that really shows how all aspects of music are interconnected in ways you might not expect. Not only this, he showed me how these things connect from a musicians perspective, but also from a listeners perspective as well. Things like how parts work together and how changes in voice leading can drastically improve or diminish a performance. Super intricate stuff that I was able to understand in minutes thanks to his teaching style and personality. Great guy, even greater teacher. Would be the first recommendation I give to anyone I know.
Jessica
I had the privilege of learning from Sean as a student in his choir. As a conductor, Sean is clear and concise in his expectations of students, and is very effective in communicating not only constructive feedback, but specific strategies to address that feedback. As a student, I appreciated how for any issue, Sean had multiple techniques ready to go. If one technique or suggestion was not connecting, he was always able to shift and have other pedagogical recommendations to tackle the problem. Sean’s strength as an educator lies in his ability to balance vocal technique and production with an emphasis on the artistry of singing and performance. I would highly recommend Sean Butler as a teacher for any person looking to grow as a vocalist.
Lauren
Sean’s musicianship is astounding, and that directly correlates to his teaching; though he can hear a wrong note instantly, his feedback is always supportive, allowing you to work and grow in a welcoming (yet (reasonably) challenging) forum. His range extends well beyond the stereotypical confines of classical music, making him an ideal teacher for anyone, of any age, interested in any style. Additionally, his accepting nature is ideal for those seeking a no-judgment learning space. Was truly impressed by my time with Sean, and would recommend him tenfold!

"My daughters and I took lessons from Daniela between 1998 and 2009, 11 years. Daniela taught my youngest daughter through high school, preparing her with excellent skills, technique, and theory to enter into music conservatory. Daniela is gifted, energetic, and passionate in bringing out the best in each student to the best of his/her ability. Her professionalism, passion and high standards are reflected in each lesson and recital as well as in her choice of repertoire. I can say with the utmost confidence that a better teacher would be very difficult to find."

"Sarah was an excellent teacher for my daughter. After years of piano, my daughter was losing interest and avoided practicing for lessons because of the stress of high school academics and social interests. She was on the verge of quitting after investing a lot of years, but Sarah brought the passion for piano back into my daughter's life. She made lessons stress-free and enjoyable. She offered feedback without criticism, challenged when appropriate, and showed that persevering with piano could be fun. She has a great command of a wide variety of music, and was willing to work outside the box of just classical music, while also offering classical choices that could capture my daughter's interest. Sarah is just a lovely individual -- smart, funny, flexible, approachable, and incredibly gifted as a pianist and teacher. We were lucky to have her."

"From the moment I had my phone interview with Paul, I knew he was the right instructor for my son. We met for a trial lesson and sure enough he was exactly what we were looking for. My 12 yr. old has just excelerated in his music reading skills that I could not teach him on my own having started him on the keyboard myself since he was seven but was not successful. Paul is not afraid to stretch him and communicate to him in a way that he pleasantly receives along with weaving music history teaching continuously throughout the lesson. Right out of the gate his technique was addressed and the foundation was set up front and my son has an obvious, beautiful, step above, touch. Very grateful!"

"My son and daughter have been taking piano, songwriting and voice lessons with Fawn for several years. Fawn is an accomplished musician who gives lessons out of her warm, welcoming and fun lit recording studio. Fawn has a kind and casual approach to teaching, however it is also strict. Fawn expects immediate results, which is great because it pushes students to be their best. Fawn is patient and enthusiastic and has allowed my son to develop a beautiful talent on the piano that I believe wouldn't have happened in a more traditional, strict setting. It has really worked for him. When Fawn does a Talent Share (her version of a recital), it is always inspiring and beautiful to see. Fawn has a special talent of meeting each student where they are and lovingly encouraging them to embrace whatever music inspires them. It is awesome."

"Fawn + children = magic. As an adult, I'was inspired so much by my kids playing piano with Fawn that I decided to take lessons with her as well. She is great teaching all ages and I have grown and moved quickly. But I've got to say, the kids faces light up when she enters the room and it's literally like magic. Thanks Fawn!"
