I have been a professional songwriter for over 10 years and have major credits and clients in film, TV and radio under my belt. I would love to help you craft your songs from start to finish, including basics such as choosing a style, tempo, instrumentation and more to other aspects of songwriting including lyric writing, rhyme schemes and additional elements of songwriting. I can't wait to work with you on your next song!

About Jessica
Hello! Thanks for checking out my profile. Please feel free to ask me any questions. -Jessica

***About Jessica***
Jessica is known worldwide for her music which incorporates her original comedy, artwork and videos. She spent a decade touring the US and the UK and has performed in many festivals including the Reading & Leeds Festival, Latitude Festival, Montreal Comedy Festival, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Dublin Comedy Festival, End of the Road Festival, NY Funny Songs Festival, NY International Children’s Film Festival and more.

Jessica’s music and comedy is inspired by being the oldest of 6 girls and growing up in a small town in Maine, where she taught Sunday school and counseled teens and twins in a local after school program for four years. When Jessica was 19, she moved to Philadelphia to study animation after receiving a par
tial scholarship to the Art Institute of Philadelphia, and relocated to NYC shortly after graduating.

Her unique music, performances, art and internet videos have won many awards and critical acclaim.

She has performed her music and written segments and songs for television (including ABC’s “Good Morning America”, MTV’s “I Bet You Will”, Fox News “Red Eye with Greg Gutfeld”, IFC's "Comedy Music Hall of Fame", HGTV's Flea Market Flip, TBS’s “Saving Grace” website and “The Tyra Banks Show”), radio (including "The Dr. Demento Show", "The Jackie Martling Show", WFMU's "Spreading Yourself Thin with Jessica D" and “The Opie and Anthony Radio Show” on SiriusXM, BBC’s “Loose Ends Radio Programme” and BBC’s “The Simone Show” in the UK), feature films (including “What Would Jesus Buy?” directed by Morgan Spurlock), commercially for major clients and also on stages across the US and the UK (including London’s prestigious Soho Theatre, NYC’s Irving Plaza, Joe’s Pub and The Bowery Ballroom as John Waters’ opening act, and LA’s Troubadour).

*** Lesson Details ***
Jessica brings a lot of fun to her lessons. She is like a cool aunt or a big sister who likes to have a good time but who also wants to teach you to play guitar or ukulele and sing, hopefully at the same time. Jessica's laid back style and attention to your needs as a student will help you reach your goals, whatever they may be. Together, you will go as fast or as slow as is comfortable for you. Jessica works with classic rock, pop, folk and all your favorite songs as your step ladder for learning. Jessica also can help you develop your own musical style and teach you to write YOUR OWN SONGS from beginning to end, if that is of interest to you.

*** Studio Equipment ***
amp, microphone, keyboard, guitar, ukulele, music stands

*** Travel Equipment ***
Guitar and Ukulele. Students can rent instruments initially but must get their own, as soon as possible

*** Specialties ***
Classic stringed instruments such as acoustic / electric guitar and ukulele, and several unusual instruments such as singing saw and electronic and standard autoharp, singing, songwriting and guidance on how to monetize your band, including acquiring sponsorships and arranging local and international tours.

***What Are Lessons Like?***
Student(s) and teacher sit together and start with the basics, then move on to learn others' songs (The Beatles or other classics are a good place to start) and then may even try to compose original songs, if that is of interest.

Jessica is a virtuoso on the ukulele. She has the patience of a saint with less than adept students. Yet she is insistent, in a gentle way, about instilling correct form in her students' approach to the uke. In addition, she is a walking encyclopedia of songs that span the range from traditional to standards to current day favorites, and from country to r&B to rock and roll.

Students will study music history to see how songwriting has evolved through music history. Then, we will increase our literacy skills needed to write an effective song while expressing creativity. Lastly, we will the explore the process of music production and arrangement to create a complete song.

