I wrote my first C program on MS-DOS 6.0, do you remember DOS? Or perhaps you never even heard of DOS. Let's just say I've been a C programmer for a really long time. I used to tutor people in CS 1 in college, their intro to C programming class. Whether you use C in Windows or Linux, I got you covered. I did systems programming in both Win32 and Linux. C itself is actually is very small language, it is just a very minimal abstraction on top of assembly language. So in many ways it is still semantically similar to assembly language. This is probably why many people consider C is a difficult language. Not because it is still to learn, but rather difficult to use. It's like chess, knowing the rules doesn't make you a master chess player.
Now I don't pretend to know every little obscure C trick there is and write the most indecipherable code, which by the way you should never do that. Writing unreadable code is a very bad thing for everyone. The reason people created high ...
About Luther
I'm a laid back kind of guy, and I'm passionate about the subjects that I teach. I've been tutoring since 2011 in college and grad school, so I do have quite a bit of tutoring and teaching experience. Perhaps more important than knowledge and passion is the ability to break down a subject so

With over a decade of teaching experience, I know how to explain concepts. Learning coding requires writing code. I have experience with Java and Python. We can go over your class examples and learn "if, else" statements, loops, arrays and lists, dictionaries and tuples, and using documentation. I will translate the words of your instructor to plain English that can be broken down and understood at a fundamental level. I recently got an A on a final exam for a course on Java at an accredited university. I finished the Coursera program from the University of Michigan on coding for Python. I used to run a chess nonprofit and developed a curriculum. I'm currently studying electrical engineering and computer science.
About Ben
Learning coding requires making the jump from plain English to binary, 0's and 1's. When you write code, you speak in a language made for a virtual instrument called a compiler. This instrument then translates your specific syntax and language into 0's and 1's. The compiler sends the message to the

I do a lot of Python and SQL programming and can help in many ways from automating tasks, to building websites to data analysis or simply figuring out a good way to view your data.
About Casey
Hey you! I know programming can seem really difficult or scary, I was there too not so long ago. It doesn’t have to be if you are willing and able to ask for help and, YOU are here so YOU are able to break down those mental barriers. We all can understand most concepts if they are broken down for u

I have been teaching for over 5 years from elementary ages to college level students. My lessons are designed to help beginner students become confident with their programming skills. My philosophy behind my teaching style is to first understand how the student learns. I like to find out specific interest they like such as a sport or a hobby. This way I am able to relate computer programming to something they already understand. Then I progress to where they are able to teach it back to me. I also have a few standards when I teach to always set a the mood and tone of my lesson. Creating a positive climate and most of all having FUN!!
About Gregg
I graduated from the University of Phoenix with a degree in Computer Science. I focused my core studies in advanced software development. My primary language I focus on is HTML, CSS and JavaScript. I have also been developing skills with React and node.js I have some experience with C++, C#,
