Music theory can seem intimidating, but it doesn't have to be.
My students can expect simple, down-to-earth music theory guidance.

About Greg

For the last thirty years, from the day that I got my first electric as a teenager, to my work today as an acoustic guitarist for the band, Timberwood, and currently as a teacher of more than forty students a week, my life has been devoted to the guitar. I'm an experienced veteran of the meta

My son was given a guitar by a family member and showed variable interest until Greg started to teach him - Greg has woven elements of what my son needs to learn to improve with how these elements are used by some of the biggest and best guitarists ever and really changed practice from being a chore to something that can be fun. This is the way Greg said he would teach and he’s sticking very much to it! A great instructor that my son really enjoys going to - thanks Greg!!

I was very impressed, satisfied and happy about my guitar lessons with Greg.
I'm German and booked just 5 lessons due to travel reasons. There was very vage input from me to Greg when we started (I always play the same; want to get new ideas; ...). Greg did not just provide a regular standard lesson. He focused and addressed 100%+ my desires and needs. Greg provided me very conrete and great input in several aspects to what I can do to improve my guitar playing. This was very useful to me and enabled me to move my guitar play forward. I highly recommend Greg to anybody.

Greg is a great teacher! In just 4 months, I have learned so much about music theory, basic chords and history of guitar. He packs a lot of info in one lesson. He is patient and encouraging. He has exposed me to many artists who play guitar. He gives me good tips on how to form the chords easier. Greg makes learning to play guitar FUN!

I teach a simple, and broken down system of music theory, that is ideal for the vocalist, songwriter, and beginner or intermediate pianist to quickly grasp and apply to their practice! Taught along with piano lessons, it is the perfect way for the vocalist/ songwriter to be able to accompany themselves with basic piano chords within the first few lessons!
I use my own system, plus the Alfred's Piano books for children and adults if desired by client.

About Laura Leighe

International Billboard hit singer/ songwriter - Laura L.'s hit single "Boys Just Wanna Have Fun" hit #5 on the UK Music Week Pop/ Dance Charts, and #27 on the US Billboard Dance charts in the same week! Laura Leighe is also a finalist in the 2017 Unsigned Only International Music & Songwritin

If you have a passion for really understanding the heart of how music works, these lessons are for you. I have taught music theory for years, and I have given lectures on musical analysis at numerous international conventions. We can start at any level with these lessons, so if you are a high school student looking for a tutor for your music theory course, or a graduate student preparing for an entrance exam, I can help you succeed.

About Lance

Ever been told that you’re "a little pitchy," or that you “just need to give it more support?” Tips like these often leave people frustrated because they don’t actually give anyone a plan for improvement. In my lessons we will focus on real, specific issues, and make sure you have a great plan for

Lance has been teaching my 8 year old piano for the last few months, and we love having him in our home. He has a wonderful personality, is punctual, communicative, & great with kids. My daughter told me recently that she wanted to be a music teacher- it’s obvious what a positive impact he’s made with her in such a short amount of time. We are all a big fan and I highly recommend his lessons!

Lance is a remarkably effective teacher. I am a beginner at singing and found lessons with him to be very valuable. He does a great job of intently listening to your current abilities and knowing exactly what drills and exercises will be most helpful to you in order to improve quickly. He is very invested in you meeting your goals. I would highly recommend taking lessons with Lance!

I consider myself a theorist sometimes more than a musician. The studies that I use are a combination of taking songwriting structures and breaking them down so that they make sense to anyone. I teach chord progressions as well as scales and sometimes go a bit off the deep end when I feel students are ready.

He knows how to teach, but he taught from his iPad, iPhone, in his car. I kept asking him how to draw, and he kept showing me from his iPad. This didn't translate to a good experience. If he wants to teach, he needs to do it NOT from his car.

Jason was very patient with me and very nice. I loved what I've learned so far and can't wait to learn more!

Great lesson. Jason is working with my mom to tailor the lessons to her level. Mom enjoyed the lesson and is looking forward to more.

Music Theory is the study of the systems in music, typically examining the structure and patterns underneath all music, regardless of genre. These lessons include an assessment of the student's musical theory knowledge, including writing scales/chords/intervals, rhythmic study, writing figured bass, various music terminology, etc. These lessons are most valuable for the seasoned musicians (especially those that perform regularly), and those who are looking to go to the next level in their musicianship (i.e. starting university studies, wanting to explore a new musical genre, wanting to compose music, etc.), however a basic understanding of music theory is a necessity even from the very beginning of one's studies in any musical instrument. Music theory is such valuable knowledge to have and can greatly expand a musician’s horizons and confidence. I enjoy helping my students connect the dots and understand the system that governs music! I incorporate a variety of books and other ...

She is doing a great job teaching my daughter the techniques needed to perform on stage!! Also, how to meet the demands of singing while protecting her voice. She is upbeat, encouraging, engaging, kind, and very well educated in voice.

I have to admit I was a bit skeptical of online piano at first, but now I’m a fan! My daughter loves Beth and was taking piano in person, but now logistically online is the only option. It works really well, since it’s in the comfort of our home and I don’t have to take her anywhere. We set up a ring light I bought on Amazon and it’s works great through FaceTime! My daughter enjoys the online classes and looks forward to the annual local recital. We highly recommend Beth online or in person! She is so gifted and such a blessing!

"AMAZING!

I met Dave in my music theory class at Ex'pression college. He's the reason why I'm making music today. I went from not knowing a thing about music theory or a piano to creating chord progressions, understanding modes, intervals, modal interchange, and how to read sheet music. He's extremely patient, professional, and easy to get along with. His passion for music and teaching is infectious, I highly recommend!!!"
