I have been playing various types of organs since I was 12 years old. Each organ is different and there are many different styles of organs and keyboards. Each one can create a unique sound that makes creating music a fun and entertaining experience. I enjoy teaching people how to make music using their talents the best way they can. Not everyone is an expert but everyone can make music.
About James
How exciting that you are thinking about learning to play the piano!!! One of my greatest joys in life has been sharing my gift of music with others, especially in teaching piano lessons. I began playing piano when I was 10 years old and by the age of 12 I was playing in my local church. I'm sur

He is a very patient and kind teacher, and every weekly lesson finishes off on a positive note, pun intended. I would ultimately like to play some of Bach's wonderful organ solo pieces and I'm confident Mr. Rossi can get me there.
I have learned to read music, amazing statement coming from me. I have always wanted to learn to read music and play the piano, guitar, or some instrument.
When I retired I decided to take piano lessons to fulfill my wish and to learn something new.
Jim is so patient and understanding, I don’t believe another teacher would have been able to keep be going.
He knows exactly what my bad habits are and is trying to help me break them with great suggestions! For one,
I like to look at the keys while playing.
If you want to learn to play piano, Jim is your man!

I'm glad I found a teacher as patient, friendly and knowledgable as Laurel. I've been taking lessons with her for almost a year. She tailors the sessions to my spooky interests and encourages me to push my abilities.
When we began I had barely touched a piano in my life. Now I'm able to read sheet music, recognize relative pitches and play a list of my favorite songs with independent hand movement.
I'd recommend Laurel to anyone who wants to learn piano regardless of age or skill level.
I previously played the organ but had stopped for many years. She helped me get back into playing and provided new theory techniques that I had never learned previously.
I personally do prefer in-home lessons vs on-line. If there is a time in the future for in-home lessons to re-open I will definitely reach out Laurel to continue my lessons.

My child had one previous lesson with Paul. It is true that she was not following his directions and his frustration was quite obvious.
On my second visit I was appalled by Paul’s behavior. Again my child wouldn’t sit down on the bench correctly. Verbatim this what occurred next, I quote: “This is not going to work out. Get out of my house NOW, NOW!(Screaming, like I was going to prolong this). I have better things to do than waste my time with your daughter. I don’t want to take your money.
It is true that my daughter can be difficult when approached in an authoritarian manner. However, my daughter is not yet six and Paul brought my daughter to tears. Surely this behavior was at best inappropriate and says more about the person Paul is than about my daughter. A simple “ May I have word with you in private” would be a mature way to part company. Not throwing a 6 year out of your house because you are frustrated. I was horribly offended by his manner and attitude. No way to treat a 6 year old.
This man has no patience with young kids. I would stay away from this teacher unless your child has some experience with piano. Definitely not child friendly.
Normally I do not post reviews unless something extraordinary happens This is one of those: extraordinarily bad.
An apology is in order if this poor excuse for a “teacher” has any understanding of the unnecessary hurt he has caused.

There are many reasons why a music student may find themselves learning to play piano on a keyboard rather than on a baby grand: cost, space, or simply lack of access, for example. Versatility on a range of keyboard instruments is also an extremely useful string for any pianist to have to their bow, and can lead to greater practice and public performance opportunities, and even excellent opportunities to earn a little money on the side. The organ, although not the most prevalent or popular musi …
