I have been singing with contemporary a cappella groups and barbershop quartets for over 20 years and can coach students on the basic and intermediate levels of vocal percussion

About Thomas
Thomas J. W. is an active music teacher, composer, adjudicator, and clinician in the greater Philadelphia area. He has over fifteen years experience as a concert band director, marching band director, jazz improvisation instructor, choral director, private instructor, and marching drill writer. His directing career has included small rural band programs, small metro programs, large high-achieving suburban programs, and non-profit youth bands. In addition to his band compositions, he also has over forty unpublished vocal arrangements to his credit, most written for use with collegiate men's a cappella groups. Thomas taught over 600 online and local private music lessons in 2016.

Thomas has a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education from The Pennsylvania State University. He holds a teaching certificate in the states of Pennsylvania
and New Jersey and has taught at the secondary level in both states. In addition to both instrumental and choral ensembles at Penn State, Thomas was a student leader in the Penn State Blue Band and a member of the brass section of the Cadets of Bergen County Drum and Bugle Corps in 1993 and 1994. He served as an Associate Director of the Warren Junior Military Band of Youngstown, Ohio from 1995 to 2005. He also served as a visual staff member for the renowned North Penn Marching Knights of Lansdale, PA for one season in 2004.

He is a current adjudicator with Drum Corps International and Cavalcade of Bands. He is a member of MENC, PMEA, NJMEA, ASCAP, CASA, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, and the National Band Association. He appeared in the Marquis Who's Who Among American Educators in 2004 and 2005, an honor rarely bestowed upon teachers, as students who appear in the Who's Who Among American High School Students must nominate them. He currently is a music teacher at the Center for Performing and Fine Arts of the PA Leadership Charter School in West Chester, PA and resides in Downingtown, PA with his wife and two sons.

Thomas will happily work with students on the autism spectrum or students with ADD.

*** Lesson Details ***
My lessons are tailored to the needs and interests of each student. If a student is involved in school music ensembles, we will work with their lesson books from school in addition to material outside of the books, including SmartMusic, Noteflight, and teacher-created materials. We will focus on building proper tone production and individual technique - something that often is difficult to learn in a large ensemble setting.

I am capable of starting a beginner student on any band instrument including percussion, any classical string instrument (violin, viola, cello, string bass), and piano. I can begin a student on drum set and work with them through their first method book, but I would then recommend they find a specialized drum set teacher after a period of six to twelve months.

For advanced students, I work from selected conservatory etude books on developing advanced skills and can work with students on audition pieces for honors bands/orchestras or college auditions.

My lessons are a half-hour once a week, with the option of working for 45 minutes or 60 minutes.

*** Specialties ***
music, band, orchestra, flute, clarinet, oboe, bassoon, saxophone, trumpet, french horn, trombone, euphonium, tuba, violin, viola, cello, string bass, piano, Percussion

Dave has taught for 17+ years and his major in college was Percussion Performance. His extensive experience in the sounds of percussion, give him an edge in teaching different ways to emulate sounds.

About Dave
I own a local music/art/production institution which hosts lessons for many instruments and artistic pursuits. Personally, I've been teaching for over 17 years, and I teach beginner to advanced students in instruments like guitar, bass, piano/keys, voice, and drums, and depending on your needs, our studio offers a variety of professional teachers that teach all woodwind, brass, and stringed instruments.

I also am an online teacher for a the world's biggest web platform for guitar instruction, and teach lessons alongside those in Berklee alumni, Musician's Institute, as well with many very famous artists that are now in the music business.

Though I've had the fortune to work with some of the best in studios, as a songwriter, and player, and in education, both professional and informal, I love to teach entry level players up through
the intermediate levels the most. I enjoy watching people discover things for the first time, and in my teaching I really do my best to craft my lessons to the needs of the students. My primary aim in teaching is that I would cultivate in my students a love for music and learning. With these two things in place, a student can go on to be and learn anything.

Join me and my studio. We'll have a great time, and we'll get you to your goals while we're enjoying the journey of music together!!

I can help you make the sounds that you need to fill out any performance or arrangement, all with the instrument we're all born with. I blend my knowledge of singing (most importantly breath support) and drums and to stitch together a personalized curriculum full of tinkering and guess & check.

About Daniel
I'm a gigging musician and teacher who graduated from Oberlin College in May 2015 with a degree in Musical Studies and Physics. I was on the Division III tennis team there for two years as well. I pride myself on patience and empathy no matter what I teach, whether it feeling the pulse of a complicated drum groove or solving a challenging physics word problem. For music lessons, I strive to bring in a context of genre fluidity and history, so that a student knows where and what to explore on their own even when I am not in the room to show them. Overall, my teaching is all about inspiring students to do well and make their strengths work for them, rather than dryly coming up with the "right answer" or playing a tune the "right way" to get from point A to point B.

