I have a bachelor degree in filmmaking and media studies from the University of Minnesota. I have been working in digital filmmaking and live studio recording professionally for over 4 years. I'll teach you how to master the Adobe Creative Suite including Premiere Pro and Aftereffects in the most effective way. At the meantime, there are many works that need to be done before the filming process starts such as scriptwriting, budget management, casting, etc. I will cover all the topics in Video production systematically. Filmmaking

Hi! This is Serena. I have two bachelor degrees in filmmaking and media studies and history from the University of Minnesota. I have been working in digital filmmaking and live studio recording professionally for over 4 years. As of my second history major, my focused area of study is in Europe and I've done multiple research studies in the Middle East. I scored 5 on AP World History, AP European History, and 4 in AP American History. I will make history such an interesting subject for you to learn!  

      I have been learning Dutch at the University of Minnesota for 4 years and have a Dutch minor degree. I'm also certified in Dutch proficiency through the Department of German, Scandinavian, and Dutch at the University of Minnesota. I've lived in Amsterdam from 2017-2018. I know how to efficiently and systematically teach the Dutch language based on my own experience.

      Ballet has been my passion for almost 18 years. I started when I was 3 (now I'm 22), and I only love ballet more and more each day. I was trained in the Vaganova style of ballet (Russian) until I was 14 in Minnesota. When I moved to Ohio for high school, the dance school in my area taught in the Balanchine style of American ballet. When I returned to Minnesota for college in 2015, I started dancing at the Minnesota Dance Theater. I recently moved to Florida and run my own home dance studio.

Hello, my name is Pedro Cohen, and I've been a film director for the past 17 years. Throughout my career, I've worked in Latin America, Europe, and the United States. My films have earned me awards in Venezuela, Spain, India, Los Angeles, and New York. I've had the privilege of leading incredible projects, and I attribute my success to my education. I hold a Master's Degree in filmmaking, and I was fortunate to have educators who truly cared for me. It's for this reason that I've chosen to give back.

I've served as a Senior Filmmaker Instructor and Program Director at various film schools, and now I'm eager to continue sharing my knowledge with you. Regardless of your location or available resources, I can teach you everything from the ground up: how to create a film, navigate festivals, establish connections, and turn a profit. My name is Pedro Cohen, and for the past 17 years, I've been deeply immersed in the audiovisual world. My greatest passion in life is to ignite that spark of knowledge in others. My aim is to provide you with the necessary tools to succeed in life. Zach is the best first acting teacher I could have ever asked for, I got so lucky to find him! His personal experience and insight on not only the acting front but what a director could be looking for is so useful. I have learned so much from him on how to audition and what a set is going to be like, even the business part of it and how to really get started. I had no experience when I first started my lessons and now I’ve never felt more prepared. He’s amazing!!

As a professional filmmaker, I use my experience writing and directing award-winning short films to help you understand how to bring your stories to screen now. Not later, not after you've sold a script to a big studio. Right now.  

Join me as we work through foundations of the craft — including story structure, the script, fundraising, pre-production, visual tone and composition, running a set, directing actors, editing, sound design, and even distribution of the final product. My goal is to mentor you from script to screen and help you start making the movies you've always imagined.

**Please note** I do not teach the technical/equipment skills of filmmaking (i.e. cameras, editing software, color correction software, digital effects), though I do advise and reference these elements. My work is geared toward helping aspiring directors and screenwriters master dynamic storytelling in the visual medium of film.

My work as an acting coach speaks for itself. Actors I work with have booked their first jobs as a recurring guest star in a primetime television series, a lead in a Lifetime movie, roles on two Netflix drama series, and a major guest star on an Amazon original drama series. This is in addition to working actors I already coach on various projects they're auditioning for and filming.

In my own career, I'm a Los Angeles-based actor-turned-filmmaker. I've played theaters in New York City and all over the world (including touring in "Les Misérables" and being an original cast member of "Heathers: The Musical"), and I've acted in television shows like "Switched at Birth" (ABC Family), "The Good Wife," and "How I Met Your Mother" (CBS). 

As a director, my short films have played festivals and won awards across the globe, including the CINE Golden Eagle Award for Narrative Short Film — an award recognizing rising filmmakers which has honored the early careers of Steven Spielberg, Robert Zemeckis, Mel Brooks, Jim Henson, Taylor Hackford, and many others since 1957.

I currently have two feature films being financed, as well two short films in pre-production: one filming in Ireland in April 2024 and one filming in the Democratic Republic of Congo in June 2024.

I am very comfortable with all aspects of the current music syllabus, including teaching musical concepts (such as duration, pitch, dynamics, tone color, texture and structure) as well as performance, composition. I am fully qualified, with a Bachelor of Education in Music, Double Masters in music performance and education from University of Nottingham.
I am proficient in classical, jazz and Celtic fiddle violin and possess solid skills in piano (grade 8-13) Royal conservatory system.

Above all, music needs to bring obvious joy to the student, regardless of the difficulties.”
