I have been playing guitar as my main instrument for almost 20 years. I am a multi-instrumentalist who writes, records, and produces his own alternative/indie rock music (check me out on Spotify, Apple, Soundcloud, Amazon, Google!).
We can develop a lesson plan specifically for what you want to accomplish: covering your favorite songs, writing original songs, improvising, reading music/tabs, and "shredding".
Hello! My name is Taylor and I have been playing guitar since I was 10 (that puts me around 20 years experience at this point in my life). I have picked up singing, drums, piano, and bass since then. I write and record my own music in my own “studio” during free time from work. I occasionally will play cover sets at venues/events for $$$.
I have had 3-4 students in my life and I believe each has met their goals partly from my teaching, but mostly by their own commitment to put the time into practicing what I tell/show them. I have 1 student that just graduated ASU for guitar performance, and another student that writes/records/plays out with his band.
If you are willing to listen and put time in to what I ask you to practice then we should be able to accomplish what you are aiming for in music!
Hello! I’ve been playing guitar for over half my life and teaching for five years now. My love for music has played a huge role in my life, and I love sharing this passion with my students. Whether you are wanting to learn how to perform, compose music, or play your favorite song, I promise to help you achieve your goal. I’ve taught a variety of ages, and I truly believe it's never too early or late to learn an instrument. Every student is unique in what they are wanting to learn, so I promise to structure each student’s lessons to fit their individual goals and interests. It's also very important to me that my students enjoy each and every lesson, so the student is in complete control of their learning.
Hello! I’ve been playing guitar for over half my life and teaching for five years now. I first began learning guitar at a young age, and my passion for music has grown ever since.
My musical education began with guitar and music theory lessons when I was ten years old and continued until I graduated high school. These lessons included songwriting, music theory, and many other topics related to guitar. I also learned a variety of musical genres, including classic rock, acoustic, pop, country, and a bunch more. Being exposed to such a wide range of artists and genres was an incredible experience because it allowed me to learn numerous techniques and musical arrangements. This is also where I fell in love with artists like John Mayer, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, and Eric Clapton. These influential artists played a huge role in sh
aping my guitar playing, songwriting, and technique. This also led to me joining a singer-songwriter trio called Two Beards and a Boy where I was the lead guitarist. We currently perform at city events, fundraisers, and numerous restaurants in the DFW area.
In middle school, I became the lead electric guitarist in my church’s band. I have also lead the worship service on multiple occasions and subbed in at different instruments as needed. I also began taking private vocal performance lessons where I learned how to read music, sight read, and other musical skills. I continued taking these lessons in high school, where I was involved in multiple nationally ranked choirs and performed at Carnegie Hall in 2016. Being involved in my high school's varsity choir not only honed my overall musical abilities but led to opportunities accompanying the choir as a guitarist.
My love for music has played a huge role in my life, and I love sharing this passion with my students. Nothing beats the excitement of a student as they’re able to play their first song. Whether you are wanting to learn how to perform, compose music, or play your favorite song, I promise to help you achieve your goal.
I began giving guitar and music theory lessons in high school. I’ve taught a variety of ages, and I truly believe it's never too early or late to learn an instrument. Also, it's very important to me that my students enjoy each and every lesson, so the student is in complete control of their learning. I have been working with children and youth for many years through the Upward Sports program, and I love building connections with all of my students to create a comfortable and fun learning environment.
As a college student at UT, I am very flexible with scheduling, so feel free to contact me about available times for lessons. I hope to hear from you soon, and please let me know if you have any questions!
Daniel was the most helpful teacher that I've ever had! He is extremely talented and was so prepared for every lesson. Even when I ran into error he was patient and helped me figure out what to do better next time. I recommend!

I'm a rock blues guitar player, graduated from the Los Angeles College of Music. I've played with some of the most renowned musicians of nowadays, such as Guthrie Govan and Philip Bynoe (Steve Vai).
My debut album was released in 2016, featuring some special guests such as the guitar legend Scott Henderson. I've toured all over Brazil, Mexico and the U.S. promoting my original music and giving guitar masterclasses. I have over 10 years of experience teaching guitar (electric and acoustic), ukulele and bass.
Knowledgable electric guitar player available to teach all ages and skill levels! I make my lessons exciting and engaging by focusing on what the student wants to learn, while also teaching them the building blocks for a solid foundation in their musical journey. I specialize in blues, rock, funk, jazz, and country. I can teach out of Hal Leonard Books, but I can also write out music, or I can just teach you to learn by ear. I'm exciting to meet you and start grooving!
I am a semi-professional guitarist and I have played in the local Dover - Seacoast area with different groups over the years which is given me a greater understanding about my craft.
