Bellydance lessons with me will help you discover muscles that are rarely trained, develop and improve coordination and balance, strengthen your core and get a very good workout!

My lessons include:
-The use of bellydance instruments for dancing.
-The history and background of bellydance and its rhythms.
-The understanding and interpretation of the different rhythms

My approach to Bellydance is all about body awareness. I work with students on understanding body mechanics in order to eventually be able to layer increasingly complex, grounded and fluid movements. Wether your goal is professional dance or simply to enjoy a new hobby, classes are tailored to your needs!

Private classes are 30 mins-2 hours. The first half of class focuses exercises to help pinpoint the right muscles. The second half is on our feet performing drills and dancing!

I have over 20 years of experience as a Bellydance Entertainer and teaching experience! I have taken many years of master classes and specialize in dangerous props!

I have been belly dancing for over 10 years. Taking classes with me, I can teach you how to move your hips, belly, arms to belly dance. I like to focus on each part and take it step by step until you are able to move your hips, belly, arms, shoulders, and face to the rythm of the music. I will teach you how to belly dance and will also watch you belly dance and correct your movements and provide you tips for improvement. My goal is for you to reach your goal of becoming a great belly dancer.

Dawn R. is an International Performing Artist, Certified Instructor, and Award Winning Choreographer. Classically trained in Ballet and Jazz, she specialises in Belly Dance but is also trained and holds teacher certifications in Silver Sneakers Boom Move and Boom Mind, Hot Hula Fitness, Fire Dancing, and Pilates. She graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and a double minor in Psychology and Dance. She began her training in NYC with Serena in 1999. And has studied with Sema Yildiz in Istanbul Turkey in 2004. In 2009 she was 1 of 20 dancers worldwide chosen to attend Belly Dance Super Star’s main choreographer, Jillina’s weeklong belly dance intensive in Los Angeles, CA.

Her passion is helping educate her students and audience on the value of learning to dance in reducing stress, anxiety, and the risk of developing Alzheimer’s and dementia. She has been teaching belly dance classes since 2003.

I am a classically trained dancer with 20 years experience in performance. I have always been passionate about historic costumes and was introduced to historic dance while getting my degree from Ga. State University. I am currently the director of the Atlanta Historic Dance Company. I've performed, taught and choreographed for performances on stage, at historic events and in the film industry for the last 10 years.
Historic Dance can run the gamut between beginning level dances up to professional level performance. I can tailor your lesson to fit your needs. The most popular lesson at the moment is the 1920's Charleston. I can also offer lessons in popular social dances from the Renaissance up through the 1960's.