About Nicole
Nicole began her musical journey in Long Island, New York when she began piano lessons at age five. While receiving training on piano, she joined her elementary school orchestra in the 3rd grade and quickly soared with violin. During this period, Nicole began learning music theory and the art of reading music. As a fourth grader, Nicole would go on to conduct and tune every instrument in her orchestra during rehearsal. She always competed and won many NYSMA competitions for violin while attending music seminars and workshops. It was then that her teacher realized she had a gift. Nicole continued with piano lessons and began teaching herself guitar. Later, after college, she bought herself a drum set and began to teach herself drums.
As an adult, Nicole studied to become an elementary teacher and worked in the New York State Sch
ool Districts for over five years. Shortly after receiving her master€'s degree for Literacy Education, Nicole decided to attempt to share her passion for music. In 2007, Nicole opened a music studio in Holbrook, New York. Here, she refined her music teaching skills while establishing Nicolex Inc. Music Island as a leading source of quality music education. Her summer traveling music program allowed her students to experience live performances as well as create music groups with peers with the same passion for music.
Nicole now resides in Tampa, Florida with hopes to spread her business as well as the joy of music to children and adults. She currently is the singer for a local original rock band. In this band, Nicole writes songs, sings, plays guitar/piano (not all at the same time). Needless to say, she understands the importance that music has had in her life and wishes to ignite that passion in other music lovers.

*** Lesson Details ***
My teaching style is best labeled as kind but firm. I take my job very seriously and want wholeheartedly for my students to have music as a part of their life, not just a part of their day. I love to laugh and have fun but I will definitely expect my students to practice and complete any homework I assign and be prepared for the following lesson. Simply stated, music is fun and the love of my life, but if I still practice, you will as well. Otherwise, I always believe in teaching songs my students are interested in and will expand their musical skills. My experience as a public school teacher had enhanced my sense of finding individual needs of every student. Therefore, I always differentiate lessons to suit my students interest while teaching them the foundations every musician needs in order to be successful. My specialty is teaching a variety of instruments. I play drums, guitar, bass, piano, and sing as well. So, if one instrument is not for you, I can teach you something different without a problem. Long story short, friends, you are in good hands.

*** Studio Equipment ***
Full Service music room: Keyboard, Full drum kit, Electric Guitar with 30 watts Amp and Microphone/ vocal monitor.

*** Travel Equipment ***
I can bring a 76 key Yahama YPG-235 Keyboard for your household to use for lessons for a small monthly rental fee. I have an Epiphone Electric Guitar with 30w amplifier. Will also bring microphone and monitor for vocal lessons.

*** Specialties ***
I have taught mostly Rock, Blues, and Classical genres for Piano, Guitar, Drums. Vocally, I specialize in R&B, Broadway, Pop, Top 100 and alternative/Hard Rock. I will adapt to your needs.

Our 1st lessons was a disappointment my iPad and laptop are in perfect condition she kept telling us she couldn’t hear us we were like crazy trying to figure out what was wrong on our end but there is nothing wrong with my set up. We wasted a good 20minutes out of the 30 minutes.we used FaceTime on my cellphone instead for approximately 10mins.Before the lesson I told Nicoele that my daughter wants to learn a part of the song Havana she is having trouble with. Nicoele said to just omit that part instead and said that’s easy fix! Really? She didn’t teach her how to learn the part.then she asked my daughter what other songs she is working on and my child she said A million dreams. She let her play for about 2minutes and then said try learning this strumming pattern and jumped to the song You are my sunshine! What the !!! My daughter said Miss Nicoele I really want to learn the Havana song .Nicoele said play you are my sunshine!!!! Really? We lost $27.00 plus the $12.00 placement fee which Frank said he will wave that fee when I enrolled! Very disappointed student. She has a show to attend to on April 10 and never was taught the part of the song Havana that she planned for the day! Waste of money and time! After she hanged up she texted and she said she figured out what was wrong with her computer or set up! She should have credited me a few minutes of what we lost. She told us to find a live teacher or another teacher too before she hanged up the FaceTime!

