I have many years of experience writing songs and even helping singers and musicians all alike to refine songs that they have written. Let me help you formulate those songs you have been dreaming of and make them a reality!
I have been singing and studying voice for over 23 years since I was a child! I hold a Bachelors from Musicians Institute and other accomplished degrees from American Musical Dramatic Academy to conclude my quest for vocal excellence and the ability to sing in multiple languages ( English, Spanish, Japanese and Italian) I have been lucky enough to study with some of the top teachers in the country and now I bring the experience I have gained directly to you!
I am proud to share my student's vast array of musical successes. From being cast on short anime films and musicals to being accepted into prestigious performing arts academies to conquering the Karaoke scene. My passion for multiple languages and love of music is the desire driving me to share the gifts for teaching young children to open the door to their own musical abilities an
d hidden artistic desires. I am currently writing a musical which will be debuting in 2020. I'm currently the vocal coach/Trainer and choir director at Iglesia Elim Central.
I will make sure my students have fun and help them get in the right track to their musical goals.
Also, I constantly upload videos on Singing, The Spanish Language, and Japanese! So keep Checking in! It ranges on tips and answering the most common questions on those particular subjects!
Also There are discounted rates for worship teams and church choirs. For more information please contact me through the "Ask a Question feature"
*** Lesson Details *** I do my absolute best to create a positive atmosphere for my students. Even when the students feel frustrated or stressed, it is important to inspire them and give them the fuel that they need. Though I am strict when it comes to homework and their about their studies. Every lesson at the beginning I will review what we learned previously and test them. then begin with proper breathing technique exercises, the cornerstone of all vocals. We move on to vocal exercises to condition the voice. Then we work on the songs that you are eager to sing!
I will use a piano when doing vocal warm ups and conditioning exercises. Students that play other instruments and accompany themselves when performing (such as a guitar) are encouraged to bring that instrument to their lessons. My goal is for them to gain the knowledge that they need to help reach their artistic goals. With all my lessons every student will be taught a basic run down of Music Theory. My students will always progress in what they do. They will have the discipline that they need and yet have fun and be filled with inspiration. Which is the most important thing, to be Inspired to do better.
*** Studio Equipment *** iMac, condensing mic...performing mic, keyboard, mixer...living room of apartment.
*** Travel Equipment *** I do have a portable keyboard. Though I do expect the student to have their own recording device and karaoke tracks. At Home I do have a studio, and if the students has an iPod or an Mp3 player I can attach it to a device where all of us can hear the tracks. I do have a recording studio as well.
*** Specialties *** I specialize in Musical Theatre, and Pop rock genres. When I teach my students I always have them learn a song of another language whether it's Spanish or Japanese. It helps with diction when they learn a song outside the English Language. Also, It helps them to learn another Language at the same time. Also, I give them a little anatomy class when they are learning how to sing. I give them a model of the Vocal Cords and different areas of the Larynx and which part works for the chest voice and the head voice.

I would absolutely recommend Rosita because I think she has the bestSpanish course for medical Spanish. It’s everything that you need without having to go through a bunch of unrelated Spanish vocabulary. I don’t really need to know how to order a meal, I want to find out how I can help my patient. I need to be able to communicate with my patients and understand what they’re saying back. It’s nice to have something so perfect for our profession. And I think that it’s also nice because it’s an interactive lesson. The training course is pretty easily accessible and you can go back and look up lessons and refresh what you need to look at.
Do you write songs but keep getting stuck? Or maybe you've always wanted to write but don't know where to start? I've been writing songs for over a decade with 5+ albums on iTunes, Pandora, Spotify, and retail stores. From developing lyric ideas to song forms, I can help you craft your ideal song!
Hi! I'm Josh, a passionate music educator in Boston, MA. I have taught over 2000 lessons over the past five years to piano, voice, and theory students of all ages. From preparing for rock-vocal style auditions at Berklee College of Music to helping re-discovering the fun of classical piano lessons, there is nothing I enjoy more than working with students on achieving their goals. As a gigging musician and a lifetime student myself, I know what it takes to improve, master, and most importantly ENJOY your time at your instrument. Looking forward to helping you reach all your music goals!
About me: I eat/breathe/sleep music. From writing and conducting my first A Capella piece in high school to playing in bands that have toured around the world, music is my passion and my life! I value nothing more than finding that passion in others and
working together to turn musical fantasies into realities.
