Russell took the time to observe and gauge my baseline to fit the lesson to my individual skill and need. He was informative, balanced, and is a great drummer himself. He articulates well so it is clear what the aim is.

I look forward to the lessons every week. Russ takes the time an ensures that the information provided is understood as well as performed correctly. Homework is always a blast. How many times can anybody say that? I would recommend Russ to any level of performer, if just to sharpen exisiting skills or start from the very beginning, Russ has the ability to get you to the level "you" want to be at with your drum playing. Russ will also introduce books that can be practiced out of when that homework is assigned. Great instructor and as become a good friend. If you want to learn the drums....call Russ!
Frank W.
Russell is the man! Patient, attentive, precise and an outstanding professional with a passion to teach you proper technique and to help you reach your drumming goals! He is an Awesome teacher and musician!

I have been teaching music for over 6 years. I started my music education at 5 years old on the piano and used that knowledge to learn other instruments, including guitar, ukulele, cello, and violin. In high school, I won awards in piano and music excellence, was President of my school’s orchestra, and Vice President of the Music Honor Society. While I teach all ages, I have a special interest in teaching children 6 and under to help ensure a love of music, culture, and education in them while boosting all domains of development. I use my experience as a preschool teacher to help my students learn and thrive. I currently attend St. Petersburg College and I'm obtaining a Bachelors Degree in Educational Studies and Community Leadership.

This is the first lesson I got to listen to of my son working with Nathan. Usually I'm not home from work. I am really impressed with how much he was able to help my son improve so quickly. I wish we had started this much sooner.

My area expertise falls under singing opera (English, French, Italian, and German) classical music, musical theatre, gospel music, and pop music. Not only will you develop as a vocalist, I also build a foundational understanding of diction, music history, aural skills, and music theory! I work on building sight-reading, ear-training, and deeper understanding of choral music. Another focus of mine is Linguistics. This includes the history of and background of a foreign language. This is for my opera students :)

"Isaac is an excellent teacher and is highly recommended. His method is not centered on drills, music reading or repetition, but rather on getting an understanding of how the notes, chords work together. In so doing, the student gets a great understanding of theory and it opens the door to improvisation. In addition he's very patient with folks such as myself who don't come to class with a deep understanding of music theory."

"Working with Taylor has been one of the best investments I have made for my personal development in the musical world. She has helped compose music for a play, has helped keep me calm when I feel like I am overwhelmed or overthinking my objectives and keeps me leveled. We have also worked on analyzing scores from classical to modern. I highly recommend her if not just for her knowledge/skills, but her great sense of humor as well (makes the lessons even more enjoyable). Thanks Taylor, you’re the best."
