Parking Lots and Poetry, Francesca's award winning album was received in 2010 to rave reviews. “Francesca’s songs have great musicality and the lyrical quality of a real poet. We come across countless artists and Francesca’s music genuinely cuts through.” -Joe Cuello, Vice President of Creative Music Integration for MTV

Francesca started teaching music at the early age of 16 with great success. She has honed her skills both in the private studio and in the classroom. Having served as musical faculty the California Music Academy, Cornelia Connelly High School, Pasadena Saturday Music Conservatory, and East Los Angeles College, having led choirs of 70+ high school girls and sung before sold out audiences of thousands of screaming fans, having toured 4 continents singing both classical repertoire and performing in commercial rock bands, having sung for president
s and princes, Francesca has high expectations and is skilled in helping her students reach their goals.
Now performing in the Donald Brinager Singers, a studio choir for-hire, Francesca can often be seen performing with orchestras throughout Southern California. While mentoring through her award-winning teaching studio, Francesca also manages to perform several showcases featuring her original music with her amazing back-up ensemble.

A Note From Francesca:
My official bio is listed below, but perhaps more important than the things I have done are the things that I am doing. I am now approaching my 15th year of teaching. I love to teach! I carry a minimum of 30 students, but have carried more then 80 at one time, and have never once complained. My waiting list cycles based on my performance schedule and recording schedule. If you don't see a time that works for you, feel free to reach out and see if we can find something that works, as an artist, my schedule can be quite full but also quite flexible. I love my students, I get to do what I love all day and I am sure it shows. I have a blast discovering new ways to experience music with "my kids." I call all of my students kids even though most of my studio consists of young adults. I try to have a young air in my classes at all times as it just makes the process so much more fun for everyone.
I've seen it all in through years: kids, adults, beginners and advanced students. I am personally very interested in being the most versatile musician possible and I love being able to share my knowledge with my students. We can study anything and everything from Classical Guitar to Electric Guitar Shredding; from Opera to Kelly Clarkson; from Tchaikovsky to Little Richard! I love getting students to dabble in little bits of all genres, often getting even the most skeptical student singing and playing comfortably in a matter of just a few weeks. My students will be able to read music for their favorite tunes and understand how to improvise from the start. Once you come in, you'll be hooked. You will have fun because I am having fun!
I encourage all of my students to share their favorite music with me. It affords me the opportunity to learn more about what they desire to learn and what types of music they enjoy. We will learn with your music often. After all, isn't that why you are coming to see me? I will introduce you to new sounds and styles, but will foster your love for music, and do my best to never force my music on students. I feel I learn as much from my students when I truly listen to them and their music as they do from me.
On site lessons are available for artists recording demos, rehearsing bands and setting up their own studios.
On a side note, I love seeing students at my shows! I am a full time musician and can be seen playing with my band, in my own solo project and in various choral settings. Check out my website and see what I do outside of the classroom. My students get a kick out of the idea that they can buy a CD with their teachers face on it, and to be honest, so do I. Many of my students have their own music out on iTunes and YouTube. Many more can be seen performing around town in solo projects and professional ensembles.