From grade school to high school I took rigorous classical piano lessons. In 2006-07 I attended two summer programs at Berklee College of Music where I studied jazz/rock performance, and continued to study jazz piano at Washington University.
At Boston University, I studied classical music composition/theory, and was accepted to for a dual degree in Music Composition, Psychology, but decided to pursue music as a minor in order to allow more time for gigging. Since relocating to Boston, I have performed 250+ shows in various ensembles around the greater Boston area.

This was awesome! I am excited for my next lesson!
I have been teaching songwriting for over four years. These lessons are wholly rewarding as I love to conduct it as a "jam session" of sorts, helping my students frame their ideas into versus-chorus form, as well as helping them with basic music theory and sheet music transferring digitally with Sibelius 7 or in paper form.
Hey there, everyone!
My name is Milton Carl Jackson II and I teach vocal, guitar, piano, and musical theatre lessons in the Inland Empire area.
I help those young, middle-aged, and not-as-young tap into their own soul through music so that they may help others find theirs as well. I believe that in order to entertain others with your voice or your instrument, one must first be able to entertain oneself - all the while having fun doing it! As a recent graduate of the University of California, Davis with a double major in Music History & Ethnomusicology and African-American & African Studies; a former co-host of the popular hip-hop radio show ATF Radio: All Things Fresh on KDVS 90.3 FM; a former Music Director of The Afterglow of UC Davis; and a recent graduate of American University with a Master's of Education in Business Education
, I have come in contact and learned from a vast amount of different musicians and educators. A classically-trained bass-baritone with roots in R&B, Soul, Rock, Pop, and Jazz, I have aspirations to help each and every student realize their full musical potential.
If you're looking for a teacher who will motivate and inspire you not only to learn your instrument of choice, but also how to perform it (whether on the big stage or in your living room for the family) and record it as well, I'm the perfect teacher for you. Learning to sing, play, and act beautifully doesn't have to be difficult -- we'll work on finding your voice or your style, all while having fun along the way!
I teach in-studio, in-home, and online lessons, so we can be flexible with the lesson type and schedule!
This is a perfect chance for you or your child who can't stop singing around the house or has dreams of shredding on the guitar or twinkling on the ivories to learn the fundamentals of music, start something new that keeps them or you focused, and have fun while doing it!
Feel free to contact me at show contact info for any questions and check out my student reviews and qualifications.
I look forward to meeting you and accompanying you or your child on your musical journey!!
I am always excited to assist people who have a creative vision, or the curiosity to begin looking. I respect this process and the courage it requires, and I carefully avoid offering guidance that is overbearing or discouraging. What I will offer is a wide array of tools, tips, and strategies, along with sincere feedback and encouragement.
I majored in music at Berea College, then went on to The University of North Carolina School of the Arts, where I completed a Masters degree in guitar performance and served as the graduate assistant to the guitar department.
For the past ten years I have earned a living performing and teaching guitar. I am a certified Suzuki instructor, and I've held teaching positions at Winston Salem State University and the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, along with at least half a dozen other schools and institutions. I've been featured on other artists' records, and received a grant to release an album of my own songs. I regularly perform in a wide variety of bands and ensembles.
I love to teach, and over the years I have taught hundreds, maybe even thousands of lessons. Having learned something from each and every one
of my students, I am now at a point where I excel at honing in on the individual interests and learning styles of whoever comes to me for help. There are many ways to learn guitar. The best one is the one that engages and inspires you the most. That said, there are also music fundamentals that we all need to know. My joy as a teacher lies in finding a way for you to master the fundamentals while at the same time following your personal bliss and intuition. We plot the course together, combining your curiosity and enthusiasm with my years of experience.
I also love working with kids. While they are having fun jamming, I discretely provide them with the technique and musicianship they'll need to excel in any musical environment, whether it's conservatory study or playing in a great band.
*** Lesson Details *** Your enthusiasm is the key to your success, so my lessons are tailored to the interests and abilities of each student. That said, my classical background and dedication to effective teaching inform everything I do.
