Reading Lessons in Sopchoppy. Amazing Teachers.

Is your child struggling to read? With my background in linguistics and extensive collection of children's books, we'll help your child learn to enjoy reading and practice those words. If your child has a particular book they want to learn or they need help reading for school, sign them up and I'll help your student retain the information he or she is learning.

Lessons would be individualized to focus on areas that need the most guidance.

WOULD YOU LIKE FOR YOUR CHILD TO BE ABLE TO READ IN ONLY A FEW MONTHS? These are weekly 45 or 50 minute *PRIVATE* Reading, Tutoring or Full Comprehensive Learn to Read Programs. I use several learning enrichment programs and other supplemental programs that are age and grade appropriate. I love unlocking the mystery of reading through a variety of lovable characters, general games and computer games in bite sized increments that are comforting, exciting and nonthreatening, demeaning or discouraging.

I teach students how to read and how to increase their reading comprehension with different methods of acting out the plots and making them come alive with students.

I can come to you even if you don't live on the East side.

Using both a phonics and whole word approach, I emphasize letter sound and high-frequency word recognition. Some students hesitate to read out loud out of fear of making mistakes. However, by creating a comfortable atmosphere, I enable a student to learn easily in a supportive environment as we explore interesting passages of all types, including creative fictional, history-based, science-based, and contemporary.
