My math lessons are unique in that I develop a connection with students that allow them to feel comfortable telling me "I don't understand." This is often the hardest barrier that parents believe their child has when being taught, and I'm often warned by the parent before I arrive that the student fakes understanding around his teachers or other tutors. But being 23 years old allows me to be a teacher and a friend at the same time and I feel that this smaller age gap between student and teacher is what makes them feel comfortable opening up to me, which they do with ease. After tutoring over 30 students in math ranging from middle school arithmetic to college calculus 2 to adults taking qualifying exams, I have been confidently able to identify exactly how the students are processing their math assignments just by watching them try to solve a single problem. After that, I just focus on correcting their way of thinking. My goal of tutoring is for the students to not need my help ...

I am an experienced musician and performer with a variety of teaching skills gained over 20 years of study and action. Lessons in my studio are about so much more than just learning to sing a song or write music. Students are instilled with business knowledge, work ethic, and confidence so that they can truly accomplish whatever they set their minds to. We go deep and focus on how to develop new mental and physical habits that can help the student better express his/herself. We work hard on a curriculum that is specifically catered to the student's needs, and of course, is fun too!
I've worked with students from ages 6-65, with varying backgrounds and interests. From complete beginners to professional performing artists. All students are guaranteed to see improvement in their technical skills within the first month of lessons. Let's do this!

I specialize in helping PhD Candidates working on their dissertations, but I make SPSS & Statistics accessible to all regular students by demystifying the vagaries of statistics and SPSS and speaking straight forward English. I also break down the important concepts in each analysis into step by step parts that give students a strong understanding and concept of what they are doing.
I have over 20 years of experience with both statistics and SPSS and have been tutoring and teaching for several years. I teach everything from basics of distributions and descriptive statistics (mean, median, mode, standard deviation, etc) to advanced inferential statistics including the formation of research questions and the Ho (null hypothesis) and the Ha (alternate hypothesis).
I have a strong knowledge of the major statistical tests used to test hypotheses including one-sample t-test, independent samples t-test, paired samples t-test, ANOVA, ANCOVA, correlation, simple and multipole regression,
I am the rare statistics and research tutor who can help students at every level with straight forward explanation of how to run and interpret statistics. Once I understand it, I can explain it in comprehensible terms to my students. Academic Experience: Though my specialty is working with PhD can

If you've ever watched an actor disappear into their role, shedding genuine tears or adopting mannerisms that aren't their own, then you've seen method acting techniques in action. Most people think of this approach as "becoming a character," and some actors do take that literally, pretending to actually be the person they're playing. Method acting is taught everywhere from Hollywood to Broadway. But a few notable actors are well-known for taking it to award-winning extremes, making enormous …

So, you’re ready for your first improv audition. You know enough to give gifts, to not ask questions, and, when all else fails, to say, “Yes and…” (You do know all these things, right?) If you’re reading up on improv auditions and comedy shows in Chicago, you’re already on the right track, even if you know nothing. Auditions for improv groups can differ quite a bit from other kinds. The process can be intimidating but the possible rewards, namely lifelong personal friendships and pro …
