What a joy it is to play the piano!!! I have been playing piano and organ for over 35 years and teaching piano for over 25 years. One of my greatest joys is seeing people learn how to use their gift of music in making music through piano playing. I am happy to work with you at whatever level you are and whatever pace suits you. Some people learn faster than others and some in different ways. I will work with you to make sure you thoroughly enjoy your piano playing experience!
How exciting that you are thinking about learning to play the piano!!! One of my greatest joys in life has been sharing my gift of music with others, especially in teaching piano lessons. I began playing piano when I was 10 years old and by the age of 12 I was playing in my local church. I'm sur
He is a very patient and kind teacher, and every weekly lesson finishes off on a positive note, pun intended. I would ultimately like to play some of Bach's wonderful organ solo pieces and I'm confident Mr. Rossi can get me there.
I have learned to read music, amazing statement coming from me. I have always wanted to learn to read music and play the piano, guitar, or some instrument.
When I retired I decided to take piano lessons to fulfill my wish and to learn something new.

I am currently teaching most piano lessons online. I am also available for a few in-person lessons in my home studio, if certain safety precautions are followed... more about that at the end of this section.
Whether your lessons are online or in person, a typical lesson with me will include things like this:
-The student plays what they have practiced, and we work on any difficult areas and techniques for playing better.
-I introduce new lesson material, asking questions to make sure my student understands.
-We work on music theory, sight reading, good posture, and helpful practice techniques.
-I expect my students to practice every day, just as I do. It is the only way to become proficient.

Having taken numerous orchestral and other auditions, I have thought a lot about the process of preparing for an audition. I have had many successful auditions, but have learned just as much from the unsuccessful ones. I hope to share some of this knowledge and perspective with my students!

Students can expect a teacher that addresses every single aspect of learning orchestral upright bass: from honing bow technique, to left-hand formation and fingering choices, to reading musical notation, interpreting music and learning rhythm.
My goal is to help students develop a technical foundation on the bass for playing just about any kind of music that they are interested in, and to support students with practicing tips for areas in their playing where they want to improve. My specialty is symphony orchestra training, so I primarily use the Essential Elements for Strings books at the beginning, and then later as students make progress, I begin to introduce standard orchestral repertoire, sonatas, and concertos written for the bass. I have been teaching since August 2016 and so far I have helped students get into All-States, ensembles at the New England Conservatory Preparatory Division, Districts/Regional festivals, youth orchestra programs, and music degree programs at ...

Those 8 weeks were very productive as my she learned the entire song, did the audition and was accepted into the Berklee music program.