All of my students learn Music Fundamentals: -Technique (habits of movement) -Theory (how music works) -Aural skills (hearing pitches, chords and rhythms clearly)
Many of my students use books. There are hundreds of great books these days, and I will work with students from any book they choose. Listed here are the books I regularly use. They all deliver great results:
-Aaron Shearer "Leaning The Classic Guitar" -Will Schmidt and Greg Koch "The Hal Leonard Method" -Joe Pecoraro "Read This First" -David Oaks "Music Reading For Guitar" -William Leavitt "A Modern Method For Guitar" -Mateo Carcassi "Melodic and Progressive Studies, Opus 60" -Leo Brouwer "Simple Studies"
Many of my students prefer to work without a book, and that is a great option too. These students learn scales, chords and theory and develop a repertoire of songs. I will show you how to play any song you'd like to learn. You can also work on writing your own songs or compositions, or improvising in any context, be it jazz, blues, Indian raga or flamenco.
Singing is also encouraged!
*** Studio Equipment *** Home studio: music stands, extensive library of all kinds of music, great sound system and ability to stream any song, several guitars, recording equipment, footstools, keyboard and percussion instruments.
*** Travel Equipment *** I'll bring my guitar and books, accessories as needed.
*** Specialties *** I specialize in versatility. I regularly play gigs doing classical, jazz, blues, rock, pop, and world music. All of these genres have a place in my heart, and I've devoted years to learning to play and teach them well.
I am equally polyamorous when it comes to the various things musicians do. I love to sing pop songs, dissect jazz lines, delve into expressive groupings with classical pieces, drill scales and arpeggios, you name it. Reading, improvising, composing and notating, transcribing and playing by ear, memorization, classical technique, blues technique, bluegrass technique, theoretical analysis... hit me up for any of that, or whatever else interests you.
I have been writing songs for more than 12 years and One of my composition is Finalist of the International Song Writing Competition.
Albino was born in Maputo, the capital of Mozambique, a country in southern Africa known for its rich musical and cultural heritage. Fueled by the resourcefulness and determination that have always characterized Mozambicans, he built his first guitar at 16 from a 5-liter can of oil, scrap wood, and strings made out of electrical cords.
Drawn to the sounds of neighborhood street musicians in Maputo, Albino began to play in a number of local bands. As with his home-made guitar, Albino wanted to combine styles and incorporate diverse elements in his music. For his talents to grow, he knew he needed experience new places, cultures, and sounds.
While studying music education and Performance at Universidade Eduardo Mondlane in Mozambique, he heard about the Berklee School of Music in Boston, USA, where he could expand his musical horizons
. Soon after, he was one of the first students to receive a full scholarship to Berklee through the African Scholars program. In 2009, he settled in Boston, Massachusetts.
At Berklee, he was exposed to a variety of influences, but wanted to go deeper into the roots of jazz and expand his knowledge of music. He auditioned and was selected to participate in the Berklee Global Jazz Institute, which is directed by Danilo Perez and the residency teachers, including Joe Lovano John Patitucci, and Terri Lyne Carrington. The Institute emphasizes an artist's original vision in jazz, and has helped Albino find his own unique voice in the art form.
Albino still felt the absence of his own Mozambican traditions in his music. With the help of his mentors, Richard Bona and Lionel Loueke, two of the most prominent African musicians in the United States of America today, he began to bridge that gap.
Today, Albino's music succeeds in combining many disparate parts into an organic whole. It incorporates his musical experiences from Mozambique, the U.S., and many other places around the world, combining rhythmic patterns and musical concepts to create a unique Moz-Jazz sound. He will always continue to combine and capture the energies of different musical traditions to create a unified and original musical style.
Albino's original composition “Mozambique Dance” was recorded by Jazz Revelation Records, a student-run record label at the Berklee College of Music, for the 8th annual album released in 2011. He also recorded “Awusiwana,” his own composition, for the Berklee 2012 summer album. His debut album, also called Mozambique Dance, is to be released in Spring 2013.
Albino is an active musician, and has performed in several countries including Mozambique, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Italy, the U.S., and Mexico. He has also produced and recorded various projects in Mozambique and in the United States. In 2012, he will graduate from Berklee College with a degree in Music Production & Engineering and Performance, and a minor in Acoustics and Electronics.

Albino - I just wanted to say thanks again so much for everything you did for me, I'm having so much fun recording. I just finished up my first track and was able to include guitars, bass, piano, drum and vocals, I can't believe how quickly you taught me all of this stuff. This is a huge improvement from where I was a few months ago. Thank you again!!!