*** Specialties *** Francesca on Artist Development:
I feel obligated to share my joys and experiences-
Not many people have been blessed to sing alongside as many renowned musicians as I have - I've been lucky to be welcomed in both the commercial and classical worlds and they have both afforded me venues to use my voice and express the most vital corners of my soul. To find your purpose through art is one of the greatest gifts you can receive. And to be able to do that in front of thousands of music lovers live or over the airwaves is a surreal experience.
It's funny, my classical cronies are impressed to hear my stories of packed rock gigs at the House Blues and national touring festivals like Warped Tour and my rock buddies ask to hear my stories of Disney Hall performances with the LA Phil. To be honest, Iâ'm impressed to be there too. Sometimes, I look around and think, how did I get here? How did I get lucky enough to live the dream, to find a home in music?
I've been luckier than most. I've had GREAT mentors who have always pushed me forward and shared their wisdom freely with me. Part of the classical musician's central goal is to educate. That's a value I carry into my rock projects and production studio. Work smarter, not harder. Take the needed skills, create art, teach others how to do the same thing, move forward together to live happier, more productive lives filled with purpose.
I have come to be known as one of the top Musical Mentors & Artist Development Experts on the west coast. A behind the scenes- diva of dream building with the skills to push artists to the next level- the ace up the sleeve of many of today working talents. In my award winning studio, I spend time coaching the young voices and faces of today hottest TV shows seen on ABC, Nickelodeon, and the Disney Channel, but I still have a soft spot for up and comers in the indie music world. Having written and performed my own music for decades, I not only lived the collegiate experience of the elite classical performer singing for presidents and world leaders, but also the dingy road of the rock musician who's showed one night to a packed stadium full of fans and showed up another, thousands of miles from home to play to a coffee shop of 5 people. Music has brought me to nearly every continent and introduced me to some of the most talented and diverse people you can imagine. I feel compelled to share these experiences with those around me so that they my develop the vision, the salt and the skills to persevere.
I am, above all, an artist & creator- living the dream, helping people- like you find their voice and write their songs. Turning raw emotion into art.
Each one of us has a story, our truth. Being an artist is about finding ourselves, our song and expressing it publicly so that we may heal, so that we may grow.
It doesn't take a ton of experience to write a hit song. It doesn't take a fancy education or a family line of talent (though it can help). We can all find our voice, our place in the spotlight, what it takes is the courage to take the next step forward.
You've already had the genius to be in the right place at the right time. Here. If you've made it this far, chances are you are smart enough, hungry enough and ready to take the plunge.
Inside my studio you will find the help you seek. I can impart you with proven techniques to strengthen your sound, develop your tone through strong technique, develop strategies to share your art and develop a plan to turn pipe dreams into reality. Some desire to sing on the worlds brightest stages, others strive to lead others through teaching themselves, and some wish for nothing more than to experience music in a confident manner among friends. All can be lead on this personal journey of the artistic soul and all can make their offering to the musical gods. There is a place at the table for anyone seeking an answer.
I have been seeing Francesca for a year now. I LOVE going to my voice lessons because I know I'm going to get so much more than just a voice lesson. She always welcomes me with an open heart and love. The studios are a nice cheerful, safe space to be vulnerable while singing. My teacher is my biggest cheerleader, that's always available for a hug or advise. I'm lucky to call her my friend now. Francesca is my voice teacher and life coach. She makes me work hard and always WANT to learn more. I really couldn't recommend her more highly. She's who you need to see if you are looking to expand your artistry. I was so glad she took my call and welcomed me into her studio. It's evident that she loves what are she does. While every pro singer in town ends up at BugByte, I also see Francesca and her assistants working with beginners. So there's room for everyone there, unsurprisingly.

Francesca is awesome! She is very knowledgeable and creates a really cool, welcoming environment. I had never had a voice instructor before and I wasn’t very confident with singing, but these sessions are really helping me work through that! Francesca is very encouraging and she creates lessons around the music that interests you! She taught me some really useful exercises to help me improve with range, pitch, etc. also, gives tools and homework to take home and practice! I’m stoked I found such a great voice instructor! Her dog is awesome too. 😎🤘

Students can expect to learn approachable, applicable techniques for healthy singing, developing and strengthening their voice, in a fun, down to earth setting. I believe no matter what level you're starting from, you can learn the tools to gain the confidence to accomplish your singing goals, with your given talents. Each lesson will be tailored to each students level, addressing both the actual skills involved with singing,
as well as getting comfortable expressing themselves and working past what might be holding them back from finding their personal voice.
As a songwriter, I can also offer one on one mentorship and lessons geared toward honing your craft, and working on your original music.
Whether it's singing for the very first time, getting to a place where you can impress your friends at karaoke, or strengthening your personal singing style in a healthy, sustainable way, I am excited to join you on your journey!
Moriah is an amazing vocal instructor! She is so kind and focused on making sure you progress, whatever level you're at. She has given me wonderful tips and really helped me improve my technique. She really knows her stuff!
September 16, 2019
Moriah is so great to work with and an excellent teacher/ vocal coach. My technique, tone, and control have improved a lot in a short amount of time. Also if you want to learn harmony she's the best you're gonna find. 5 stars bc they don't have 6 for an option.
Learn a method for great songwriting that effectively expresses your ideas and emotions. No need to understand music theory or write music notation. In this series you'll be equipped with a range of tools that revolve around the concept of using patterns of stress and intonation to coordinate lyrics and music that will carry and communicate your idea.
My main subject is voice but I also teach acoustic guitar, ukulele and songwriting for the student who desires to develop their own style and create their own songs. Not only is it fun but the music education that comes with it is highly valuable for future musicians. (guitar and ukulele rentals available at an additional cost to the student)
For students who are just beginning their vocal journey or are busy performers who want to improve healthy technique and sing with more confidence; or perhaps a worship leader or backup singer is struggling with vocal strain, my goal is to help them find vocal freedom and maintain an amazing, healthy voice that will confidently meet their expectations, year after year, in every situation, every time.
As an active performing vocalist, musician, songwriter, and Christian worship artist and band
leader, I understand the demands and challenges of a busy performance calendar, singing sets for back-to-back audiences day after day and week after week, and the need for a vocalist to find the vocal freedom that will produce confidence in their voice no matter what the venue.
The first steps to mastering vocal freedom are the building blocks for vocal success. Whether the student is a child or an adult, with little or no training, it is my goal to make singing an enjoyable and freeing experience.
Singing with complete vocal freedom and confidence can seem very elusive. Surprisingly, it's not as elusive as one might think! Vocal freedom is within reach and most students experience a measure of it within the few first lessons, some even gaining a full octave in their range in their first lessons. Using a systematic method incorporating the study of good vocal technique and working on songs the student loves to sing makes learning more fun and gives the student a greater appreciation of music as a whole while encouraging a passion for music that lasts a lifetime. I encourage and teach sight reading, and theory basics especially for those students who are considering music as a profession.

