The true test: wood, strings and fingers. Acoustic guitar is a different beast from their electronically assisted cousins. As with most beginning Guitar students, I learned how to play on an acoustic. While I have ventured on to learn many other instruments, playing the Acoustic Guitar remains my first love (as well as the majority of my income with my solo acoustic show).

I am quite versed in many styles including but to limited to: Jazz, Bluegrass, Folk, Classical, Blues, Reggae, and Funk. My method is very Music Theory based using mostly Classic Rock and Top 40 musical examples. I, some have said, 'inadvertently teach people Music Theory' by explaining HOW a song is written while still keeping it fun. I know from my years of experience teaching kids 7-18 that if a student isn't excited to play, they simply wont. I am an expert at figuring out songs by ear so pick your favorite songs and I'll teach you how to play them! I also have full recording capability should you want to ...

I had a great experience learning from Aaron. I was a brand new piano player with no knowledge of the instrument or music in general. Aaron was very patient and diligent in teaching me how to set a musical foundation. If you have the pleasure of working with him you will see why he is so highly rated.

Aaron is a patient teacher , which to me is one of the most important qualities any teacher can possess.

Alyssa is a wonderful teacher This was my first voice lesson ever. She was understanding, enthusiastic and very helpful in getting me started
Susan.
Alyssa is an upbeat, encouraging, and patient teacher. Her own singing voice is beautiful, and she sings very professionally in a wide range of genres. She is reliable, pleasant, sincere, and capable. She gives each student her full attention and tailors her lessons to each one's particular talent (as well as where they're in need of improvement). I recommend Alyssa very highly... She's delightful!

I have known Alyssa now for about a year and she is a true master of her art form. She is knowledgeable and genuine in her teaching and performing, and always seeks the best for her students. I highly recommend her as your teacher.

"Terri is amazing!

Terri is the perfect piano instructor for me. I hadn't touched a piano in 20 years but in less that 6 months, you wouldn't know it. We started with the basics and gradually progressed at my own rate - taking more time on theories and styles that I had a harder time with and speeding through those I found easier. She is personable and patient. I can't wait for my Friday lessons!"

"An engaging and wonderful instructor

I have been extremely fortunate to have had Bonnie McAlvin teaching flute, piccolo and music theory to my older daughter for nine years and flute to my younger daughter for four. She is an enthusiastic and energetic teacher that inspires a great love of musicianship in her students. My older daughter is a first chair flutist in a wind ensemble and plays with a prestigious children's orchestra entirely due to the patient and thorough instruction she has received from Bonnie. It is a great blessing to have musically talented children but an even bigger blessing to have an instructor who can give them the skills and encouragement to achieve excellence. My older daughter is working towards attending a conservatory for college and the younger daughter fully expects to have music be part of her education going forward. This is entirely due to Bonnie's influence and guidance. We could not be more pleased. My girls love their lessons with Bonnie and I cannot recommend her highly enough."

"My daughter has been taking lessons from Nancy for about 5 months. I have been extremely pleased with how much my daughter has learned and how she is continuing to improve. Nancy is patient but continues to challenge her each week. Nancy also organized a recital for all of her students with a reception afterward. Each student was introduced and had the chance to play several pieces. Everything was professionally done and a nice way for the kids to showcase what they have been learning. I would definitely recommend Nancy as a piano teacher."
