Trombone is my primary focus. I have been playing for 15+ years and have spent my life figuring out how to teach myself to play it better every day.

I teach absolute beginners, intermediate and advanced students. I work with them on technique, strong fundamentals, sound production and the repertoire of band and orchestra music.

Students can expect focused instruction from an experienced professional trombonist who is proficient in classical/orchestral, jazz, salsa/Latin jazz, funk/soul/R&B, ska/rock, Dixieland/second line, and any other genre a trombone can be played in.

I love teaching music. I think it should be fun and exciting to improve on an instrument. I meet the student where they are at with their ability and work up from there. I find as many different approaches to help students learn new playing techniques or refining ones they may already know. Music education is my passion in life and I can’t wait to work with you!

My name is Jerry. I LOVE music and passing my knowledge on to others. I have played many different instruments in many different kinds of bands. It all one major thing in common, it was FUN! If you are not having fun while learning an instrument you won't want to learn. Lessons can be fun AND educational at the same time. I have had many parents tell me I'm one of the best teachers they have ever seen. (A couple of them were public school teachers themselves). I truly want my students to succeed and I will do everything in my power to help them accomplish that!
