Bonjour et Enchanté
My name is Fabrice and I am excited that you are considering French lessons with me.
French is not just a beautiful language, it is a culture and people rich in Liberté, Egalité, and Fraternité. With all of my students, we not only explore the richness of the language but also the expansiveness and depth of the culture, people, and of course the country.
I am confident in my ability to help you learn French in easy and fun lessons. I have helped students of all ages, most of whom have little to no experience with the language. Today, many of these, same, students are well versed in conversational French and able to read, write, speak, and explore the language and culture in ways they didn’t imagine. I have also worked with students who have a good understanding of the language and wish to brush-up on their skills or work to perfect the language as a native speaker.
I apply numerous strategies that will depend on how you like to learn, however, I ...

I've been teaching guitar for about 10 years. I studied music composition in college and put that into my lessons. That means along with teaching guitar, I also teach my students about music theory. This will help the student learn the ins and outs of music writing and make it easier to pick up another instrument. With a greater understanding of music theory, their guitar playing will be a step ahead of other guitar players. Along with learning how to read tabs, guitar short hand, I teach them how to read sheet music as well. I also like to help my students train their ears so they can learn how to listen to something and play along with it. My main goal with all my students is to foster a love of music in them and give them the tools to play and write the music they love.
Hi I'm Josh and I've been teaching guitar since I was in high school. I absolutely love music and want to spread that love to anyone who wants it. Through the guitar, you can learn so much about music and create such beautiful sounds. If you decide to take lessons with me, I will teach you more than

The guitar is the most popular instrument to learn, and it can be used to play practically any kind of music in any style.
We all have a vast wellspring of creative energy within us, and my goal as a music teacher is to help you discover your gifts and make beautiful and deeply satisfying music. For this reason, my approach to teaching music is customized to the needs, tastes, and strengths of each student. You'll be able to choose material from popular and familiar music in whatever style attracts you.
You'll learn some basic exercises to develop core skills, gradually increasing technical challenges as your skills grow. Most importantly, you'll use scientifically-based learning techniques to train your brain and build "muscle memory." Soon you'll find yourself moving smoothly between chords without missing a beat, playing by ear, or writing your own songs. And woven into the practical lessons, you'll also learn basic elements of music theory.

15+ years' experience -- math and science specialist!
If you've been muddling along with precalculus or chemistry has you hitting your head against the wall, I've got your back! Focused but encouraging, enthusiastic but personable, I've patiently helped my students reach that "light-bulb moment" countless times.
Guiding someone to understanding a concept they struggle with is of course a major part of tutoring, but I'm also really big on coaching students to be methodical and have a system. Content knowledge is only part of the puzzle; problem-solving skills are crucial. Check out my testimonials to hear from my students themselves on that!
NOTE: I recommend 90 minutes for a first session -- in my experience, 60 minutes tends not to be enough to both get the lay of the land and deliver a reassuring and substantive amount of support. I look forward to working with you! I went to Princeton University and studied molecular biology. I w

Learning a new language can be tough. From new vocabulary to strange grammar rules, there's a lot of places beginners can stumble or get frustrated.
