The reason people have "accents" is because they speak a foreign language using the grammatical and phoenetic rules of their native language. This is easily corrected and I am the one to show you how!

About Margo
Are you ready to fall in love with your voice? Are you ready for something different? If your voice isn’t becoming to you, YOU should be coming to ME!

I know what it's like to be frustrated with boring exercises and processes that seem to take a lot of time but yield no results. That's why I decided to teach DIFFERENTLY!

I've invested a lot of time, energy, emotion and $$$ on big-name schools and "experts", only to be disappointed with what I was taught because a lot of the information or techniques they employed simply didn't apply to me or my goals.

Since 1997, I have perfected the K.I.S.S. methodology to improve sales, stage performance, professional advancement and overall quality of life. My effectiveness and willingness to guarantee my work sets me worlds apart from every other professional in my field. Furthermore,
I have been named "Top Producer" in EVERY sales and management position held and have won first place in every singing and speech competition EVER entered since 1991. However, with my accolades, I am humble, easy-going and take a light-hearted and humorous approach to my coaching sessions.

At an early age, I was taught the importance of working "smart" and not "hard." Efficiency and effectiveness were the order of every day.
As the daughter of a Master Herbalist/musician (mother) and bodybuilder/ musician/ policeman (father), wellness, discipline and the stage have always been the way of life.

As a child, I was fascinated by my mother's stories of performing with members of Earth, Wind and Fire and other famous musicians and marveled at my father's accounts of being a friend and colleague of Sergio "The Myth" Oliva (3x Mr. Olympia). These experiences piqued a strong interest in stage performance and resulted in years of training in fine arts, fitness and linguistics. I was constantly reminded that the best performers in any field are "complete packages", meaning that they are well-rounded and adept in multiple facets of their chosen field.

To become a complete package, I studied classical piano and vocal performance at Sherwood Conservatory of Music and VanderCook College of Music; martial arts (Hapkido) at Hyun's; Fashion Design and Merchandise Management at International Academy of Design & Technology; herbal medicine at The School of Natural Healing; acting and musical improvisation at ETA Theatre and The Second City; flag, rifle and sabre twirling with South Shore Drill Team and runway/print modeling at Barbizon and The Fashion Connection. I have also studied tap, liturgical, ballet, modern, salsa, ballroom and street dance; speech therapy; actively study psychology, anatomy and nutrition and am a NESTA-certified wellness coach.

Timing Disclaimer:
Our time together is very valuable. If you are not on time for your session, the missed portion will not be made up at the end of the session. If I am not on time, I will make up the missed portion at the end of the session or alternate agreed-upon time. I have developed a proven, groundbreaking, unique, fun and interactive approach to reduce, and in some cases eliminate the foreign accent completely. How you ask? Being a singing teacher for over 15 years, I have always found it fascinating when my foreign students would be able to sing a standard American song with NO accent. Somehow, singing completely eliminated their accent. Since that discovery, I was determined to find out why and how. Based on my research, I have created a very easy to understand method that can dramatically reduce the foreign accent.

Coming from an immigrant family myself, and being fluent in three languages (English, Spanish, Italian), I can relate to the challenges foreigners face when attempting to speak in a neutralized American accent. This can be holding you back from advancing your career.

You will see results instantly. Take the first step to propel your career to the next level!

About Gabriel
Two-Time Broadway Award Winning Actor/Singer Gabriel has performed starring roles on Broadway, Las Vegas and International stages around the world. Known as the “Trilingual, Triple Threat”, this powerhouse of a performer has also appeared in hit shows like ABC’s “Switched at Birth”, CBS’s “Criminal Minds”, Nickelodeon and many other Principle leading roles in Feature Films and Television. His televised PBS concert “Live from the Venetian in Las Vegas”, has aired in over 350 PBS stations across North America. Most recently, Gabriel starred in his award winning portrayal of Dean Martin in the hottest show on the Las Vegas Strip called “Vegas! The Show” at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino.

I sought Gabriels assistance in preparing me for an upcoming vocal Audition and to help me work out the kinks of whatever bad habits i may have deveoped over the summer. He himself has an amazing voice and charming personality. It helps to have an instructor that has been through auditions to give you pointers. He has an amazing ear as well, so he catches things—like if you tighten up on a note—and is quick to correct you. Each class i have walked away learning something new, and having something previously learned reinforced. He is well worth the time and money. Very professional.

Hollywood Film and Broadway Actress/Singer now in Silicon Valley has coached hundreds of students: performers, engineers, and business people. Marie teaches Accent Reduction exclusively and has an uncanny passion for the work.

A lot of patience, encouragement, and positive support with a splash of fun is the best environment to transform your self-consciousness to self-confidence.

