Once that is established a specific lesson plan is made to help students meet specific goals which includes any goals they may have for themselves. Lorna is certified to teach children from K-12 and have been teaching young people professionally since 2006. She is a lot of fun and endeavors to make lessons educational as well as fun for her students.

About Lorna
Lorna is a music teacher who has been teaching voice and piano for years. She is a graduate of Florida International University where she earned a Bachelor degree in Music Education. She is lots of fun. Lorna is also a professional singer who sings several genres, which includes opera, jazz, R&B, gospel, pop and musical theater, etc. A student can expect to grow and advance as a performer/musician while taking lessons with Lorna.

*** Lesson Details ***
Lorna teaches all ages and genders, and likes to make music fun and interesting. Yet it is very important to her that her students learn, grow, and understand their instrument so they can use it effectively. In the initial stage of lessons students are assessed to find their strengths and weaknesses. From that assessment Lorna creates an individualized plan for her students to hel
p them reach specific goals. Music is one of Lorna's greatest passions and she enjoys passing on everything she knows to her students.

Ms Lorna is a great instructor and very professional. I intend to continue to develop my singing ability with her. There were times I thought I just couldn't do it, but she is so encouraging and also assured me I can do it. My confidence level has increased tremendously so has my ability to sing from my diaphragm, not my throat. I truly recommend this instructor.

I can help teach jazz piano, classical, contemporary and improvisation.

About Tonya
Hi, there! My name is Antonina and I can't wait to meet you! I've been teaching private lessons for over 10 years and although I help foster technically advanced students, I mostly pride myself on the fact that I help students fall into a lifelong love with music! Although with time students tend to lose their interest due to the self-discipline required to succeed at playing an instrument, I make sure to offer a fresh, inspirational, and engaging approach to my lessons. I introduce many different styles, performance skills, composition, and most importantly the ability for self-expression through music. I have been playing, teaching, and performing my entire life and have a huge passion to share the gift of music!

Piano classes will be geared not only with piano technique, but with music theory as well. Piano is a great instrument to learn because it is the instrument that allows you to be able to transfer to other instruments, if you desire. Piano lessons will be geared towards music reading and technique. Once a basic and proficient music reading is achieved by the student, lessons can begin to infuse music not only from the method books, but from student interest.

About Kadhine
Hi! My name is Kadhine Rodriguez. I started my teaching career in Tampa, FL while I was in college teaching private voice and piano. I received my bachelors degree in Music Education from the University of South Florida in 2011. During my time in Tampa, I was heavily involved in a lot of performances, both inside and outside of school. In addition to studying and teaching privately, I also worked in a community theater in Tampa where I not only performed in shows but was the musical director to their youth theater shows. After graduation, I came back home to Miami to start my public school teaching career. I have been teaching in Miami Dade public schools since 2011 and have taught PK-5 general music, choir (all levels) and guitar (upper elementary and middle school). In 2015, I was fortunate enough to become a Little Kids Rock certified
teacher which has taught me about guitar and rock bands. In 2016, I graduated with a masters degree from Florida International University, also in Music Education. I look forward to working with you and/or your child in your musical journey!
