I graduated with a degree in music performance in 2019, and have over 13 years of playing experience and 5 years of teaching experience (ranging from student as young as 5 years old). Outside of music, I am a medical student (M.D.). I enjoy using music as an outlet and teach trumpet lessons because it is my passion!
As a teacher, my goal is to help not only facilitate musical interpretation and technical skills on the trumpet but also help foster a student's life-long love for music. I believe that students should not only progress technically but foster a sense of who they are as performers, regardless of their level.
As a performer, I have played in symphony orchestras, in the pit for musicals such as Pippin, Into the Woods, and The Music Man, and private gigs. I've received training in performance anxiety and overcoming fear of public performance and would be happy to discuss techniques.
About Moriah
I offer individualized lessons and am passionate about helping students' achieve their goals!. I try to provide affordable lesson prices so that financial concerns never inhibit students' ability to progress and reach their potential! Please feel free to reach out with any questions.

I have a wealth of experience as a trumpeter and music teacher, and hold three degrees in music: DMA from Univ. of Georgia, MM from UT-Austin, and BM from N. Dakota State Univ. I am trained mostly in and play primarily "classical" trumpet, but have experience performing and teaching jazz and pop/commercial styles. Working with kids and adults on music is enjoyable and fulfilling, and I strive to help students as much as possible.