Uniquely as an Asian-American actress, many of my roles required me to speak many languages and to put on a foreign accent that would convince a global audience. Using the IPA, the international phonetic alphabet, I applied a solid technique in decoding an accent and then applying it to my voice. Having worked with foreign-born scientists, engineers, and business people, I apply the same technique.

If you feel your English is holding you back and tired of people saying, “What did you say?”, I want to help and guide you.

Before your first lesson:
We'll have an initial meet & greet ...

About Marie
A native Californian, Marie is most known for her starring role in Warner Bros’ THE ART OF WAR as Julia with Wesley Snipes. Marie was handpicked by producer Cameron MacIntosh at her first professional audition for the Broadway show MISS SAIGON. Acting in films that have grossed over $400M, she has worked with Oscar, Tony, and Grammy award winning directors, producers and talent with companies such as Paramount, Fox and Warner Brothers. Has worked with talent with both Michael Mann and Oliver Stone twice each, Mark Wahlberg, and Ben Affleck.

Marie, as founder of a performing arts conservatory in downtown LA, has taught voice to hundreds of children for 10 years. Hollywood studios often called the conservatory to find talent including DreamWork’s Memoirs of a Geisha. Notable alumni include Monica Parales (Nickelodeon star, recording
artist), Melissa Reyes (Who’s the Next Pussycat ) and Nikki Soohoo (Peter Jackson’s Lovely Bones).
Having studied linguistics at UCLA and with the best voice teachers in the country from the Berklee College of Music to the Cleveland Institute of Music, Marie has clear knowledge of the anatomy of the voice, the articulators, and the specificity in creating phonemes. Her undergraduate foundation in Engineering and a graduate degree in Business uniquely positions her to coach clients working in those fields.

she is money oriented/CLOCK WATCHING and concern about filling the time than having any usefull teaching content. On the first lesson she told me 3 times that she is raising money for her new LCD and I wanted to help!! Who does this!!

She bragged about her skills in accent reduction and 3 days she spent on analysing. BS. She is lying to your face when she didnt even spent 5 minutes.

I had an emergency on my first session, and she did nothing to make it up. Instead, she marked it as missed, and txt me that she doesnt know how to override it!!!! ( she could have not mark it as missed!!!! In first place) . Then she told me on second session, there is nothing she can do about it( really!!??? U cant even do a gesture offer to spend some time!!??). Then she is telling me she is working on amillion dollar deal, and she doesnt need 36$ :)))) and right after she asked if I wanted to help on lcd fund raising!! We had 10-15 min on actuall lesson which has no content. total BS.

I feel future students need to know about this. If she want to interpret this that im being a herk thats totally fine. Thats my civil duty to put it out there what my experience was.

Ready to speak like a native? Learn with me as I teach you phonetics, pronunciation, and vocalization in an engaging and proactive way for you to master the English and/or Spanish language. My name is Katherine. I am new to TL and excited to share with you my 15+ years teaching English as a Second Language. I am natively bilingual, both in English and Spanish, mastering both languages since childhood. I have done much research in language learning, neurolinguistics, and teaching techniques, to be able to provide an unique English learning experience for people who struggle with the language and want to master skills in writing, reading, grammar, TOEFL prep, but most importantly speaking and listening. I grew up as an immigrant in the USA, so I know how non-English speakers are frustrated in taking years of classes without being able to communicate in English. I have developed my own method of teaching English in a quick, fast-paced, and effective way through my experiences that I hope

About Katherine
I am a generalist and jack of all trades at heart. I am an artist, writer, and researcher in the arts and sciences, as well as an entreprenuer and teacher. I am mostly an autodiatict and a gifted learner. I have a passion for learning. My studies have been mostly independent, although I have studied in the USA.

I am from Colombia and moved to the USA in 1999. Growing up in an immigrant home, I mastered translation and interpreting in English and Spanish vice-versa as my family's livelyhood depended on my contributions. This led me into strong interest in language learning, researching into neuroscience, linguistics, biology, and development psychology. This also led me to further developing learning methods and techniques though strategic design, neuro-plasticity, and natural learning interfaces to teach the English language to beginner
s, students, and professionals, as well as special needs learners.

I also worked as project manager for United Data Technologies, working on a concept proof to gain greater insight into integrating technology into K-12 curriculum. I later ventured into entreprenuership co-owning and investing in agricultural and construction companies, spending some time away from the classroom and my independent studies. I became a mother recently and have settled down to teach again from my home based practice.

Fun fact about me: I have conservatory level studies in the fine arts, began oil painting at age 6 and taught children and adults oil painting in my adolecence.