Just finished my very first lesson with Cosima. I already learned so much. She really broke down that art of singing and made it very clear how the voice works. Then we did exercises afterwards which helped me know what I need to work on. Definitely need to check her out. She’s great!(:

Ed is very knowledgeable and makes the learning process enjoyable
November 10, 2018
Ed's vast knowledge, experience and easy demeanor is helping me finally gain a better knowledge of the fretboard and expand beyond "blues box 1" and connect the patterns. I think I see a light bulb.
October 22, 2018
Ed has a pleasant easy going personality. I've had a couple of teachers who were great players, but lousy teachers. I quit my last teacher because he was completely unprepared and what we did had nothing to do with what we did the previous lesson that I had spent so much time practicing. I got the feeling he thought he was so good he could just wing it. Wrong. I've only had one lesson with Ed, but he seems well prepared and he has his program structured so the student can learn in a progressive manor.
Hi there and thanks for visiting! I have been playing guitar, singing, writing and producing music for the greater part of my life. My endeavor is to guide you to an understanding of one or many of these facets and give you the tools you need to become your own teacher as you continue down this path.
Below is a brief synopsis about the lessons I teach:
Guitar/Songwriting: There will be very little music theory. I never needed much of it to write my own music, other than a few basic theories to get around successfully, so it’s not something we’ll spend a whole lot of time on. I have organized and constructed a course book to keep things lively and moving along efficiently. I call it NOTEbOOK. It’s also great refresher material to revisit in the future.
I teach basic guitar with accented professional appeal and rhythmic structure. My intention is to guide you to create your own original music using straightforward techniques. My goal, once we part ways, is for you to leave ...
I’ve been a writer and musician since I was a teenager, and have been teaching music lessons for over a decade. I began journaling at 15, mostly free-writing and poetry. This was my segway into guitar and songwriting. Over the years, piece by piece, I’ve gathered many angles to my myriad profession.
I’ll never forget my first singer/songwriter experience when I was 17. I watched my neighbor play guitar and sing on his porch. That moment changed my life and set me on the road I’m on today. Music and poetry can be transcendent when there is truth and love behind it.
At 18, I formed a transitory first band, The Screaming Poets. Shortly after, while attending Columbia College Chicago for creative writing, I organized another project called Satori. This group featured an accoutrement of musicians and styles over the course of its existen
ce. From indie-folk to punkish hard-rock to downtempo electronica, it was its own versatile caravan.
Post-Satori and a plethora of songs later, I fell into the world of electronic music production and engineering, getting hands-on with computer software and a keyboard controller. Furthering my advancement in the technological arts, I attended SAE Institute of Technology located in the heart of New York City. I graduated from the program with high standings.
The introduction to electronic music was a seed planted many years ago working with a friend producer and DJ. Over the years that seed developed into a unique cohesion of computer production with organic guitar songwriting. The electronica artist Loryn was born from this elemental form of designing music. Jointly, signed as Loryn with GoDIY Records, I began offering a licensing/production service for other artists, pitching my original remixes of their songs to opportunities in television.
Under Loryn, in 2011, I began releasing monthly newsletters to my fans and subscribers. In addition to artist updates, my passion for writing naturally crept in and became part of the newsletters. I have recently compiled these newsletters, as well as other works, into an anthology of poetry, prose, and flash fiction published in 2015.
Music… Writing… Teaching… Production… Whatever reason you’re here today, I’d love to learn more and possibly join you on your journey.
Thank you so much Lorin for the remote classes!! You were amazing and I learned more from you than I did from my in-person teacher here in town. Thanks!!
June 21, 2018
I had a great experience learning song writing with Lorin. I would highly recommend his teaching services to anybody eager to learn music.
June 8, 2018
Lorin helped me hone my songwriting skills immensely, by not only teaching but collaborating with me when necessary. It was refreshing to find someone who put his teachings into practical learning, where I could see the outcomes become apparent. He’s a nice dude, and is experienced equally across his fields. He guided me to making intelligent choices for equipment purchases, both instruments and pro audio gear. We first met while he was living in New York, and boy has he traveled since. I think living in so many different states, and being that well journeyed has given him good cultural depth to his work. Check out some of his own collabs with singers and musicians from all over the world...that really says it all.
Songwriting was a discipline I learned through years of experimentation on my own path. I have written hundreds of songs and played them in every venue from street corners to major festivals. Having studied songs from all through history and across cultures, I have gathered a very deep base of knowledge about how to reach people and how to unify your own creativity into a creation that could reach millions of people. I write a YouTube show and blog about songwriting, so this is an area I feel I am on the cutting edge with.