*for travel to location lessons please contact me prior to booking to check location and availability, due to designated areas I already have established teaching and only travel to.

Cooking Lessons I conduct online, and all subjects can be done online also.

I like the combination of relaxed and goal oriented. I like to get to know my students and learn about about expectations and goals they have for themselves. Then I set up a plan that will help them achieve their goals and get them closer to what they want from their lessons. I take into consideration their interest, style, and help them to find their unique learning style.

I do have some guidelines for parents and students. If the student is a minor, I ask that the parent be in the house for the lesson. I also ask that the lesson be performed in the Living room or Music Space.

This teacher is impossible to get a hold of. Tried leaving several voicemails and text messages. He has a couple different phone #'s. Don't know which, if any, is the active # to use. No response from him ever. Couldn't reschedule because of this. Plus he lied and said I never contacted him. Now I am out a ton of money for lessons I wasn't able to use. Very greedy. I am not happy.

I use the Faber and Faber Piano Adventures books as a foundation, but also incorporate other music, including classical, pop and theatre music, depending upon student interest and what I feel will best help my students to stretch and grow! I've taken a couple of lessons from Trevor so far and they have been awesome. I've taken lessons from about 7 or 8 instructors in my lifetime and he is definitely one of, if not the best.
The thing that makes Trevor stand out to me is that he took the time to get to know what I wanted to learn and to figure out how I like to learn. He comes prepared to the lessons with material, answers any questions I have during the week by email and has worked with me to develop a specific education plan to meet my goals.
I suggest taking a trial lesson with this guy to see if you're on the same page. I am definitely not going anywhere else while I live in Austin.

Hi :)
I am a professional singer and piano player.
I have a band called Viva Vox and we are very popular in the whole Europe.
Beside that I am a composer, MTV songwriter, violin player and I have a bachelor degree in Music Production.

Whether you are a beginner or a professional musician, singer or a songwriter my Songwriting Lessons are far from standard ones, because songwriting is so much more than just writing a song :)

Beside learning the basic steps how to create "the world hit" we will explore the genre that you are most comfortable with, we will learn how to master the programs for composing and how to always have an inspiration for the perfect lyrics, how to compose your own song that you will be so proud of and also how to play piano (in case you don't know how to play it) because piano and composing always goes together :)

I am singing my own songs in front of 40 thousand people so let me pass on this amazing experience to you :)

About Aleksandar

I play violin and piano for more than 18 years and as a songwriter I had collaboration with many worldwide performers/singers/musicians. My songs were in the Top MTV Charts for more than 3 weeks. I composed music for international festivals, short films and documentaries worldwide, so let me pass on this amazing experience to you :)

I have been writing music since I was very young. I love the way music connects feelings into something that other people can hear and understand. I like to write songs with depth and can show you step by step how to get started making your own songs.

I can teach basic composition for other instruments, and show you how to use composition software like finale and even Studio One or FL Studio.

About Jessica
Hi! My name is Jessica

If you're looking for an enthusiastic teacher who loves her students (and may be a little bit nerdy), look no further! I teach voice, piano, ukulele, and steel drums.

Pasta, my dogs, and the color green are all the greatest things in life.

Music is a personal journey, and is unique for each person. I love to help people discover and grow their own passion. There is nothing more rewarding than being a part of watching someone develop into an artist who then goes on to influence others on their own journey.

Whatever it is you need, whatever you are here for, your passion is what will push you and lead you, and I am just here to help you with whatever direction you choose.

I have a solid background in live performance, professional gigging, music writing, singing, music theory, and of course in your ins
trument of choice. So whatever you'd like to work on I can help.

Can't wait to meet you! :)

-Jess

Jessica is a top-notch teacher. Our lessons have been super fun and I am extremely pleased. She is very patient and accommodates her teachings' style to my learning style. I strongly recommend her. As a matter of fact, I plan to study ukulele with her soon.