Hello Friends!
I am a specialist in flute beatboxing, however I have learned how to beatbox over the last three years. Beatboxing has been a joy to learn and excited to share the skills and techniques I have learned over the last few years. Please check out the YouTube Videos below to get a better idea of my beatbox skills!

About Azeem
*See further below for lesson details!*
Azeem the Flutist: I am a Master's student in Flute Performance at the University of Northern Iowa. I have been playing the flute for 13 years and teaching for 7. My main style is classical, and due to the technical training I have had since I was very young, it has been very easy for me to learn and master other styles such as Folk, Jazz, Blues, Beatbox, Hip-Hop, and other styles of flute. I have a passion for performing and have played hundreds of solo and ensemble concerts. As a classical performer, I was the Grand Prize Winner of Santa Barbara Performing Arts Scholarship Competition in 2013 and won 3rd prize at the University of Northern Iowa Concerto Competition in 2016. I have played concerts all over the United States as well as in United Kingdom and Italy. As a performer of other styles I h
ave played in a couple bands (“Dannsair" Irish Folk Band and “Azeem X Underbelly”) and supported these acts on tours.

Azeem the Teacher: I really love spreading the knowledge I've learned over the years about the flute and production/composition (Logic Pro X and Sibelius). I find a huge sense of fulfillment in seeing my students enjoy learning and making beautiful music. I have a high level of knowledge and skills that I am willing to use to teach students from the most beginner to the most advanced on the flute.

*** Lesson Details ***
My lesson plans are based around your skill set. I expect my students to practice, but I make sure they're always having fun and enjoying playing. My goal is to get my students playing music as fast as possible so they can see results immediately and get excited!

Note: I am trained and specialized in teaching flute. Although I have basic skills in Production and Composition, my main speciality is Flute Performance. I always like begin lessons by addressing the foundation of a flutist’s musicianship, tone, and technique. The method I use is proven to give students of all ages the best possible start to music and maximize their potential. If you are looking to develop a great foundation of musicianship, style, and technique on the flute then you will enjoy lessons!

It was fun time learning music, especially the flute. I wasn't familiar with the music at all like I was an illiterate in music. Many Thanks for Mr. Azeem for being patient with me and walk me through every basic knowledge in music deliberately. In the end, I am happy to have a new skill in my life which is playing flute. I wish, I have more time to practice more flute and playing professionally. Also, Mr. Azeem is a decent and a respected person in all kinds, teaching, interpersonal conversations, and understanding the difficulty of playing flute for the beginners.

Azeem is a very helpful teacher; he was able to diagnose problems and give many suggestions on ways to fix issues in my playing. He also is friendly and professional, which made for a relaxed, but productive lesson session. We met once a week very consistently, and I can say that my flute playing has greatly improved as a result of these lessons. I highly recommend Azeem, and really enjoyed having him as a teacher!

Azeem was my flute techniques teacher and my lesson teacher while I am pursuing a Instrumental Music Ed degree. I have never picked up a flute and I was impressed at how knowledgeable he is at the flute. Throughout our lessons, he was very quick to spot and correct errors, as well as making the flute very fun and interesting to learn. Throughout our lessons, I was picking up more and more techniques, and was able to pick up the basic fundamentals without creating bad habits. Overall, great teacher and an amazing performer!

About Juan

I like to work with my students on their specific needs/interests/desires as singers and musicians. I used beatboxing at my audition at "The Voice" and I am sure that it was an element that added value to my performance. I also use beatbox to reproduce material and communicate my ideas to producers. I would love to teach you a thing or two about it!

About Rodolfo
Vocal Coaching & Wellbeing Singing

I have been teaching singing for 10+ years. I've enhanced singing lessons into a complete program of vocal mastery/songwriting with a blend of wellbeing techniques.

I am an active music artist, music production collage graduate, "The voice" ex-participant and vocal producer with vast experience in online music marketing.

Today's music industry requires to be prepared and aware of its fundamentals. Voice mastery, digital distribution and streaming, producing, audio recording, royalties, interpretation, social media, songwriting, copyright, are all random pieces of a puzzle you must put together in order to succeed.

I've been making music for over 22 years and I've felt the pain of figuring out this puzzle by myself. I've been copyright stolen, false magic lesson invested, lousy contract scamme
d, paying to perform, falling short of budget, trading soul for fame and many other beauties of this industry in my journey to try to make a living out of expressing myself.

My goal today is to use my experience to shorten the learning curve of others. My scope is on keeping you focused on your craft and introducing you to technologic tools that will allow you to keep expressing yourself purely and make it a sustainable lifestyle or an empowering hobby by seeing progress and results.

Stay focused on your dreams