Albino is an amazing teacher and musician. He has the ability to inspire you musically and make you feel very comfortable while doing it. He has taught me many new approaches, tips, and tricks to music theory. He has helped me to be able to really understand why things are the way they are, and not just figure things out on paper like an equation. Definitely the best tutor I've ever had! I'd highly recommend him.
My son had a wonderful lesson and was well prepared for his exam

Whether you're tackling singer-songwriting, accompaniment, pop/rock, jazz/funk/r&b, or even classical exercises, I can help you. I've studied piano/voice/guitar long enough to know what each kind of instrumentalist/vocalist needs. As a songwriter, I've taught at all levels and studied with some incredible songwriting mentors who've whipped me into shape. I'm well versed in a overview of all genres and styles, as well as specialized areas of study. As a writer, I'm also very familiar with coaching instrumentalists geared towards composition and arranging. If you're looking to improve your skills, I can help!
I want to teach the material that excites students. After a handful of really crummy experiences with teachers who wanted me to learn a specific way, I stumbled across a music school in Philadelphia and a college in Boston that really got the principle of teaching what students are drawn to. Bruce Springsteen wrote, "we learned more from a three minute record than we ever learned in school." Although I don't agree with that on all occasions, there is something so special about hearing something that makes you tick and going, "ok let me listen to that again, and now let me figure out HOW I can do that myself." As a teacher, I'm flexible, focused, and also love to have fun with music. It's something that makes us excited and alive; there's no use in pursuing something you love if you don't equally enjoy the process of getting great at
it. So let's find what makes YOU excited about music, and let's figure out out to make you great at it.
It's most important that I get a feel for what *you* want to achieve from your lessons, thus I'm a flexible teacher. Whether it be for professional writing or writing in your backyard, it's my job to provide you with the tools to sharpen your own, and bring other skills level with the areas in which you already dominate. As is the case for many (including myself as a kid), picking up writing often comes as the result of wanting to emulate another artist (my influences include Jason Mraz, John Mayer, and The Matrix songwriting team).
Hey there! My name is Jake, and I'm a lifetime musician. I began playing guitar and taking lessons 19 years ago (at age 8), and writing songs at 5!... my grandma recalls asking me to play "number 5" on the piano, and I'd do as I was asked, right from memory. Guitar, songwriting, and singing have long been my deepest passions, and having the opportunity to help others explore their own creative abilities has always made me feel whole. My style as an artist is especially in line with the Jason Mrazs, Colbie Cailats, and Ed Sheerans of the world, while as a writer I lean towards the styles of Scott Harris and Geoff Warburton (Shawn Mendes). Looking forward to working with creatives and musicians of all types!
"Indigo is a fabulous and diverse teacher! I've been taking lessons with her for about 9 months. Although my lessons are "officially" for songwriting, we
divide our time among that, guitar technique, and music theory. I've experienced so much progress and fun in several areas, and I attribute that to Indigo's teaching and guidance. I even wrote and produced my first solo song! Don't miss the chance to work with a great musician and teacher!"
"Truly incredible teacher!
I love her. She is so sweet, she is amazing I would tell all my friends interested in piano, voice, music theory, songwriting o
r anything having to do with music, to take lessons with her. I canât believe how much I have improved on my songwriting, voice and playing. I wish I had found her sooner. She's a miracle worker. Incredible and gracious, canât say enough good things about Fawn!"
"When I worked with Triana, she was very helpful in helping me revise and reconstruct one of my original songs. She was a very constructive co-writer and i
nstructor, as she helped make sure that each section of my song had a purpose and was impactful. Overall, Triana has a lot to offer to up and coming songwriters who may want an experienced musician or writer’s valuable input.
"Very patient, friendly and knowledgeable!"
"Jeff is among that rare breed that do more than just teach. Whether it's learning guitar, or how to write songs, what ever your musical desire may be, lea
rning with Jeff is a life changing experience and a gratifying journey towards your personal success in meeting your musical goals. I have known Jeff for over 30 years and can say, without question, you will not find a more compassionate, knowledgeable, or more capable guide through the world of song."
"Mimi is a very patient, compassionate, instructive, and inspirational teacher, and I am learning a lot about songwriting from her. Definitely several poin

The world of music is as vast as the world that we live in. Some genres have existed for thousands of years, while others are still being created today. This is all because music is constantly evolving.