In lessons you can expect...
-Musical study: I teach many formulas for finding new ideas and expressing them in a song -Career coaching/collaboration: songwriting is a collaborative art form between writers, performers and marketers. A team is needed to give a song the best chance it can have at reaching new audiences. -Performance training: connecting the ideas in your head to the audience requires dedication and a balance between writing and practice. I am
I studied music therapy and music theory at Temple University from '06-'10. Learned a lot. Then again, I learned even more teaching at a school for kids with learning disabilities and working as a traveling street performer. Once you see the world and work with some unexpected challenges, you learn how to open up and knuckle down at the same time!
I am currently a full-time YouTube Creator, sidelining in cover bands and a solo act. Teaching is a big part of what I do online so I see my work as a private teacher as 'research' for the lessons I create. Although I'm firmly grounded in a classical music training, there's nothing you can ask about that I won't try to figure out. My favorite thing about teaching is using unexpected questions to develop new ideas that I then integrate into my original compositions. Check out my intro to the B
lues Raga video if you want to hear a good story about what I mean.
Recently I've had several articles published by the TakeLessons Blog. Check out my most recent post here. http://takelessons.com/blog/how-to-play-acoustic-guitar-like-john-mayer-z01
I try to help each songwriter become the best writer they can be through their own sound and language. During the lessons, I do quite a bit of analysis of a student's favorite pieces, as well as my own...then incorporate that into their own songwriting process.
I absolutely love teaching music! After over 20 years of teaching, performing, writing, and recording in all styles/genres, it continues to be a great adventure. It is a joy to pass this on to others...especially seeing my students that never touched the instrument going on to be very proficient players.
I take teaching seriously, but definitely try to make it enjoyable for the student. I studied classical guitar in college, but was playing everything from Van Halen to Jazz to Country & Blues before that. Currently, I'd consider myself a flat out musical mutt...enjoying anything and everything. The love of guitar has also expanded to a multitude of instruments that I record, gig, & teach with.
"Bill is a great instructor. I haven't been taught something I wasn't going to need to elevate my understanding."
"Jonathan is an excellent teacher and very enjoyable to be with. The environment is positive, instructional and after a few lessons has been rewarding and
productive. I look forward to continuing weekly songwriting sessions in his comfortable home."
"In the course of a few lessons with Gfire, I (with coaching) wrote a song that I felt pretty good about. I've written a few songs before and had learned t
he basics, but I enjoyed learning her method (which, in a phrase, would have to be "keep going") and I plan to use it to see if it'll help with my productivity. Gfire was always very upbeat and positive without being phony, encouraging without being demanding, so the lessons were always enjoyable. I would recommend her."
"Very professional & knows his craft well
Amazing - the vast experience & knowledge present themselves with just the first lesson!"
"Technology today is incredible. I'm in Norway, Fawn is in Los Angeles. Where else could I find a quality teacher with a couple of hit songs help me at my
craft? If it weren't for the internet I would have never found such a talented songwriter to help me tighten my songs. I love, love, LOVE the time I spend with Fawn hashing out my songs to record with my band in the studio. She is so gifted, easy going, precise and fun. She really respects keeping the integrity and emotions of my songs and is good at keeping people open to changes that are necessary to make a mediocre song great."
"This was my 3rd lesson with Loralee and I really enjoy her "get to it" attitude. She is always well prepared and has many exercises to work through toget
her. She doesn't waste any time. I feel she understood what I needed early on with little guidance from me. She's pleasant and enjoyable to work with. Looking forward to my next lesson."
"Chrissy was very instructive and positive and friendly and she worked with me for my individualized songwriting learning needs at this time. We worked on
my first song, and she gave me very good information and feedback and homework for our next lesson. Definitely several points above average!!!!!!"
"Stephen has definitely provided me an insightful way of analyzing songs and for writing my own music myself. He is really helpful and gives you many eye o
pening advices and tools that encourage you to develop your artistry. Furthermore, he provides a friendly and non judegemental atmosphere, which is essential for a student. I totally recommend him."
"I love lessons with Keira! She is so friendly and knowledgeable, and she really cares about her students."
As you develop your musical skills, you may become interested in writing your own music. While learning to play an instrument and being able to play others' music is a wonderful skill, nothing compares to creating sheet music full of your own compositions!
As a budding songwriter, you’ll need to add some additional skills to your repertoire. Writing music can be as simple as putting a pen to paper, or you can take advantage of the many songwriting tools technology offers. Whether you’re ske …