Students can expect to improve incrementally after each week as we explore different techniques and styles that the student is interested in. Using your favorite songs, I will teach you proper building blocks for good technique in order to get the best sound and achieve the best playing experience possible. I can teach students of all ages and skill levels. I can teach you to read and learn things by the book, or I can teach you to learn by ear. I base my lessons around the goals of the student.
I have a passion for playing music and sharing my joy with people through that. I can't wait to meet you and help you with your musical journey!
I have worked with Jarred for several years, not only is he a talented player but he is very knowledgeable about many different aspects of music inlcuding theory and reading. He helped me teach a class at an adult center and showed a real ability to patiently help students throughout their lesson time. I would highly recommend!

Jarred is an incredible guitarist. This guy is the real deal and I highly recommend studying with him. Seeing him play live is always mesmerizing.
Want to learn how to play an exact solo note for note? Want to learn how to improvise and jam? These are skills I've worked on developing for 15+ years in a plethora of styles. I can help you get there faster.
I am not your classically trained guitar player, I learned how to play guitar through online videos and playing/jamming with as many people as possible. This was tough because I couldn't ask questions or receive encouragement throughout the process. Now I want YOU to be able to learn from my mistakes and jump through the ranks of guitar much more quickly and efficiently than I did. I've learned in the music industry you HAVE to stand out, so we will focus on what kind of music you love and I'll help you harness what makes you unique. At the end of the day, however, I cannot practice for you. The students I work with must have a strong passion for music and be ready to put in the hard work it takes to kickstart your playing to the next level.
A little about me: I've been a touring musician in Nashville, TN for almost 10 years. I'v
e performed in just about every venue around town- from the gritty honky-tonks to the iconic stages of The Grand Ole' Opry and the Ryman Auditorium. I play guitar, sing, piano, harmonica, and write songs. My experience and networks within this industry will help you achieve YOUR musical success.
"I haven't had lessons in a long time. But I wanted to get back into them as I feel like I missed alot on my musical journey as a guitar player. Greg knew
right away where to start to get me going on the right path. He explains things in a way that's easy to understand and I have alot of fun learning from him."
"Stephen is a brilliant and experienced guitar instructor. My wife signed me up the electric guitar lesson with Stephen after my retirement about a year ag
o. I told him that I had no music background and just wanted to be able to play the 70’s songs I like. The lesson plan is based on my level and my goal. I started the fundamentals and now I can play most my favorite 70’s songs. I enjoy every lesson with him. What I learn in one hour class can fill out the rest of the week. Thank you for making my retired life so meaningful. “It’s never too old to play guitar! “ I would highly recommend Stephen to anyone who wants to learn to play the guitar!"
"Greg is a best-in-class and excellent musician, and more importantly, he is able to translate those skills to his students in an easy-to-understand manner
. I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone looking for lessons, beginner or more, young or old."
"Jeff is great! Very well prepared. His lessons will help me improve and reach my guitar playing goals."
"I first got to talking with Zach back in 2015, I had been looking for an accomplished musician to play at my husbands birthday party. He did not disappoin
t! ! Everyone was very impressed with his music style and professionalism. Through that connection we got to talking, and I also learned that he teaches music all over the south bay! Years later now in 2019, My 16 year old son had been wanting to take electric guitar lessons, but we had not been finding a good fit with a teacher. My son is very smart and artistic, however struggles with a mild learning disability. I reached out to Zach, and we discussed giving it a try. Zach is very patient and breaks up the music information in a way that is very understandable for my son, and is hands on pointing out the best techniques to help him excel, and stay engaged. My son has been taking lessons from Zach once a week for a few months, and I cannot believe my sons progress!! He actually enjoys learning the guitar and is feeling very inspired to continue to learn more because he is learning to play all the songs he is interested in. MY son is now teaching me how to play some new songs..I am thankful to Zach for empowering my son to unlock his musical ability and keeping him interested in learning in a stress free environment. Zach although very professional, he is a relaxed teacher, and very relatable to young people, teens and young adults which I think makes lessons fun! I am very picky about who teaches my kids, and Zach I would say checks off all the right boxes!!"
"Greg has been able to help me with all my questions about effects, amps and the terminology associated with their settings and what they actually do for
any of my electric guitar setups !"
"Dave is an awesome instructor! He is very knowledgable and gives me everything I need to have productive practice sessions. He also explains the material
really well. The lessons are super chill which makes them fun and I have been improving quickly."
"I took both acoustic and electric lessons from Max, he was awesome! He is extremely talented and can help figure out any song you like and teach it to you
. He's also incredibly knowledgeable about music theory and can help with anything from rock to to jazz . He's a very patient teacher and I would recommend him to beginners, as well as advanced players trying to increase their guitar skills."
"Donnie is an excellent teacher. He a good sense of picking up on parts that may be difficult for a student and working out a new way or technique to learn
