I've been crocheting for 15 years and I've never had a student leave a lesson unhappy. Within the first hour or so, you'll be able to do the basics of a chain and a single crochet and as time goes on you' will be able to make almost anything and read patterns. I specialize in crochet toys, but have also made blankets, hats, booties, art installations, etc. You will require yarn and a hook for your lessons. If you wish to practice at home you can purchase both of these in most craft stores for under $5. I love working with students of all ages and experience levels and I can't wait to meet you!

I love learning and teaching languages and although I studied law I really prefer teaching languages (I speak 5 languages) and sewing (another of my favourite hobbies) love travelling and photography.
I will be happy to answer the questions which arise in between your one-on-one lessons. In short, I will do everything I can to increase your rate of language acquisition.
It goes without saying that I love to teach! I have an easy-going personality and a positive attitude. Learning such a beautiful and multifaceted language as Spanish or Romanian will be fun with me. I love travelling, I have hosted many exchange students, so I have developed good communication and creativity skills.
I will encourage your interest and curiosity into the different cultures by using amusing topics during the session, which will automatically imp
rove your experience.
I am able to communicate with students at a very personal level . I am very passionate and enthusiastic to get them to learn. I will also promote study habits.
I have a lot of nice material and is interested in what people have to say and their needs. I am friendly and kind; I try to correct students making sure they don't feel embarrassed. Alexandra was professional and kind. She very patiently helped me through some technical problems with the camera on my laptop. She immediately recognized the problems I was having on my crocheting project and got me on the right track. She’s friendly and put me at ease right away. A very pleasant and informative session.
My youth was spent in Eastern Europe which meant cold winters. With that came mom’s teaching on how to make a scarf, a blanket, socks and sweaters. Though nowadays it may be counterproductive to knit, there is no better way to show someone you love than something that is handmade by you. I’ll teach you what it takes to get started. Book your sessions now and let’s start crocheting.
Before reading about me, I'd like to share up front the honor that my newest student, R., has brought to me by choosing to learn Romanian. Nothing special so far except that he is 100 years old!!!! Yes, you read that correctly: a century old. He is the outmost inspiring person in my life by teaching me that age is just a number and that learning can happen any day if we choose so. R is a medical doctor, a psychologist, a chemist and biologist. Words can't even define how great of a man he is and how grateful I am to learn from him, too. For instance, about a famous language called "esperanto", a language created in the late 19th century.
I'm an enthusiastic learner even after 19 years of formal education (two Masters, one Bachelor) earned on two continents continued by US military education in various forms, and formally tested studen
t who needed to document skills that were not formally captured on paper (like the foreign languages I know).
I love interacting with people and pass on my knowledge from five visited continents, instill love for learning and continuous curiosity for any subject out there. Nothing is impossible when you set your mind to it. Failing once doesn't mean that you'll never win (proof in my athletic years and life ever since); determination, hard work, self-motivation and a good supporting system can bring to reality even the most insignificant dreams that we believe may not come true, and especially those in which we passionately trust.
I believe in breaking down a goal into objectives, assigning tasks to each one of them, and then sticking to achieve them.
I'm a Certified Instructor with the Department of Homeland Security. My hobbies include practicing foreign languages (and proper grammar rules which highly reflect on one's education) by speaking them, learning about cultures and slangs, etymology, watching foreign movies, traveling internationally, taking photos, reading (a lot), carefully planning with room for error and impulsive decisions (to take the boredom out of things), meeting with life long friends, drawing, painting, and spending time outdoors for inspiration and health.
I'm elated at the opportunity of brainstorming with you and giving you tools to be an independent learner.
I am specialized in making Amigurumi (for beginners this is a Japanese art of crocheting stuffed toys, mainly creatures) I have made many items that I sell at craft shows (mainly in the summer) I would describe myself as skilled but there is always room to improve. Please feel free to ask to see my items I've made. I am always happy to share!

I keep it simple. Instead of hammering you with words you do not understand. I show you the way I learned how to crochet. I start off small and basically learn my way as I continue to crochet. I am still learning but I had to start somewhere.

I love to try anything when it comes to something I never considered learning how to do. Crocheting took over me and I stay on YouTube trying to better my craft.
I'm an island girl interested in sharing my love for crochet with adults and kids alike.
Learning to crochet is fun, creative and benefits children in a variety of ways. With the current popularity of these crafts and the variety of yarns and cool projects available, it's also easy to interest them in learning, and is a cost-effective program.
As many teachers and doctors attest, improvement is noted in:
Fine motor coordination Reading Math Comprehension Critical thinking and problem-solving
My name is T'quylla. I'm from a small island called Abaco in the Bahamas. My home was completely destroyed by Hurricane Dorian and we had to evacuate urgently.
My mother taught me as a child and I find great comfort in crocheting. It's therapeutic and calming. Not to mention the great satisfaction of creating something you can use or gift to someone else.
So, I just want to share my love and knowledge with all.
